The emissary frowns.

"Then you shall pay for Prince Suhar's forgiveness with money?" He asks cautiously.

A) Heck no! Now scram.
B) Eh sure, we got plenty.

You order the guards to have him searched and let in if he does not carry any hidden things.

A while later the somewhat confused emissary enters the throne room.

"My master, Prince Suhar, have been busy last year but finally found time to dispatch me. He is willing to forget about your dealings with Oshfak if you help our soldiers set an ambush. All you have to do is to invite Prince Oshfak for secret negotiations in the borderlands of Augas."

A) Naw, we ain't sneaky like dis.
B) Splendid, let's write a letter to Oshfak immediately.
C) Sure! But this is high-risk thing, surely Suhar should reward us with money.

You decide to host a knightly tournament and a date is set for summer.

854 AD, Spring

The emissary from Prince Suhar is waiting at the gates.

A) Have him searched for concealed weapons, then let him in.
B) Kill him! Or, if guards aren't feeling bloodthirsty today, throw him into dungeon.
C) Let him in.

You write a letter in which you tentatively agree, and to the confused courtiers you explain that you won't be doing any such thing. One wonders out loud if pissing off the Republic is a good idea but they will follow your ruling.

853 AD, Midwinter

The emissary of Prince Suhar returns and asks for a private audience to debate about your counter-proposal.

You grant him it and take him to a small room... but you don't get to ask him about the whole affair when he suddenly pulls out a curved knife and rushes at you!!

Unfortunately for him you're too well trained in combat to just get stabbed and die like that. You evade his strikes and manage to call for guards. Then you manage to get into wrestling situation: first you bring him to the floor, then snap his arm against his back so hard you can hear the crunch, and then after he screams in pain and releases the knife you grab it and stab at the man, just as the guards burst into the room.

You did too well however, and actually managed to hit right into his heart. Sometimes being trained to kill is a detriment, it seems.

Then you notice the Parsian's face - that's not the guy who came to ask you for audience!

You have no real knowledge who sent him, or why...

The manager of the prosperous gold mines have sent a very large caravan of gold this year! Apparently the miners struck a vein of ore of size and depth not seen before!

The censuses of this year are also done, and all regions and cities note increase of population, aw yeah!

853 AD, End of the Year

The advisor comes to visit you in your bedroom.

"Unfortunately no suspicious Parsians were found and there were no leads after questioning the few merchants and travelers from that land that were found passing by the palace recently." He then sets down the Scrolls of Kingdom Status on your night table.

Happiness: 4
Population: 6
Economy: 8
Army: 4

"My liege! I am proud to announce that the Economy of Luathbas have reached the level of prosperity not seen since the rule of Leth the Miner! We could spend a little of our wealth and we would still be sleeping on riches, sire!"

A) Host some lavish festivals for the tired and somewhat unhappy peasants.
B) Build a large monument that will reflect your prosperous rule.
C) Publicly donate to the Grand Temple of Pantheon to show off your piety.
D) Offer large sums of money for mercenaries that join your Army.
E) Have the Palace renovated, beautified, strengthened and enlarged.
F) Announce a combat tournament where brave and strong can compete for prizes.
G) "Naaaaaah!" Run off to Treasury and take a swim in your big sea of riches.

@Team Amazon:

They've arrived at the staff shop after a brief trek.

"Ah, greetings! How nice to see two noble ladies with their servants every once in a while. Please, please, I have all the grandiose staves you need. Large investments in my wares will surely pay off in the long run!"

He then showed his wares.

You offer him to, instead of paying, help his Prince get rid of Oshfak. He squints eyes at you.

"I cannot agree on my own. I will consult with Prince Suhar first." And then he leaves your court in haste.

853 AD, Winter

Hammus Maximus, Governor of Damdamian Province of Lametania, have written you a letter!

In the letter he offers to return your grandfather's enchanted necklace if you agree to do the Republic a little favor - namely, he wants you to raid the borders of Kiwi Empire at least once in the next two years.

A) No.
B) Agree.
C) Agree, and then don't do it (for lulz and evulz).

The blacksmith didn't comment and simply answered:

"Two hundred fifty."

"By all means, feel free, boy."

You demand that priests purify the tower.

They arrive, seven of them, one per God related to death, afterlife and such, and begin their spiritual work. After few hours they return to you.

"Oh good king, the tower in question truly is possessed by a ghost of terribly angry yet terribly sad woman! She clings onto the stones of the tower and does not wish to pass on so easily, surely a victim of very foul murder or mayhaps anguished soul who died of suicide. We will require lavish sacrifices to please the gods so that they lend their powers to help us drive her into the afterlife." You agree to that and have coffers of gold sent to the temples.

After few days, the priests deem the tower clean, and workers return to work - indeed they do not feel uneasy anymore. Problem solved!

853 AD, Autumn

After long pregnancy, your wife gives birth! Alas, the healers sadly proclaim that the girl was born dead.

Such a bad luck.

853 AD, Mid-Autumn

A Parsian emissary, in employ of Prince Suhar, arrives at your court! They have found Luathbas coins in the purses of slain and captured soldiers of Prince Oshfak.

He demands that you pay Prince Suhar the same amounts of materiel and gold, otherwise if he ascends to the power he shall deal with you swiftly and messily!

A) We ain't gonna tribute every Prince they have! Reject his demand.
B) You shall send Suhar equal amount of money and materiel.
C) Offer to help get Prince Oshfak into an ambush or something, just so you don't have to pay but remain at good terms with Prince Suhar.

Cecil found 3 shoppes of heroic swordes; Reich Weapon Manufacture, Cavalier's Armory, and local blacksmith Pathrunax who had the cheapest ones.
