Biden Administration Plans Crackdown on Migrant Child Labor

The move came days after a Times investigation showed children were working in dangerous jobs throughout the United States.

I'll say, your artwork is outstanding.

Ah, but that theory of what is realpolitik is turned on it's head by clever people. Putin decries his war as a response to Western and in particular US influence. It seems to me this necessitates a re-evaluation of what is realpolitik in such a situation. Thus, who is driving? Ukraine is driving.

It's quite likely I am misunderstanding, but a peek at the senate.mo website suggests the article had the bill number and possibly the house of congress wrong.

Nah, not unless they are awful as a dept as then what to do as a replacement. Surely in general oversight at the local level would be helpful. I worry though that sometimes the response on an individual level may be to do less for what is sometimes seen as an ungrateful public, and if that is applied often enough (such as cultural influence) then have someone run for office on anti-crime with a result that reforms are hindered and an excess of funding is diverted to the security tech industry.

I understand that it's not easy to build housing projects nowadays but that is something I think would often be a better use of tax dollars, and with priorities elsewhere the barriers to such projects are not surmounted.

I also realized I should have posted that in the thread for policing a short while after I posted it.. Here is a link that is much more appropriate to this thread:

It says that temp services are sometimes used as a middleman.

The article makes me wonder if some sort of optional residence academy would be part of the solution.

One thing to remember is the reason that the department is hurrying placements is that there is not enough housing available and everyone remembers the kids in cages of the Trump era. Would a paired school and residence campus be helpful as an option? I don't know enough to venture what to do about the debt mentioned in the article that some owe. Any ideas? Without immigration reform it seems likely these debts will remain a problem without a solution other than child labor; I'm not sure what could be done to not incentivize it; paying the debts would make it lucrative and reliable.

In the short term it seems there should be more done to ensure they stay in school and don't drop out to work at a factory and that child labor laws are not being broken.

Let's let Ukraine decide on that imo

I believe that F-16 pilot training by the US should begin. This is in case Ukraine cannot find an agreement in the recent release of what was termed a position paper, which I would leave up to Ukraine rather than advisors who may stand to make a lot of money.

Now now, no dirty documents. Far be it to tell you what to do of course; however I do advise that a dirty document is not in your long term interest. Skepticism is not your ally to be garnered. Fidelity is.

Some kind of free weekend going on Steam for this, looks like a DLC or some such.

I played the base game a little a year or two ago, was trying to make friends with a co-worker who loved the Destiny series but that didn't work out.

It seemed a bit on the easier end of mmoshooter but I don't think I got very deep into and kind of solo'd so I don't think I ran into the harder content before going back to Planetside 2.

EDIT so not to re-bump: I tried it again, seems like a pretty good game. There is a Legendary mode that felt about right on difficulty, though the quest I was doing required me at one part to defend a capture point to open a gate and it overwhelmed me with swarms of opponents at that point. I went back to standard difficulty to progress. I joined a few public events and started a mission other players apparently are recruited automatically to join. Otherwise I ran around solo because I haven't figured out how to flag for LFG or found a recruitment panel or such. It seems to go by Steam friends list which is a bad way to go since no one on my list is playing it, but I could risk pestering them with an invite to this game if I dug too deep into that. An in-game lfg system for (random) people already in Destiny 2 would probably be better.

EDIT2: Lololol I saw an ad on the steam login popup saying this dlc is $99 ($50 for dlc and $50 for season pass). I take back what I said, totally not worth what they are charging.Went from hey this game is ok to holy cow this game is a garbage overpriced time sink soon as I saw that.

I don't have any idea what Prospector is like but are you familiar with the X series?

A tip might be to keep stockpile destinations close to workshops producing, or eliminate them for things you want to decorate in the same workshop, for example making totems and then decorating them near your refuse (bones) stockpile. If you don't have a stockpile taking totems, you can save the hauling jobs in between and decorate them easily as the totems are nearest the dwarf in the workshop, at the cost of workshop clutter. If clutter becomes very bad, it can be rectified with a mass dump order over the workshop with an adjacent dump zone, though the hauler dwarves picked can travel a long way for the dump order.

Spoiler: Suggestion (click to show/hide)

A good idea for things like a magma sea level metal industry or other distant "wings" of the fort is to build amenities for the workers there so they don't travel 100 levels upstairs to take care of needs as often, though the haul to and from there will still be a long walk. Maybe a burrow would help even more with the above stuff by keeping the haulers in the area, but I usually regret using those for long periods ("Urist McBurrow has been found dead!").

Is it possible to get dwarfs to equip the fancy weapons and armor found while mining ("treasure of the gods")? Mine just seem to simply ignore instructions to equip them.

Are they the correct size for dwarves? Are they conflicting with other armor assignments, for instance boots not being equipped while worn over clothing is enabled as the dwarves can't stack shoes (clothing) and boots (armor)?

Posting to say that I think this game has some promise from what I've seen from various demos. I'm looking forward to it, and hoping it comes together well.
