Ok, I have a random idea to shake things up...  How does everyone feel about a MC to me?  Granted, you can't be sure that I'm not some sort of crazy murderer out to kill you all in your sleep, but I did take care of one of the scum already (which is more than we've managed to do otherwise).

Also, if you believe me, everyone knows my role and that I'm vanilla now.  So I think I'm going to be the closest thing to a confirmed townie that you're going to get without said townie getting mod-killed.

So far, we know that Vector, Leafsnail, eduren, and dakarian claim to be coplike, but not much about webadict, Rysith, NUKE9.13, or Apostolic Nihilist.

So, what do you think?

-Nope, haven't played on this board before. As mentioned, if you want me to link to the boards where I have played, go ahead.

Welcome then, to the insanity that is Bay12 / Dwarf Fortress forum mafia!

I don't mind not knowing your playstyle so long as you stay active.  Lurkers are rather hard to read (and tend to get lynched).

Ah, actually, now that I think about it; hadn't we started night phase? Isn't there usually a kill during afore-mentioned phase? Kirb implied that someone didn't send their action in, to be honest, so I suppose that's a possible explanation, but regardless- I thought it would've started with a hit...

This is worrysome, because IIRC ExKirby said that he would be starting with the mafia allowed a night kill.  Most likely it was blocked or protected against in some manner or another, but still...  It is interesting.

Hey JanusTwoface, how did you manage to forget about the Random Voting Phase? Come on now, what were you thinking?

FoS Janus. RVS is almost mandatory around here, Janus. How silly of you to forget.

I don't have a problem with Random Voting itself, my main problem is with people that just randomly vote and wonder off without actually provoking any discussion (like Leafsnail).

Everyone (with the possible exception of Baal for being newer to this particular board) has been random voted at least once, so being random voted really shouldn't provoke a reaction.  It's the questions and conversations (that hopefully stay relatively game-focused as well) that can potentially draw scum out.

After a bit, if people aren't posting the threat of potentially getting lynched for lurking is a good reason to vote, but random voting?  Kind of silly...

What we have right now (correct me if I'm wrong):
- 8 living players
- 2 scum remaining (from 3 originally)
- scum have no night kill (this is seeming very strange)
- confused cops are all over the place

If the cops don't mind, could you post again (concisely) what you've gotten?  The claims are scattered all over the thread (which is at almost 400 posts now) and I'm sure I don't have all of them.

I'm not asking for any additional information if you don't want to share, just what you've posted so far.

Also, webadict, you were going on Apostolic Nihilist for lurking and other reasons earlier.  What are your thoughts now?

Also, Apostolic Nihilist, you haven't posted for something like 60 of the last posts and that was to vote along with most of the rest of us on Cheeeter (IIRC).  Care to explain the lurky bandwaggoness?

Bah for random votes without a reason / question / anything at all.  FoS Leafsnail

PrinnyBaal, I haven't seen you around before, so I have a couple of questions for you:
- Have you been in Mafias on this board so far (if so, which)?
- How sure (as a percent) of scummitude would you have to be to hammer someone?

1) The picture is not updating unless I move the screen/change levels.

Press 'R' to manually refresh the screen.
Press '+' / '-' to set up automatic refresh (you have to use the ones on the numpad.

If you already knew this and it's some other problem, feel free to ignore me.

Didn't someone do the % chance of a normal tower beating a normal cabal and the cabal came out victorious more than 90% of the time or something?

That was me, although it was under the round 1 ruleset. I haven't updated it for the rules tweaks yet being not in this round.

Back to not being here...

(Also, please don't miss me again Meph... ;D)

I believe that I unvoted forsaken around the point I started defending him.  In any case, unvote again just to be sure.

Semi-random Mod Question:  Do you prefer unvotes be in red as well?  I think I put the last one in blue, so you may have missed it.

The general consensus seems to be for a No Lynch today?  I'm game if that's the case.

Vote to end the day early (pending any further discussion).

For those wondering (forsaken), here's why a No Lynch makes sense in a case such as this:
- If we lynch correctly, the mafia kills tonight and we're in the same situation (numberwise) tomorrow.
- If we lynch incorrectly, the mafia kills tonight and we have even numbers tomorrow (we lose).
- If we No Lynch, the mafia kills tonight and we still outnumber them tomorrow with hopefully more information.

Basically, unless we are completely sure who is scum, it makes sense to No Lynch at this point.

(For anyone that already knew all of this, please ignore me for the time being; I was working through why it makes sense myself, so I figured I'd post it)

Of course, having a Exterminator / Vig in play makes things far more interesting...

For not sending a role.

Also, inandhammers.
Would have been nice to have at least one reminder or something seeing as I was the first person to even respond...  Oh well, no worries.

I just thought that, while it's fine to sit out for 20 minutes or so on irc, it's pretty annoying to be knocked out of a 3 week forum game without any chance to participate.
It's kind of like not getting in the game in the first place.  With so many mafia games cropping up on this board, all you have to do is just join a different one.

It was all sarcasm, Janus. Do not worry.
Ooooh sarcasm on the internet...  ;D

HOWEVER, it COULD be an Exterminator. Just keep that in mind.
Fair enough.  First use of camouflage perhaps?

So... Kashyyk, why are you ignoring Paranormal?  You've been online (and even posted) since the day began but you haven't said a thing yet.

So far as the vig... I'm not sure yet.  I'm going to work under the hope for now that the vig is town because we're going to have some problems if this is not the case.

- With Leafsnail as the kill, I think that a town vig would be hoping that at least one of webadict's guesses would pan out.
- A scum vig on the other hand might have either been trying to cast suspicion on those Leafadict accused (Org and Mr.Person) or WIFOM into thinking we did.

Like I said though: for now I'm thinking / hoping town vig.

Send role now?

No, you should wait until after the game starts to send it in.

Dammit! I just sent my role, why didn't you say that sooner?

Sorry. Guess you can't play now. =/

Nooo! But i had such a brilliant role!

I'm hoping that there is some sarcasm here.  But I can't read it if there is.

Because the OP title says that ExKirby still needs 2 roles.

You all deserve to lose.
Says the dead person who managed to get 2 / 3 townies killed (depending on if the Vig / whatever is town or dopp).

All the people Webadict said were scum are town.

I almost missed this. This seems like an interesting statement as you're one of the people Web called out as scum here.

However, Mr.Person has seceded you in scumminess. He knows that you are indeed scummy and yet refuses to vote for you.
Methinks Mr.Person's original post was a bit of an exaggeration.  Granted, Toony, web, and Leafsnail are dead, but webadict managed to accuse most of the players in the game as being scum at one point or another.

That is a neat way of making yourself look more towny though, Mr.Person...

I don't know if lurking is Org's normal behavior ...
It is.  It really is. And this is rather annoying most of the time.
Clarified.

Although he's being relatively helpful at the time being, this is good.

@Forsaken again:Yeah, okay, when did I work with Pandar.

This?

HI I'M SCUM
HI IM TOONYMAN
NO YOURE PANDAR.

(Not really helpful)
