The hunter scratches the back of his neck.
: "I'd figure the plants and wildlife in the Reich is at least somewhat different. It'd be most apparent with the food, and I'd doubt they've been shipping rations all the way from the Reich to keep you supplied."

Jann's expression somewhat lightened when Brunhilde speculated the proper way to address his country. And then immediately returned to its usual glower after the explanation of her profession.
: "...Hm. I wasn't aware the Reich trained in magic other than Geomancy. I've worked with teams of them before. Helped them clear out the... well, problems surrounding my home village."
The hunter hesitated further, glancing back at the statue of Emperor Matias instead of looking at Brunhilde directly.
: "...I suppose it's a boon to have found some way to get around that kind of tragedy."
His left hand, covered in claw marks, flexes.

Jann's ear perked, alert to the shift in tone, as his eyes glanced over to the Captain. His next words were spoken a bit lighter, though only somewhat, than the biting undertone it had earlier.
: "...Well, it's not my business to go talking about a noble's duty. I just hope that kind of pride can end up bridging the divide you'll be staring down."

Jann's expression quickly turns perplexed.
: "...I didn't think that Troian history was still being taught in Blumhart."
His brow flexed as he seemed to make a realization.
: "Peritz... How did I not piece that together earlier, the Governor-General. You must be his daughter."
: "I suppose that explains the notoriety, and an angle at why you'd know about Empress Grifen."

: "Murderers that were going after your own, no less."
Jann sighed and shrugged.
: "Unless you would've preferred that they had the time to properly set up their ambush."

Jann's mouth slanted as the word "Overseasland" left Shaelynn's mouth, but he immediately shot to attention when the Captain mentioned Abado.
: "You're investigating what happened at Abado? I heard mention about it, but I didn't think the Reich was one to actually investigate."
: "...Fine, so long as this investigation doesn't end up risking Troian civilians, I'll keep my nose out of Reich business. If that's no longer true or if your superiors decide to pull you off, we go our separate ways. Good enough?"

: "Just what I needed today..."
The axeman's gaze turns to the captain, with a mixture of suspicion and frustration.
: "...So, an investigation? You're going to have to fill me in before I let myself get dragged around. What are you Reichlanders doing that would draw this kind of attention?"
