You ask them if they're interested in taking the runestone in exchange for nullification of the debt for the Sky Iron Knife.
They debate amongst themselves for a long while, to the point of some arguing, before there is silence. The leader turns back to you.
"While the runemasters would surely prefer coin for their services, I'm sure they will be content with having such a rare elven artifact instead. It is a deal."
The dwarves quickly produce an appendix to the contract for Sky Iron Knife in two copies, one which they take with themselves along with the chests of money.
Later, the forester that guided the dwarves to the stone mentions that he saw them excavate the stone and then roll it across the ground as easily as if it was a wooden barrel.
You receive reports that the peasants welcomed the festivals and eagerly participated in them, praising your name.
Despite terrible prognosis (and few deaths by starvation) it seems that your people are doing fine through the winter despite thinner rations than usual. Sturdy folk, them.
The advisor brings you the Scrolls of Kingdom Status once again.

"More festivals, Your Majesty?"
A) "Meh."
B) "Sure."
