After equipping my ring on my right index finger, I continue studying Magical Theory.

2: You slip on the ring and decide to stare admiringly at it for a while.

Look around for a class or lecture (on summoning, of course) I can attend -- perhaps a tutor who I can pay to teach me.
5: You decide to look around for a tutor, and one of the more advanced students offers help for 10 silver. He is very knowledgeable, and you quickly learn most of the basic concepts. The speed you learn at impresses him, and though actual conjuration spells are very advanced, he tries to teach you one anyway. Several hours later you walk out of the academy popping simple items into mid-air.

New Spell: Conjure Minor Item

Help Chris gather up the goods so we can finally get moving, also get my kit back from him.
2: You stub your toe on a piece of rubble and hop around for a while saying "Ow, Ow, Ow"

ORGANIZE GOODS W/ KILIKAN
4: You pack up most of the items into the few intact crates and prepare to set off.

Also, even if all schools can heal, priests/paladins/clerics are traditional healers. So if you want, you can do something else tehstefan. Not that I'm saying you can't heal.

Name: Endok
Race: Dwarf
Traits and Proficiencies: Pious(Bonus to Divine Magic); Resilient(Bonus to Defense)
Equipment: Chainmail Shirt(+1 Piercing Defense; +1 Stabbing Defense); Holy Symbol of Limul(+1 Fire Defense; +1 Blunt Defense)
Bio: Shortly after his birth, he lost his mother to a tragic accident, and was "adopted" by his cruel uncle. His uncle always abused and beat him, and made ridiculous demands like "Make Bismuth Items". Suffering from multiple injuries, he would sit in his room, hoping somebody, anybody, would come to help him...

And somebody did. A dwarf by the name of Dom pulled a lever one day that flooded his uncle's room with magma. When asked why he pulled the level, Dom replied "I have no idea. It almost seemed like Limul herself forced me to." From that moment on, Endok knew his life's direction. He would become a paladin of Limul.

(I just pulled this out of my DF game. Limul is the god of wealth, jewels, minerals, volcanoes and mountains)

buddying up? where did i do this
itd help if i actually knew where said instances weree, so i could explain them

Instead of posting a mild defense then lurking again, why aren't you doing any scumhunting? You're on your way to being voted off. Townie or scum, you should never want to get voted off, especially during lylo. Yet you're sort of mildly accepting it for no reason. Why?

Honestly, the problem isn't that you wanted him in the ring, it's how you approached it. You didn't pay attention to his position or anything, you just decided right of, with him already figuring he was going in, it wasn't going to matter, and just sat and watched.

Could you clarify? I'm not sure what you're saying.

Please don't deal retroactive punishment on me, but I find it amusing how I cast a forbidden necromancy spell in the library, with a crowd of people watching, and nothing happened.

There was a city guard who was going to kill the zombie and arrest you. He died of fright.

I purchase a cheap ring, and inscribe a Latent Rune of Cure Light Wounds on it.
4+1=5: You spend 20 copper to purchase an unadorned brass ring. You then magically etch a rune into the outer band of the ring, resulting in a very functional band. As you finish the rune, the ring glows in a dull white light before fading.

Item: Brass Ring of Cure Light Wounds
+6 to Runecrafting

Just... bandage up my head.  Apply pressure.  Call for help.  The normal stuff when you bash your head against the floor.  Don't try to move.
Luck 3: Blood seeps from your wound.

5: You snatch the bandages from the ground and quickly bandage up your head. You managed to do a very good job, and you stop most of the bleeding, as well as stop your brains from falling out.

+6 to Healing
Head: Lightly Wounded

Pack book away, toss Chris the survival kit, and pack the merchants supplies into crates and haul them out of the ruins over to Chris.  "Laugh on the inside about how the dwarf can run through a wall yet can't manage to get up."
1: You start walking over to the goods, but slip and fall. Luck 5: You quickly tumble out of the way of a very pointy piece of rubble, snatching your book from mid-air before it lands in the mud.
=+2 to Acrobatics
I'll sigh and head toward the academy -- I should probably resume my summoning studies.
3: You head to the academy and grab a book on summoning. In fact, it looks like the same one you were reading last time. You decide not to read it out-loud. After a short study session you feel a bit more knowledgeable.
+2 to Summoning
