You kiss your son on forehead for good luck and send him off to battle alongside dwarves, Gubta, and the leftover of Luathbas military. Not that there are many soldiers left.
Even more bad news come from the south; the beaten Damdamians regrouped and are now camping near the ruins of House of Lech, and scouts have detected another full troop, 4000 Damdamians, marching from Lametania to reinforce their fighting brethren. This means that somewhere between 6 to 9 thousand (any estimates are sketchy at this point of war, really) Damdamians occupy the south.
Ceodwell has won! The numerically inferior troops of Luathbas and its allies have beaten back the mixed troop of Kiwis and Damdamians! The dwarvish runemasters, shortly before the battle, turned the Damdamian camps into muddy swamps, softening and liquidifying the soil. Then the Gubta rained slingbullets and javelins upon their heads before main corps of Luathbas infantry moved in to push upon the enemy. The Kiwi got panicked and ran away, leaving their Damdamian allies to die. The two thousand or so Damdamians stationed at Beren's lands might not be happy about this.
While a victory, it chipped away another few hundred of Luathbas men, leaving Ceodwell woefully outnumbered against any coherent force that could show up.
You decide to...
A) Declare this a good moment to ask the Damdamians for peace negotiations.
B) Have Ceodwell swing southwards and attack the fresh Damdamian troops.
C) Recall the leftover leftovers to the capital, and prepare to a inevitable siege by the Southerners.
