You order your guards to keep it calm while the Queen Tomyra is brought up to the throne room.

And thus she enters, surrounded by ten or so of her wariors. She wears black and yellow and white and red furs of some animals you probably never saw. She wears a blackened helmet with oxen horns, and a quilted armor over her breast, her long, shaggy black hair only enhancing her image of a warrior rather than a queen.

She is also a head taller and shoulder wider than you.

"So, Llewyn, King of Luathbas!" She says, placing her hands on her waist. "You said to come for the tribute, so here I am. Bring me your valuables, or suffer my wrath!"

A) Bring her the valuables from Treasury.
B) Refuse to bow to her demands.
C) Attempt to negotiate... something.

After a thorough debate with your inner self, you decide to not call up the mobilization.

868 AD, Spring

An exhausted messenger arrives at your court.

"My liege, one of the governors reports that a thousand or more horsemen, led by a woman clad in horned helmet and furs of exotic beasts is riding towards the capital!"

Another messenger arrives few hours later.

"My liege! Lord Keil, governor of the city of Raenna just few days west of here, wishes to report that Queen Tomyra herself with a large entourage of horsemen is approaching the capital and have been given fifty Luathbas horsemen as guides.

868 AD, Next Morning

Reports continued to pour in thorough the night and by the morning, Queen Tomyra is at the gates to your Palace! Her thousand plus some horsemen have all set camp near the palace and are tending to their horses, not obstructing anyone coming to or from the palace.

Her male slave arrives to bring you a message - he kneels on his both knees and smooches the floor of your throne room.

"O, King of Luathbas! My mistress wishes to see you, as you have invited her to your castle, and thus she has come." The advisors and captain of the guard quickly convene on the side.

As for Queen Tomyra...

A) Let her into the throne room.
B) Go down to her.
C) Refuse her entry.

As for your guard detail...

A) Tell them to return to their stations, keep calm and be polite.
B) Amass as many as possible in the rooms adjacent to your throne room.

You have a point this could become a hassle.
That's why if I ever see that it become's too much of a hassle or more importantly, affects the quality of my posts then I will end the thread on SV forum and continue it on bay12.

Your line of thinking appeases us.

Continue v;

Yeah, let's practice hand/leg waving to determine how dexterous we are.

Otherwise we will be doing that during combat and that might turn out bad.

You tell the envoy to go back home as there will be no tribute. You hoped to kick him into the dungeon but your advisors said it would be unwise.

867, End of the Year

The advisor brings you the Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

"Sire, I have to report that for few days now, Luathbas people dwelling in extreme west of our country either sighted or were accosted by occassional Khanate horseman. There were no deaths or instances of house raiding, however. The Marshal heard of this and asked me to query you about possible emergency mobilization for next six months."

A) Yeh, let's, another war's about to begin.
B) Nay, I'm sure we can solve this without war.

Why are these the only two options? What about reminding her of our deal with her father and asking where that went. Got damn.

Yeh, her father and her brothers signed the deal.

She didn't :P

You order part of the Army to strengthen Augas and camp around the valley leading into northern Parsia just in case.

867 AD, Winter

An envoy from Tomyra, Queen of Khanate, have arrived at your court.

"Greetings, King of Luathbas, land of prosperity and gold! She Who Makes The Earth Tremble, Queen Tomyra, knows well how much your people prefer peace over war and therefore is willing to keep her eyes away from the borders of your kingdom in exchange for a large gift of money and valuables. Consider this well, eastern king!"

A) Tribute is a sign of weakness... but tribute is better than getting stomped by horsemen hordes - the Queen shall have her valuables.
B) Throw him into the dungeon and send a letter to Queen Tomyra in which you invite her to take Luathbas gold by herself, if she dares.

Gotta agree with MZ on this one.

You agree to the counter-offer and after few days, Parsians and Luathbasians depart toward their respective capitals.

Congratulations! Llewyn completed yet another military campaign!

The campaign glory finally reached you as well. Despite only moderate gains, people begin to call you 'The Conqueror' anyways.

867 AD, Mid-Autumn

After your return, you console your wife briefly and then hear reports of Kiwis' ultimate demise; the Khanate, after securing a deal with the Damdamian Republic, squashed all opposition in the west, and now only Duchy of Koi remains of the original Kiwi state - a puppet in hands of Khanate anyways.

And by the way, the Khanate now has a new leader - Tomyra, daughter of Adila, have successfully slain her father in a duel of honour and inherited the throne.

867 AD, Late Autumn

Governor of Augas brings news both good and bad - good are that Parsians kept their promise and a tribute of gold and silver arrived in the province.

Bad is that Parsians are suffering a civil war; one of the Princes that didn't partake in the previous civil war, managed to rouse some Parsian armies and is currently occupying northwestern parts of Parsia, including some prosperous farming settlements and the gold mines of Parsia.

"Clearly the Parsian savages are trying to launch a surprise attack." Says one commander.

"Is it our problem, actually? It's civil war." Says another.

"It could be if the rebel prince decides to pick on Augas - he could march through the valley, of example..." You decide to...

A) Send part of Army to camp in Augas and at the entrance into Parsian northern valley, as precaution.
B) Do nothing but only watch how this situation develops for now.
C) Embark on another campaign to conquer more of Parsia in this chaos!
