You decide to split your forces; half will remain at Abur, the rest will ride forth to harass the sides and rear of the advancing Parsian horde to the best of their ability, and if they can try and relieve the sieges of the minor outposts, so much the better.
You receive reports that your raiding parties were extremely effective; one for example managed to set fire to their supply of timber, destroying most of it. Others caused approximately a thousand of casaulties against the rear guard, Parsian scouts and some heavy damage to the supply wagons during 'Battle of Gokart'.
There are also reports of attempted relieving of the sieges, alas, you will have to read these reports later - the golden banner of Parsian Kings flutters in the hills east of Abur!
The siege begins!
The initial attack against Abur fails and the Parsian army loses hundreds if not thousands soldiers who ineffectively try to scale the walls with mere ladders and only two siege towers (which get set on fire by your archers anyways), accompanied by seldom-firing catapults.
The Fortress however soon suffers from problems as the Parsians successfully poisoned the underground stream that provides fresh water to the fort. Your men have to rely on thinned alcohol, and You know how that goes in the long run.
The Marshal believes that, while Parsians are dragging the timber from the east, this is a prime opportunity to strike at the besieging forces! After brief consideration, you...
A) Agree, and have Luathbas cavalry storm the main encampment of the Parsia.
B) Agree, and have Luathbas forces break through western - the weakest - part of Parsians encirclement.
C) Thank the Marshal for his proposal, but reject it, and say that for now, it's better to wait and see how the situation develops.
