You mention that you wish to continue your brother's line, and need a prince for one of his eldest daughters in about eight to ten years from now.

"But of course. I will relay your desires to the Emperor, blessed be his hallowed name, so that he might educate his son on the customs of Luathbas." The envoy departs, and you prepare a letter for Feodh, asking him to be ready for marriage with a pretty Gubta girl.

869 AD, Mid-Spring

You receive a letter of reply from Feodh.

"Dear Brother
In all my conscience I simply cannot devote myself to even think of marrying a girl from outside Luathbas. Political marriage is one thing but I am a man of fourteen winters already and you shall not be dictating whom I wish to marry.
Feodh"

A) Send a letter to Feodh explaining once again the extreme importance of this marriage.
B) Send a letter to the Gubta in which you politely apologize, but there won't be marriage between Feodh and the Gubta princess.
C) Send a letter to Feodh in which you demand he treats you with respect and does what you ask him to do.
D) He is disobeying your orders! TO DUNGEON WITH HIM!

You agree to exchange of marriages; from your side, you have no one really to send other than your younger brother Feodh.

"That shall please the Emperor, blessed be his hallowed name, greatly. May I ask which of his children you desire?"

A) Ask him for a princess which you can marry to have a proper Queen again.
B) Ask him for a prince who can later marry the eldest of your late brother's daughters, Sela.

There I think I fixed v:

10897
Doing some calculation checks:

Altha should have hit the Knife Thrower, as she is within 3 tiles of Alissa and thus gets +10 Hit from Charisma. 123 (Altha Hit) + 5 (Altha Daunt) - 35 (Knife Thrower Evasion) + 10 (Alissa Charisma) = 103, autohit.

Suzanne should have dodged: 101 (Knife Thrower Hit) - 30 (Hill tile) - 35 (Suzanne Evasion) - 15 (Suzanne PS) - 10 (Alissa Charisma) = 11. A roll of 30 misses.

Tell me if I've overlooked anything.

Also, if Jann wants to move somewhere, Suzanne can go to 15-12 and steal Karrak's ring. Otherwise I'm fine with her going to 14-11 and doing the same thing - it's just further forward than might be ideal, I guess.

Imma fix post after work, don't make any actions if you wanna have it fixed btw ;v

You tell him that you will beat Khanate in battle.

He laughs, bows and then leaves.

The Gubta envoy is let in next.

"Great King of Luathbas! My master, Emperor of the Gubtas, blessed be his hallowed name, asked me to find a way to bring our nations together and therefore, wishes to trade princes and princesses in marriage; one of your royal siblings for the youngest son or daughter of the Emperor, blessed be his hallowed name, who are both of age and are quite competent in mathematics."

A) Agree to exchange of marriages.
B) Politely decline the offer.
C) Ask if maybe you can get some War Elephants in exchange for Luathbas gold.

You keep the artifacts with you, and let the Khanate have an audience with you first.

He enters, bearing shaggy brown hair and a quilted armor that menaces with spikes of yellowed bone.

"I am the emissary of Gegis, son of Adila. My master says this: if you wish for the land of Tven to leave in peace, then pay tribute to Khanate with either blood of your soldiers or wealth of your coffers! That is all I have to say."

A) Agree to buy your vassal's safety with Treasury's valuables.
B) Agree to buy your vassal's safety with a military victory against the Khanate.
C) Ask for some sort of compromise.

Yeh I had to find a good update rate for this v:

Now that most options will require full crew input, the updates will be much sparser.

You send an envoy to the Khanate, demanding to parley about the raids into Tven territory.

The same night, as you're going down the stairs of the library's tower of your palace...

*CRUNCH*

869 AD

You are Romuald, son of Houlandin III. Your brother has been assassinated; pushed down the stairs, he broke his neck. The elf that was caught on the scene was interrogated for three weeks. After he kept refusing to exchange info on elves' vendetta for his life, he was drawn and quartered by horses.

You didn't really want or hope to rule, after all, a homosexual does incur the wrath of some more conservative noblemen and even peasants. At least the clergy doesn't, or wouldn't, grumble that much, if not for the divorce that you requested from your late brother Llewyn, which, does put you on the clergy's crosshair moreso than your orientation. And they managed to rile up the peasants. Nothing major, but the dissatisfaction does hang in the air.

If only you were a negotiator of sort, but all that you can say about yourself is that sometimes you're just stupidly lucky.

At least you're wifeless and can devote your time to your love, Lord Asbach, whose lovely red hair and charming smile makes your knees weak from time to time. Upon his suggestion, you decide to be humble and instead of continuing naming tradition of the Houlandines, you remain at your birth name, becoming King Romuald (the First; probably; who knows!).

You start your reign with the meeting with the advisor, who briefs you on the matters of Parsian Civil War (as it is now, no Parsians got to raiding Augas or Luathbas yet) and then he shows you the Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

"Sire, now onto a different matter." He unravels a length of cloth, showing you the fabled Dwarven Necklace of Persuasion and the Sky Iron Knife.

"Whatever shall we do with those artifacts, sire? Some noblemen say we should put them into graves of their respective owners - Houlandin I and III, respectively."

A) Place the Dwarven Necklace of Persuasion in the sarcophagus of Houlandin I, keep the knife.
B) Place the Sky Iron Knife in the tomb of your father, Houlandin III, hold onto the necklace.
C) Deposit both artifacts into the graves of your venerable ancestors.
D) Keep both at your person; in fact, these will be now part of Crown Jewels of Luathbas!

Then a guard arrives.

"My liege; by some coincidence, two envoys have arrived just now. One is from the Khanate, and the other from Gubta Empire. Which should we let into your throne room first?

A) The Gubta.
B) The Khanate.

This is the guy we conquered with the help of one of our cousins and were really swell about letting him stay on as our vassal.

And he married Llewyn's sister during H3's reign and she gave him two kids before dying in childbirth of the second some years ago v;
