DF Gameplay Questions / Defiling temples (Adv. Mode)

Had a search of the forums and cannot find any information.

How does one defile a temple in adventure mode?

I've toppled statues but that seems to of not done anything.

Edit. Okay so the temple has to actually have a priest or at least be active in some way, and then have a statue toppled to "defile" it.

Not sure if it needs a dedicated god or not yet.

Right now i cant find any other thread that contains the relevent explination of certian armor tags

What i really want to know is what the Barred and Scaled tags mean and do.

another thing is the layer size as i dont quite understand it's significance. and what it has to do with armor. and as to why creatures have it.

i'd also like to know what UB and LBSTEP mean and do. and i can only imagine that coverage means what it says on the tin.

heyy guys i want to know all the mistakes fun times you have ever had with magma

okay i will go first

a mistake fun time i had was when i didnt know bauxite was the only magma proof stone. flamming dwarves and exploding booze followed leaving a lone survivor i locked up that i had locked in a room to starve (broken upper spine  >:( )
