You agree to the plan and have money and resources sent to finish the construction project quicker.

868 AD, Winter

Your vassal, Duke of Tven (and widower of your late sister), have written you a letter.

In it, he demands some sort of guidance, or better yet, military help, as recently the Khanate raiders have begun crossing into his territory and raiding the outlying farmhouses and even extorting money from some village elders. As you're his senior, after your father conquered Tven, he turns to you to solve this problem as he has no money nor army strong enough to get rid of the Khanate.

A) Send an envoy to the Khanate requesting parley in this matter.
B) Send part of the Army northwards to protect Tven's borders.
C) Do nothing.
D) Send a letter to your mother-in-law, Sela of Dahnia, asking her to protect Tven.
E) Send some money to Tven so he can pay the Khanate for peace.

You decide to negotiate strongly, aka threaten.

You tell the priests what will happen to their temples and their treasures they so diligently whisked from the royla Treasury for ages in guise of 'sacrifices' if they ever question the Houlandine dynasty and its rulings of law!

The delegates freeze in fear and confusion for a moment, and then scurry outside the throne room. The advisor leans toward you.

This incident, along with others, gained Llewyn the nickname 'The Negotiator' amongst some of the future historians.

"Mayhaps it could be worthy to show a gentler side to the fleeing delegates and at least sponsor the completion of the Grand Temple, my liege?"

A) Fine! Get that big temple done already.
B) No! I said no, so that's a no.

There's no voting :v

Each crewmember must declare whether they board the spacestation or stay on The Intrepid v;

10909
The ship is directed toward one of things that seem to be best choice for airlocks or docking ports. This process goes smoothly, despite lack of help from the silent and abandonded spacestation.

The 'Boarding Party Colonial Regulations' forbid the boarding parties to leave their vehicle unattended. How many will go search the spacestation? Who will be left behind to look after The Intrepid?

Decide and forward your volunteer boarding party applications now!

Once agian you try to go with the diplomatic channels of this issue at hand.

"Is this some kind of a joke?" Ask the leader of the delegation. "Here we are, listing our offer of reconciliation in return to fulfillment of some demands, and you wish to question our generosity!?" Other priests grumble angrily in your general direction.

A) Cave to the demands of the clergy and do what they asked.
B) Embrace excommunication and declare war upon the Cult.
C) Refuse these ridiculous demands and threaten obliteration of the clergy if they ever dare to question your rule.

You prepare a speech on demand to calm the peasants.

Quote

The peasants weep and smooch the cobblestones of the roads, apologizing for even daring to threaten such a lovely and kind ruler as you.

You return to the palace without further incidents. Next day you write the divorce edict and send a copy to the Temple of Oaths, and another to your brother's castle.

868 AD, Autumn

The delegation of the priests of the higher order of gods have arrived at your palace.

After mumbling something about excommunication and place in the sad part of the afterlife for you, they begin to list their demands:

"The Priests of the Pantheon demand that King of Luathbas devotes money to hasten the completion of the new Grand Temple. That he nullifies the divorce edict of his royal brother, Romuald, and signs a letter that never again shall the Crown of Luathbas nullify any oaths made sacred by the Pantheon. That he devotes himself to the year-long penance in the Closed Temple on the Mountain to repent for his sins and lack of piety. That he installs the Priest of God of Laws as one of his advisors in matters of the diplomacy."

"And what if I disagree?" You ask the delegation.

"Then you and your children shall be excommunicated, your marriage with Queen Cylla will be nulled, and that the Cult of Pantheon shall stir up the peasants to remove you from the throne and install your pious brother Feodh as the next King of Luathbas." The lead priest rolls up the scroll given to him by the higher-ups and looks at you.

A) Cave to the demands of the clergy and do what they asked.
B) Refuse these ridiculous demands and threaten obliteration of the clergy if they ever dare to question your rule.
C) Attempt to negotiate, even if the current delegation has no power amongst the higher-ups of the clergy.
D) Embrace excommunication and declare war upon the Cult.

It is some malicious program! The attack on The Intrepid's computers is thwarted by heavy hacking montage done by Tiri Rin!

The commlink is broken, the station runs out of power. What now?

A) Sail to and dock with the station.
B) Let's jump away, before we stumble upon another trap!

10915
Tiri Rin attempts to hack the station's computers!

Quote
5*

The computers have been hacked! They are badly damaged though and the energy core of the station is running low on power, too.

What does Tiri Rin download from the spacestation's computers while there is still time??

A) Unlabeled, yet detailed and large computer program. (?)
B) Navigational charts of the system's unvisited Jumppoints. (+1 to Navigation rolls in this system)
C) Remote control program for a cargo barge docked at the spacestation. (?)

10916
Tiri Rin attempts to clear the static.

Quote

With just a simple modulation to the carrier-wave, she clears the static!

It is now clear that the unknown transmission is some sort of bubbly, repeating code or speech. It might be something of a warning, advertisement or mayhaps a distress call. It's definitely an automatic broadcast, though.

A) Try to decode the language to understand the transmission. (Diplomacy)
B) Attempt to hack the spacestation's computers via the commlink. (Research)
C) Leave the station alone, it's probably abandonded on a purpose!

10917
Twinwolf decides to hail the station.

Quote
5

The hail has gone through! A commlink is established between The Intrepid and the alien spacestation. The return broadcast is some strange mumbling mixed in with static noise.

It is time to...

A) Attempt to talk back with the spacestation. (Diplomacy)
B) Try to clear the disturbance in the transmission. (Repairs)
C) Attempt to 'hack' your way into the spacestation's computers. (Research)

10918
The crew of The Intrepid decided on the destination.

The darkness of the space outside wobbles and the points on the black stretch into infinitely thin lines for a brief moment of space-time, before the Jumpdrive disengages and the reality returns to normalcy.

Jump 1 of 30

The Intrepid is on the outskirts of a star system with a yellow star in its middle!

The onboard scanner detects several rocky planets with no atmosphere and two gas giants. Scan results of the planets will surely entertain the scientists back home.

The more interesting thing is a space station floating in orbit of the second gas giant!

A) Quickly sail toward the spacestation.
B) Attempt to hail the spacestation.
C) Ignore the spacestation and move on.

10919
Info on the options:

Jump choices: 3 outta 5 crewmembers gotta vote.
Event choices: First crewmember to vote 'wins'.
Personal choices: Crewmember in question must decide.

'The Intrepid' with Tactical Sequencer installed, and Cripto, Tiri Rin, Eliza Tenzhen, Twinwolf and Harry Baldman on board set sail!

After departing from the Selene Moonstation, The Intrepid spends the next colonial day thrusting to the edge of the Colonia system, until it is clear from any gravity wells like the system's gas giants.

Then, it engages it's Jumpdrive, the computer locking onto...

A) Stable jumppoint. On-board scanner indicates massive star in the system on the other side.
B) Stable jumppoint. On-board scanner indicates medium-sized star in the system on the other side.
C) Unstable jumppoint. Furthermore, on-board scanner cannot give information on the system on the other side.

//To proceed with Jumps, at least 3 out of 5 crewmembers must vote for the destination.
