That was unexpected.

Unless I'm missing something though, this does mean that either Org or Josh is guaranteed to be scum.  (Unless of course both are).
The Disciple of Truth always gets the truth, yes?

So far as I see it, if Josh ever turns out to be town, then Org is basically guaranteed to be scum.
On the other hand, if Org turns out to be scum, that doesn't necessarily clear Josh.  They could have planned this.

I'm not sure about protecting Org.  Sorry, but your ability is only usable once and it doesn't actually guarantee that you're town.

I don't know about Josh's counterclaim, just wanted to post this first while I think about that.

Misquoted.
JUST GOT BACK FROM SCHOOL. JUST HAD SOME LEMONADE AND PRETZELS. STOP VOTING MEH.

Do you want to get banned from mafia games? You're not being funny.

I am funny. And no. And you are not everyone.
There
Thank you much.

So, any of you feel like commenting on the insanity that is Paranormal thus far?

@BloodBeard
Interesting choice.  I see where you're coming from, although I'd personally go with Observant Bodyguard myself.  It would give the perpetrator a chance to defend himself (if an alien for example) and potentially help the town.  And there are vig. like roles to help with removing threats.  But to each his own.

@Org
I really hope you are joking with that quote.
- This is what I said at 4:25 pm (the timestamp in the nested quotes): clicky
- This is where the quote came from (not me): clicky
Please double check your sources and back down.

This just keeps getting weirder and weirder.  And for ToonyMan, that's saying something.  ;D

That wasn't me.  That was BloodBeard.

I'd prefer that you be a little more active, but I'm not going for kicking anyone out.

@Janus:I was serious. And you are not everyone.
- I am mildly confused by this.  This first part makes sense in that you were telling the truth about lemonade and pretzels.  And I believe you.  Unless you meant something else... In which case I'm even more confused.
- But for the second part, I'm not sure.  Why I would be everyone?

Care to explain, please?

I'll answer that question, but first I want you to answer a question. Do you believe you will be able to draw some kind of information based on what I pick, yes or no? I ask this because I don't see any possible conclusions that can be drawn from which of the three I'd prefer. I'd have no control on which one I'd get as you said and it would be of zero use to the town to know which one i'd prefer, that I can think of. This just seems too much like a safe question.

That's a fair question.  I do think that I can draw some information from your answer, although maybe not what you expect.  Rather than seeing how scummy you act, I can get a bit of a feel for your play style.  (As long as you answer truthfully).  Then, later, I can put this with other information to get a better picture.

If you felt like explaining your choice (in short) that would be appreciated as well... ;D

... However, since I told you that, I'd probably actually kill JanusTwoface, because I could never convince him I was a Townie. ...

Is this referring to last round when I was the Scientist.  Because in that case, I knew you were town and actually would have let you go with the first other Human I accidentally caught.  :P

... Also, you guys certainly backed off of chaoticjosh fast. He managed to control himself but he has a voice when he's scum that you can read. ...

So I'm not the only one that thinks this?  Interesting.

While I'm at it: webadict, do you prefer to see someone lynched day 1 or not?  (And why?)

@chaoticjosh
Okay, crunched through everything and if I could get three people to show up and talk, it would be Kashyyk, Frelock, and Pandarsenic.  So far as I can tell, they've posted 0, 1, and 2 times respectively.  I guess this was kind of the obvious answer at this point though.  Still, I'd like to hear what they have to say about everything thus far.

@Org
Do you have anything?  Anything at all?

Additional suspicion
The first time, that pyramid was jokingly suspicious.  But it does make me a little suspicious of ToonyMan and RedWarrior0.  They've voted each other back and forth a bit much for my tastes.

@RedWarrior0
If you would be so kind as to explain your odd voting regarding ToonyMan, I would greatly appreciate it.

Off the top of my head, if I could get both showing up and participation, then I would have to say Org.  He shows up every once in a while, but tends to get lynched or killed early for lack of talking.  It would be interesting to see what he has to say about things.

Give me a few minutes on the others.  I'm going through and collecting information to track voting and participation records.  That should help.

@Xegeth
And good enough choice Xegeth.  Not necessarily what I would choose (see Paranormal 8, ;D), but an expectable choice.
And now, I'll pass along chaoticjosh's paranoia / preferences.  You're doing sort of what I was doing and being a bit overly passive.  So be more active!  Yay activity and reading approximately 12 million pages of text.

(OOC: What is the default posts per page?  I have mine set to the maximum, so I only have barely over 4 pages so far)

@chaoticjosh / @ToonyMan
Ok then, I'll back down for now.  But I still think that one or the other of you (or both) merits investigation.  Both from the fun earlier and as a general feeling.

@chaoticjosh
If I were scum, I'd know the other scum.
If both you and Toony were town, I'd kill one of you hoping to pin the other.  (Investigators could counter that though)
If only one of you was town, I'd kill the town one, hoping to clear the other.  (I know it contradicts the first point)
If both of you were scum, I'd congratulate you on your cunning scheme and kill a lurker.  (It gives the town the least information)
The most likely alternative would be to kill the more active players to get rid of the biggest threats, but where's the fun in that?

I figured as much, but that's really not what I meant.  By explain, I'd either prefer that you prove it or for chaoticjosh to confirm that this conversation actually took place.

Then at least, we'd know that either you are both telling the truth, both lying, or at least backing down.  Which I guess doesn't help at all, directly.  But it would be nice for peace of mind.

@ToonyMan / @chaoticjosh
Unvote.  My interrogation with Sir Josh is done.
That's kind of abrupt.  Care to explain?
(I'd also be happy with Josh saying something along the same lines, for now at least)

For that matter, this is starting to feel more like an elaborate scum game.  Back and forth and back and forth and then... poof.  No more fighting.  Days down the road, one of you dies and turns up scum.  But no, you couldn't both be scum, could you?

@Xegeth
Fair enough.  Along the alien line of thought, which tech most appeals to you?

That's probably true and mayhaps why I tend to live till endgames.  On the other hand, that's not necessarily a good thing, because then I'm either town, stuck with a potentially game ending vote or scum trying to argue my way out of getting lynched.

What do you want from me then?
- Random votes?  I think that they tend to cause more problems than they're worth with even the town having to be careful not to bandwagon, OMGUS, etc so that they don't get lynched.
- Semi-random inquiries? These are more useful. I just haven't had any time to go through and pick out worthwhile targets yet.
- Something else?

On the topic of semi-random inquiries:
Xegeth, you should still be around.  If you were an Alien Scientist, who would you abduct first?
BloodBeard, which of the three bodyguard varients would you most prefer to be (if you had a choice, of course)?

@chaoticjosh
Well then it's 1/1 times. :P  (I remember now that I was scum a couple of those times and you were town.  Still on the opposite team though).

Anyways, Cheeetar...?  So far as I can actually tell he's only posted twice and neither of them had terribly much content.  Just some sort of attack on webadict acting funny.  (Which, granted, web was acting a mite strange, but I don't blame him for that (yet))  Basically he's somewhere between pure lurking and active lurking.  Cheeetar, you have anything to say about that?

@Xegeth
I don't disagree with you.  Mainly because I don't overmuch want to deal with the idea that both are town and doing the scum's job for them.  At the very least the investigative type roles have someone to look at?
