More work this month comes in a way of report from the governor of a populous planet Blazit-420. Apparently there is an outbreak of highly virulent plague on that world! The governor is asking the Empress to do something!

A) Have the Starfleet quarantine the world.
B) Have the Starfleet quarantine the world, then buy extra medical supplies and automated medbots to help with the plague.
C) Buy extra medical supplies and automated medbots to help with the plague.
D) Express your sincere regret about the fact that the Empire cannot help its subjects this time.

You order Sirtana to start up the recording programme. Then you make a long-winded speech in which you ask your subjects to return to your fold, promising nothing more but prosecution of the very few of dissidents.

Quote

The governor reports that the speech moved the populace which dispersed back into their homes, and the most stubborn dissidents were arrested. Woo, crisis averted!

777.031 SE

Sirtana beeps as she logs a message.

"Empress, you have a marriage proposal from Governor of planet New Jerusalem. He is offering to send his eldest son, Yoachim, as your new husband, to ensure survival of your noble lineage."

A) Accept the proposal.
B) Reject the proposal.

Science Empress it is :V

776.365 SE*

You are Gloranthia, a former head of University of Galatronia, and thus a scientist at heart, and you just helped overthrow the last Emperor, a cruel tyrant of the Galactic Empire of Aimsightai!

Once seated behind your new ebony-and-latinium desk, a little blue holographic AI pops up.

"Good morning, Empress Gloranthia, 69th leader of the Galactic Empire. My name is Sirtana and I am your Advisor AI. Let me start with the Table of Imperial Ratings." A holographic table appears above her.

Quote
1,0,0,0

Loyalty: 6*
Population: 4
Finances: 4
Starfleet: 4

Sirtana then spends next 30 standard minutes explaining to you the impact of numerous Imperial affairs on those, with mandatory pauses every two minutes to remind you that you can always access her 'Help' subroutine. Oh well, let's move on!

777.031 SE

Sirtana appears with a beep.

"Urgent report from Ministry of Imperial Security, Empress. There is an uprising on planet Watahhere, main reason being low quality of fast foods. Local police force is unable to maintain order. Governor Kirk asks for Imperial support."

A) Prepare a holographic speech in which you urge your colonial subjects to calm down.
B) Send in the Starfleet to supplement the local police forces on Watahhere.
C) Tell the Governor that he is to find a solution on his own if he wants to keep his job!

You order peasant draft to replenish the numbers of the Army that is then to fight the orcs once more.

This time they fought well, and despite some casualties, they have slain most of the orcs while the rest fled.

835 AD, Summer

Your wife is already asleep when you finally join her in the bed after long day at the office. You close your eyes only to notice sudden breeze coming from the window. You turn around and notice a silhouette with a dagger - it's an assassin!

Quote
1tbh this roll screws up things for everybody I:

But before you can do anything, the man plunges his blade into your throat. You gargle and gasp and choke on your blood, your arms flailing. The last thing you hear is the scream of your wife who awoken; the last thing you see is the assassin running toward the window.

The spark of life leaves your body very, very quickly.

835 AD, Midsummer

"...Kiwis!? Are you mad? Obviously it is Queen Alexandra behind that, who but her is our greatest enemy!?"

"Maybe she even worked in unison with that elven-"

"ORDER!" The advisor slams the iron ball against the desk and then sighs.

"For gods' sake, can't you people stick to the topic?? We have a succession crisis to deal with here." One of the more progressive and Lametanian-tainted nobles stood up.

"I do not see why we're even hosting this council? Of Houlandin's children, Lady Eiri is still alive and has married a Count from the north of our Kingdom, who sadly passed away this spring. But she has a three-years old son. Pass the throne to her-"

"To a woman?? There never was a self-ruling Queen on the throne of Luathbas! That's against the tradition! And the laws!"

"Excuse me!" Shouts Queen Mother Ciri, seated near the advisor. "I was on the throne of Luathbas for almost five years till my son reached the age of man. Even if you reject me, then let me remind you, Benelisse is with child, so we just wait till she gives birth to a son, then-"

"Then what?" Angrily asks one of elder noblemen. "Another fifteen years regency of a woman? And we don't even know if the child is a boy, for the love of..."

"We should've kept Lady Aolineniya here under lock and key so that just in such scenario we could put her sons on the throne, regency or not." Says one other, other grumble, some add to it:

"Yes! Invite her and her children back! Send forth envoys with invitation!-" One of more stubborn nobles counters with:

"That could take ages, but if we were to-" Suddenly one of younger nobles stood up.

"No! She left the Kingdom and therefore forfeited her children's rights! Besides, I'm telling you, it's her who had Lech assasinated in the first place!" Then it got worse...

"That's is not the topic, you idiot! Stop bringing up rumors and conjecture here!"
"Change the law, it's the fastest way! Then we have a proper Queen on throne and can deal with our enemies near and far!"
"Over my dead body! Women are unfit to rule our Kingdom! That is truth!!"
"How dare you belittle me like that! You yourself are unfit to rule your own house!!"

"ORDER!" Slam, slam, slam.

The Council, however, had to reach a decision...

A) Change the traditional hereditary laws and install Lady Eiri, daughter of Houlandin, on the throne of Luathbas as Queen with full rights. Her children will then inherit.
B) Change the traditional hereditary laws and install Lady Benelisse, wife of Lech, on the throne of Luathbas as Queen with full rights. Her children will then inherit.
C) Change the traditional hereditary laws and install Idorina, daughter of Lech, on the throne of Luathbas, and establish regency of Queen Mother Benelisse (amongst others), till the girl reaches the age of fifteen.
D) Send envoys westwards, in an attempt to find and invite Aolineniya, and her children, back to Luathbas.
E) Postpone the matter of succession until the child of Lady Benelisse of Lametania, wife of late King Lech, is born and thus its gender revealed.

You order the army to go and wreck the raiding orcs.

It is your army that is wrecked.

835 AD, Mid-Spring

Reports indicate that the orcs, emboldened by the victory against Luathbas few weeks ago, are now pushing into the kingdom with more than small raiding groups. The couriters advise you that this cannot be ignored anymore.

A) Send in the army, boosted by peasant draftees!
B) Send in the army, boosted by hired mercenaries!
C) Tribute the warchief and ask him to recall his brutes.

Their warbands are raiding the southeast of the country, looking for loot and slaves for their mines. Your courtiers urge you to do something about this.

A) Send in the army to bash some orc heads in!

You write a letter in which you ask the two conflicted groups to find a better way to communicate.

They manage to fix the situation for now.

834 AD, Mid-Autumn

A strange guest from the west have arrived! The man, in a frilly cloak and a feathered hat, bowed before you and your courtiers, announcing himself as Stjolf the Extraordinaire, a poet, bard and musician who nonetheless had to flee the Kiwi Empire as his baudy songs apparently 'implied that Emperor's daughter is a girl of loose morals', something that the bard says was not his intention at all.

He is asking if maybe your court could find a place for a humble singer like him.

A) Hire him for the court, a famous musician can go long ways as entertainer, emissary and so on.
B) Hire him to perform a number of songs around the kingdom, mayhaps the populace will mellow out a bit.
C) Dismiss him and let him settle somewhere in the Kingdom if he chooses to.
