"War. Will you surrender?"

"No. If you want to win this war in way other than marrying my daughter, then you will have to do it with blood and death of many of your subjects." She brushes her hair.

"Now let's speak about family. Will you marry Sela?"

A) "I do not marry children of traitors!"
B) "Fine, I will marry her, if you promise to surrender."
C) "No, but she can marry Adagrast if strengthening family bonds is what you really want most."

You tell him that if your Aunt wants to meet, she needs to come to you. The man stares you for a moment, thinking.

"That is not for me to decide. In a few hours you will have your answer to that question." Then he turns his horse and his group speds off to the castle.

Actually the answer comes in less than an hour by the way of Lady Eiri, followed by a large group of armed horsemen, sailing forth to meet with you. She does not dismount from her horse, instead opting to look at you form above.

"So, my little nephew, for once, isn't listening to the whispers of the elven witch and is willing to listen to reason instead. Charming. Pity that it had to take a war to separate the two of you! Look at you, all wounded, no wife and no heir waiting at home, easily rejecting your own family, and then warring with your Aunt. What would be next, little Houlandin? Were you preparing to invite our enemies the Lametanians and their false god into Luathbas, perhaps?" Only after this little speech does Lady Eiri dismount and, lifting the hem of her dress, moves up to you. You can see her wrinkles quite well.

Enemy or not, you show some courtesy and take her to your tent, where twenty guards - ten each - glare at each other while you two are sitting down.

"What we shall talk first? War? Or the marriage to my daughter, because I and she are still hoping."

A) "War."
B) "Family."

You ask the message bearer how you can trust him.

"Because we're not traitors! We are just people willing to go against the flag to save you from the corrupt influence of your non-human mother that continuously tries to stray you from the path of your forefathers! I swear on my own honor that you will be taken to the site of negotiations, where not a hair will fall from your head, and then we will deliver you right back here." You have to be satisfied with this declaration. Still, the question needs to be answered...

A) "I am the King and only authority in this Kingdom! Ask her to surrender, then we can talk!"
B) "We will negotiate at the place of her choice to show my goodwill. Lead us there!"
C) "If she wants to negotiate, she must come to me, not the other way!"

You order the horsemen to run and harass the enemy.

As you approach the fortified city of Airach, a small group of horsemen is noted to approach from its direction, comprised of ten riders and one of them bearing the flag of Lady Eiri.

You order your men to allow them to approach. Once the messengers arrive, the man with the banner moves his horse forward.

"Your Aunt, Lady Eiri, wishes to speak with you, Sire, about this whole matter of succession, and about the matters of family and kin! Are you willing to follow us to a location between here and her city that she has choosen as negotiation grounds?"

A) "I am the King and only authority in this Kingdom! Ask her to surrender, then we can talk!"
B) "We will negotiate at the place of her choice to show my goodwill. Lead us there!"
C) "If she wants to negotiate, she must come to me, not the other way!"
D) "How can I trust you?"

You order your officers to prepare for march out.

Three days later, less than a day of marching from Airach, your scouts bring news that there is a small mixed force of your Aunt's soldiers heading toward Neisyne and doing a long detour by northwest to avoid your forces. During a council with your commanders, you order them to...

A) Send your horsemen to harass and raid the marching rebels, but not directly attack them.
B) Send a larger part of your soldiers to face the rebels in a field battle.
C) Send but a mere warning to the garrison of Neisyne and inform them that you cannot devote troops to their defense this time.

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGE!!

And then you feel uneasy.

Quote

You manage to evade the impalement and then strike the knight in the head with your sword, and he falls off his horse!

Your guards then return to your side and the battle continues.

Quote

After the initial uncertainty your forces manage to double their efforts and crush the rebels! Then you return to the siege of the city of Achton.

842 AD, Autumn

As the weeks pass, the healers continue to check on your wound and it is doing alright.

Your Aunt didn't send any other forces against you or other parts of the kingdom. Courtiers and commanders alike speculate if either she is low on manpower or is gathering troops for a major offensive.

Your beloved mother sent you a letter. The other parts of Kingdoms are doing alright and the only thing of worry were few incidents with followers of Damed at the southern border settlements (namely: two inn brawls, mugging of a Hurthling traveler and attempted vandalism against the temple of the Pantheon).

The city of Achton continues to resist, despite several attempts by your forces to breach the walls. However, by now, the city must be weak.

A) Prepare for a major assault intended to capture the city.
B) Leave a small force to continue the siege, and march toward the heart of Lady Eiri's territory.

You order your officers to split your forces and find you a horse! The healers plead but you shall have none of it while your kingdom is suffering from a split!

In few hours' time your men attack the approaching force and a big melee ensues.

Alas, the battle progresses poorly!

Then a bold knight rides forth pointing his lance at you! You do not recognize his crest, and you assume he must be a nobleman from one of those numerous yet small kingdoms in the north that were bought/coerced/convinced by Lady Eiri to back her cause.

A) CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGE!!
B) Run away! Run awaaaay!

You order the teams to be deployed to investigate, sterilize and plunder the wreck!

Not much is found, sadly; most of the equipment was broken down and only the duranium hull has been recycled and/or sold for scrap.

While you're having your afternoon tea, Sirtana beeps.

"Empress, there is a message from the Department of Starfleet Research and Development. They are asking for the Throne to sponsor the research into Instantenous Matter Transporation technology, a project first started by the 67th ruler of the Empire. The researchers however have went over budget once during your predecessor's rule and are now facing the same financial trouble with no apparent breakthroughs yet."

A) Tell them to cancel this project as you won't be funding it.
B) Reassure them that such a marvelous technology warrants funding, and they shall have it.

You order them to surround the city and wait till you feel better.

Three days pass and the healers say the wound is doing alright, they just hope you will keep resting instead of causing it to bleed or fully re-open.

By the next morning, the siege continues, albeit scouts report that a rather moderately-sized force of mixed troops is coming from Airach. The commanders meet with you, to ask what to do and if you will lead them.

As for the choice of strategy...

A) Prepare the defenses to repel the attack.
B) Split the forces and send half to meet with the rebels.
C) Leave only small forces around Achton and the rest shall go fight.

As for your participation...

A) You will stay and rest in the tent, trusting the abilities of your officers.
B) You shall call for a horse and armor so that you can lead your men again!

Plunder it for the Empire is currently listed as B while being in the 3rd slot. Is that intentional?

/.<'\

People should bold such stuff or something especially with how fast posts come in such game.

Imma just fix the order instead of redoing the choices so the previous votes stay alright.
