You order both a draft and mercenaries.

848 AD, Spring

Your wife gives birth! Your third son is named 'Llewyn' by her.

848 AD, Summer

While fixing some old framework in the basements of your palace, the craftsmen found a hidden stash! There were boxes of clothes and some copper jewellry, and also a large green gemstone. Copper wasn't used for royal jewellery for over five centuries, and the palatial priest determined that the stash wasn't cursed or anything like that.

This treasure stash must've been hidden by some king from 3rd century or so, and then promptly forgotten by everyone.

The Master of Treasury asks you if you have anything on mind about the gemstone.

A) Just add it to our treasury.
B) Commission a craftsmaster to fashion it into a trinket for your beloved wife.
C) Send for dwarves to enchant it into an artifact, as gemstomes (the larger, the better) are best conduits for magic - at least, that's what the folk tales say.

Looks like he tried to move to a place he can't reach and got shunted to the closest square he could.

My usual modus operandi in such situations, yes v|

No door left

There was a lone woman in red garb, a metal bucket with tiny fire burning on its bottom, and a small wooden box in the corner of the room.

"Oh... At least I got rid of the papers." Siegfried and Gregory found her voice strangely familiar. "And if I get rid of you noisy investigators, so much for the better!"

Still better than trying to stand on Irios, if this was crossover game :P

Can you play as Papacy (either Rome or Avignon) in CK2? Up until 20th century they did have temporal powers and land holdings also.

You tell them that your son is to be included in the succession line for throne of Kiwi.

The delegates bow and leave one by one.

847 AD, Midwinter

The taxes from Augas arrive on schedule.

847 AD, End of the Year

Once again you are allowed to peruse Scrolls of Kingdom Status, updated and at proper time of the year.

Happiness: 4
Population: 3
Economy: 5
Army: 2

Once you're done, the advisor mentions the obvious.

"Sire, the Army is still in shambles despite recruitment of mercenaries. Mayhaps we draft peasants into the Army this year? The festivals, and the end of the Plague did calm the populace down, and whilst balancing on mediocrity shouldn't please anybody, we can do that."

A) Yes, draft it is!
B) Draft and mercenaries!
C) Nay, we can postpone this for a year.

//Woo! 100 pages! Das an achievement for a suggestion game, yay!

You ask them if Arran can wear both crowns at once.

"Nay, sire. He can be King of Luathbas if you want, but once the throne of Kiwi is vacant, the next person in line is expected to shed away all previous titles and holdings if they wish to become Emperor of Kiwis. That is our law. Therefore I ask again; do you wish for your son Arran to be included in the line for throne of Kiwi, or nay?"

A) Nay!
B) Aye.

You tell them of meeting her under the stars, the marriage, the birth of your son and her death of the birth's complications. The visitors murmur between each other.

"Then, by the succession rights, your son Arran is legible to be entered into the succession line for the throne of Kiwi Empire." The delegates agree.

"The plague that struck our land have killed off the mad King, his wife, his three sons and many other. We're searching for those relatives that were driven off by fear for their lives. We are searching for others, and there is no guarantee that your son might inherit the Empire at all. Still, as his guardian, at least, I assume you are, tell us good king - will you allow Arran to vie for the throne of Kiwi? If not, we will depart and tell no word of his existence, so that he might be spared from attention of the more unscrupulous of his relatives." You offer them a meal while you and your courtiers decide on the matter. After the debate, you announce that...

A) Arran shall remain as heir to throne of Luathbas.
B) Ask them if their law allows for dual monarchy; that's it, is Aaran eligible to run both Kiwi and Luathbas lands.
C) Arran is to be included into succession line for throne of Kiwi.

You agree with them and order that no Kiwis are allowed to settle down in Luathbas.

847 AD, Winter

The plague seems to have finally disappeared from Luathbas.

Few days into Winter, a delegation comes from the west - it is a small group of men. They have no markings albeit they do wear dark green of Kiwi on the inside of their cloaks.

"Noble King of this kingdom," their eader bows sightly. "We are looking for one lady of noble birth, named Serinda. Or Merinda, or perhaps any slightly different name as she was travelling under threat and therefore surely took on different name than the one given to her by her parents. We heard that she might've passed through your Kingdom; have you heard of her?"

A) Deny any knowledge of her.
B) Tell them the truth.
C) Refuse to say anything unless they explain themselves with more details.

You write a reply in which you reject the offer citing fears of spreading the plague amongst the soldiers.

847 AD, Late Summer

The reports on new victims of the Plague are nowadays scarce, even in the south. People begin to quietly celebrate the passing of the disasterous disease.

847 AD, Autumn

Governors from the west send a report; new wave of Kiwi migrants is arriving from the west. The governors do not want to let them settle in Luathbas, citing concerns over the plague.

A) Agree with them and disallow Kiwis to enter Luathbas.
B) Call them paranoid and order them to let the poor refugees settle in the west.
C) Agree with them and forcibly ensure that no Kiwi will settle in Luathbas, even if that means using soldiers!
