Novice paint.exe skills, there you have it.
If you've got advice on how to clean it up, I'll happily take it.

Novice hints:

1. Never allow automatic resizing, if anything, just cut off borders in MSPaint or something.
2. Never allow automatic file conversion, PNG is a must.
3. Keep background lite so you can use it as 1 transparency color for whole mug.

You compose a letter to the Khan of Huljan, proposing help against the Ramo in return for some explanation on his collaboration with elves. You send a note to King Beren about negotiating with Huljan, but you don't stop him.

882 AD, Autumn

You receive a report that the Kiwi Army (comprised mostly of draftees and mercenaries) have entered the southeastern Ramo Khanate and begun systematic reconquest of settlements and burning of nomad camps.

882 AD, Midsummer

A messenger from Huljan has arrived, no doubt in response to your letter!

But you instead sit in your chambers, reminiscing of the good times with your husband(s). People knock on the door but you cuss them off, telling them to have the Advisor take care of it, he has decades of experience with Houlandine politics by now.

Next day after you finish your crying fit, you learn that Huljani envoy spoke on behalf of his Khan, agreeing to send trusted general to your court who shall tell you things about the elves.

882 AD, Late Summer

The Advisor, the Marshal and the Archpriest, and plethora of your other courtiers, are worried about your wellbeing. You wave them off but decide to show them that you're mentally fit and of good health. And you will do that by...

A) Spending more time with your children, personally teaching them the tricks and basics of Houlandine diplomacy and badassery.
B) Show up more on official banquets and feasts, drinking and laughing honestly along with your loyal courtiers.
C) Simply attending the audiences instead of scurrying away everytime a tear slips onto your brow.

You decide to announce that the Crown is hiring lvl50 adventurers to team up and kill the wild beast.

5*

They manage to approach it during one of its bouts of pain, and after an epic fight they slay the beast! The Army then cuts up the beast and your dear husband's skeleton is recovered, along with Dwarven Necklace of Persuasion, and Sky Iron Knife, both undamaged. The adventurers are rewarded with mountains of wealth and gemstones, for doing their job properly.

You do not allow the Advisor to give you a choice - you demand a splendorous funeral for your beloved second husband, Feodh! It will be the greatest funeral procession of the century, you will personally see to it.

Few days later, you do see to it, at expense of the Treasury's valuables.

882 AD, Summer

Your agents return from the west bringing news; the Ramo is fighting well against the Huljan, but the latter is seemingly acquiring more Elven support as the time goes, up to and including unicorn raiders and elvish foresters, experts at ambushes.

The agents also bring rumors that your vassal, King Beren of Kiwi, is planning to strike the Ramo in the back and retake lands that were originally Kiwi. Your courtiers murmur amongst each other.

As for the nomads and the elves...

A) Do nothing, but let's keep monitoring the situation.
B) Offer Khan of Ramo some help in return for Elvish prisoners and/or bodies.
C) Offer Khan of Huljan some help in return for information on Elves.

As for Beren's invasion preparations...

A) Do nothing, he did say he will try to make Kiwi great again, after all.
B) Tell him to hold up as you won't give him permission to screw up your foreign politickery.

//No split votes, as always.

Few hours later, the court have reached a decision.

882 AD

You are Elana of Tven, and from now on, Queen of Luathbas. Not a regent, a consort, but a full-fledged Queen. The noblemen, always so traditional and conservative, in this bout of emergency decided to shift the laws of succession in the Kingdom.

Maybe it's something you were born with, or maybe the circumstances made you so healthy, at least physically, as you borne many children and you feel you could have more children, if you wanted.

But why have children and marry again? You have lost two husbands and one child, and that makes you so depressed. You wish they never elected you and just left you alone, with your despair and your anguish.

Shortly after the coronation, the Advisor brings you those arcane scrolls, called Scrolls of Kingdom Status, for your perusal.

Half-heartedly, you decide to take a peek.

Happiness: 6
Population: 4
Economy: 4
Army: 5

You guess they look okay.

882 AD, Spring

The next day there's first decision to make: the Hydra is still ravaging the southern countryside, even if it looks and behaves as if a little sick. It sure isn't as ferocious as before, for some reason. You decide to...

A) Send in the Army to kill the beast and avenge your husband!
B) Hire lvl50 adventurers and quest them with Hydra slaying.
C) Do nothing; what can you do against such a beast? Tis death harvest is just a part of life.

You unsheathe your knife and proclaim that you shall kill it! This time you go upon your quest before anyone can tell you to do otherwise.

After a day, you arrive at the field freshly devastated by the Hydra. You do not see it for a while before three of its heads peek over from a hill. With a loud roar from its many heads, the beast climbs the hill it was napping behind and rushes you!

1oh bother

You don't get far before one of the reptilean heads snaps you with its jaw and gobbles you up!

881 AD, Late Winter

The courtiers argue and shout at each other while Queen Elana bawls her eyes out in her chambers.

"Clearly we should ask Romuald to come back and take over the throne again!"

"Romuald is hated by the clergy! What you want to see happen, another rebellion!?"

"Then what do you want to do? Put a woman on a throne maybe? How about we go and ask around which one of Houlandine family members-"

"ORDER!" The advisor slams the iron ball against his desk and sighs. The court, as much as it liked to argue amongst each other, had to find a compromise and agree on the next ruler of Luathbas...

A) Call for Romuald, son of Houlandin III, to come over and take the throne for second time. Clergy can stuff it.
B) Go with usual way of succession and have Ceodwell, son of Feodh, ascend the throne after 7 years of his mother's regency.
C) Change succession laws and put Elana of Tven on the throne of Luathbas as a self-ruling Queen. Her eldest child (currently Ceodwell) will then inherit.

//YAY 300 PAGES!

You sigh and decide to go beastslaying some other day. For now, adventurers will do, so you quickly hire a bunch and send them off to slay the Hydra.

You later hear a grisly tale about the adventurer group getting devoured by the Hydra, each one of them by different head. How sad.

The peasants grumble that the Hydra is still on loose, devastating crops. Your courtiers urge you to act quickly, lest the Hydra's presence bring even more problems upon Luathbas. You decide to...

A) Send the Army to cut off those vile heads and destroy the monster!
B) Do nothing. Maybe the Hydra will go away on its own?
C) Ride forth and slay the beast with your magical knife yourself!!
D) Hire a group of lvl50 or higher adventurers that shall kill the monsters with their high-level skills and enchanted equipment! (this time it's gotta work!)

You hold aloft your sky iron knife.

"I shall battle the Hydra myself!" You announce, and courtiers gathered at your throne room gasp.

"My liege, tis a suicide." Says the advisor. "Your venerable ancestor, Houlandin the First, barely escaped from a Dragon with his life. And your father have slain the shrieking horse only because he was blessed by the Sorceress. Your son is nowhere near the age of rulership. This will be disaster! Please reconsider."

A) "STEP ASIDE, MIGHTY DEEDS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY MYSELF!!
B) "Fiiiiine..." (if you pick this option, also pick option B, C or D from previous list)

You declare that this year will be year of party-time and fun!

Peasants thoroughly enjoyed the festivities, much like the priests enjoyed donations to the temples of the gods and goddesses of farming, harvest, rain and so on.

881 AD, Mid-Autumn

A message have arrived from the Temple of Scriptures.

Ystan the Quillmaster have finished his greatest work: "The Golden Years of Houlandines", a 331-page illuminated book describing the rulership of Houlandine dynasty, from the toppling of Caucach at the dawn of 9th century, to your ascension in 871 AD. The manuscript concentrated mostly on the good side of your family's reign, accenting upon the prosperity, expansion and wealth of the people and the nation likewise.

Future historians, especially after advent of modern archeological studies in 18th century, will look down upon "The Golden Years of Houlandines" as a prime example of Houlandine propaganda that omits most of the bloodshed and instability during the early decades of your family's reign.

But hey, that's 900 years away from now. Enjoy your big tome of boasts!

881 AD, Winter

You get an update on Eisf the peasant foray into the north-eastern wilderness. Apparently his colonists settled down in a small community that makes a living by selling teak and cedar timber to the southlands. Always something, but it won't pay off in a long run. Just another village with resources on the map.

881 AD, Midwinter

"A WHAT!?"

"My liege, tis a hydra! A real hydra!" Explains the messenger. "Them eight heads are spewing poisonous bile upon the farmlands, devouring livestock and hapless peasants in vicinity of the City of Taich in the southeast, near the orcish hills!" The courtiers murmur and some urge Your Majesty to do something. You decide to...

A) Ride forth and slay the beast with your magical knife yourself!!
B) Send the Army to cut off those vile heads and destroy the monster!
C) Hire a group of lvl40 or higher adventurers that shall kill the monsters with their high-level skills and enchanted equipment!
D) Do nothing. Maybe the Hydra will go away on its own?

You send a small part of the Army, mostly scouts and cavalry, to Kingdom of Dahnia to help repel any further elven incursions.

881 AD, Autumn

All is well in Kingdom of Luathbas, especially this autumn! The harvests were more bontiful than before and the peasants speak of a proper festival where part of the goods will be consumed and where the Pantheon deities related to agriculture shall be praised and donated to lavishly.

A) Naw, festivals cost money, and we ain't got money.
B) Party time for all!

10498
Might wanna tell that to the original artists and not me Hasp. :P Only thing I did to the collar was put a little bit of hair over the back of it, and I made sure to darken the area it would have fallen over. Oh, and recolor it. That's it though.

No I mean the cheek is total white with no orange shades where it meets with collar, and das jarring ;v
