Mostly Zai, it's that I don't find you any more suspicious than anyone else at the moment.  What I had on you was based on a mistake.  (Which probably means that you are in fact Mafia...)

Triple Voter?  Interesting.  So either Org is lying--reporting a known role--or telling the truth--in which case only Mr.Person's role is missing (or any lying scum).  Nothing much we can do about that.  (Unless whoever has the missing role wants to roleclaim?  ;-D)

I guess I'll unvote and vote inaluct to get him to talk a bit / vote.

Psuedo-edit: Why I'd still like to see what Org has to say about his known role.

To hide a powerful (and currently unknown) Mafia role from the Town perchance?

Ouch.  Wow, I didn't even think of that.  (Some combination of having a crazy number of roles and people, most likely).  It does make Paranormal rather interesting to try to think through.

(Note to self: If chaoticjosh takes part in a double lynch in the next round and only one side dies, remember this conversation)

Org IS the tie breaker. Notice how both Zai's and Janus' votes are counted on this page:
Ah, missed that.  At least Zai isn't (currently) on my list of suspicious people.

That's pretty rational of you Meph, to immediately jump to the conclusion that I'm being framed instead of calling me scum. Perhaps you're in fact scum, and you want to do some sort of weird reverse bus, to make an innocent look more innocent, in order to draw suspicion away from yourself?
And perhaps you're both scum, trying to throw the rest of us off by blaming each other.  But that kind of thinking is going to drive me insane, so I'll back down for now.

His point kind of makes sense, in that it allows the Town to kill two people a day which isn't how the original games were balanced.  Although it is also true that without knowing for sure who the Mafia is/are it's just as likely to hurt the town.  Especially if only one of the two is Town, then the Mafia could change at the last minute to save their own and kill the Townie (granted, by revealing one of their own).

Personally, I don't know if it's a good change or a bad one.  It definitely does give the game a different feel.

Right, read through older posts again (so edit by way of post):

One of Org, myself, and Zaithemaster is probably the Tie Breaker.  The vote wasn't tied, so the vote didn't count.  I'll go ahead and say that it isn't me.

This means that it is either Org or Zaithemaster.  Zai didn't seem to know about it, so either he's lying (and then most likely Mafia) or Org has it.  I'm going to guess that Org has it, because that seems like a silly thing to lie about.

Thoughts thus far (correct me if I seem wrong on anything, suspicions in italics):

Weird things in the vote count: It's probably one of the two (or more if the Mafia lied) roles we don't know about.  For example a Double Voter + Negative Voter.  Or some sort of conditional vote (only counts if it's the last vote, etc).  This is why we need Org's known role.

On chaoticjosh's innocence - Yes, I realize that it's WIFOM, but that also might be a Mafia ploy to make us believe him.  I'll just keep this one in the back of my head.

Kashyyk (almost) has to be the Lovestruck Voter, tied to ToonyMan's vote (Kashyyk's vote moved without any say-so in the matter).  By Pandar's logic (and I agree), this means that both are suspicious (ToonyMan more than Kashyyk for now).  The only exception would be if one of the two unknown role's has some sort of similar effect.

Neither Frelock or inaluct voted yesterday.  It might have been to avoid revealing that (one of them) could be a Negative Voter (unless the Negative Voter is in the group above), but it's still suspicious.

Org still hasn't revealed his known role.  In addition, he voted at the last minute for Pandar and then Pandar ends up dead.  Hmmm.

chaoticjosh and Pandarsenic both voted for Mr.Person.  One possibility is that chaoticjosh was trying to silence Mr.Person's role-revealing (meaning that the Mafia could have a powerful unknown role) and Pandar went with it to avoid dying as Forceful Voter.  The odd thing with this is that Org didn't die during the night.  Although by the same logic, Mephansteras is mildly suspicious for voting for Org.

Summary: I'm currently suspicious of Org, Frelock, inaluct, chaoticjosh, ToonyMan, and Kashyyk (in no particular order).  At this rate, I'm going to go insane from parania before long.  Also, I realize that this is twice as many Mafia as there are, but it's still something to go off of.

That's all I have for now.  In interest in finding out the last possible role, I'm going to vote Org.  Mr.Person and Org each had one (but didn't reveal it) and it's too late for Mr.Person's.  So what is it?

I'm also actively against double lynches. It's just a game-ruiner. Otherwise, I'd tell everyone to lynch themselves first day.

Now that... That would be an interesting game.

Why do I get a UAC elevation prompt when I run the program?
Because it directly reads and writes from/to the memory of another process.

That makes sense, but why don't any of the other DF Utilities require it?  Seems kind of odd.

Apparently Lifehacker agrees with you about MS Paint.

On a more serious note, I think we should start a semi-official discussion about conditional votes in the next round.  I'm still torn on whether I'd like to see them continue or not, but if they do, I would like to see a list of official possibilities and some sort of ordering.

My main idea would be to apply conditional votes in the reverse order that they are received.  In the case going on in the game of one person saying "tie the vote" and another (later) saying "untie the vote":
- All non-conditional votes are counted.
- "Untie the vote" applies.  If the votes are tied, untie them; otherwise, don't apply it.
- "Tie the vote" applies.  The votes are currently untied, so tie them.

Reverse the order to keep the first poster from re-posting his initial vote to change the order. (It could still happen, but would be less likely.)

(Overall, I think people should just pay attention to the game and avoid situations where it is necessary.)

Thoughts?

Voice from beyond the grave:
Unless everyone is really opposed to the idea, I would like to see this game played to its completion rather than bailing early.  It *looks* like a really strong position for the town, but I still want to see how it plays out.

Just my two cents, I'll go back to being dead now.

I don't know if this is the right place to make a suggestion, but it's something I suggested for DM as well:
Ability to mark animals for slaughter. I hate having to track down every last puppy or kitten to mark for slaughter. Added bonus would be being able to mark pets, visitors (Elf leather crafts, anyone?), and nobles for slaughter.

From what you said it seems you're unaware that the stocks screen (z) has an animals tab from which you can easily designate animals for slaughter. No need to track them down.

And Dwarf Companion for the butcherable everything else (albeit only with 40d, it doesn't have the correct memory locations for 40d# yet).

0.1.6 is now up. And if you have any earlier version it's highly recommended you update. 0.1.5 had a nasty bug preventing labor writing from working entirely. It would show the labor updates in game, but the dwarves wouldn't actually perform the labors. Update ASAP.

Oh good.  Now I don't have to wonder about my (or my dwarves') sanity.  I could have sworn I told them to dig a hole, but they just didn't want to.
