It wasn't even an hour.

It was half an hour before Nathal came out of his office, holding the mirror. It had the surface made of dark blue crystal, but otherwise looked like new.

"Here it is! I did not possess the black crystal the surface was made off, but I replaced it with more durable mineral."

"Thank you!" Rosana did a royal curtsy while Aliberti looked the mirror over.

"Well it looks good. Everyone ready?"

"Please wait a moment." Prince Aliberti looked at Nathal.

"Yes?"

"Would you consider a little request?"

"Hmm?"

"Would you allow Akk to accompany you to your world?"

"What!?"

"From what I understand, you come from a world that's faring better than... ours. I would like to, hmm, establish some kind of negotiations... so we could obtain food and other things absent from our caves for centuries, now."

"But we're not sure if this could even work, mister! From what I heard from Grand Alchemist when Aliberti was absent, our magic transports us only to the next shard or something..." Aliberti squinted his eyes at Rosana. Now he knew who couldn't keep a secret in the court. Artificer Nathal patted his beard.

"If anything, repairing your mirror is not the only reason I replaced the crystal parts. Mayhaps it will allow us to establish some means to move between our worlds at will." Aliberti looked at the mirror, not entirely convinced.

"So, what do you say?"

"Well..."

I think I should lower their defense a bit. Coupled with how much 'hitpoints' they have (6; for comparison, Battleships and Carriers have only 4), they're super tough to damage, not to mention, kill v;

And yes nukes wipe them out easily but it's hard to nuke them when they're protected by their cities' SDI (or they're waltzing between my cities, I'm not that desperate to nuke my own people :P)

After 'modding' Civilization 2 (almost everything is laid out in .txt files, it's so easy!), adding things like horse archers, spy balloons and of course deathbots a la Civ5, I've begun a long game as Vikings.

Six hours later I was alone with Persians (super big, moderately advanced, rather docile after they ran out of neighbours to conquer) and Aztecs (minor power on the remote western continent), I decided to prepare my spies and nuclear missiles and hordes of armor and howitzers.

1959 AD: Persians develop The Laser!

There goes my nuking ability. By 1965 AD they had even the smallest of towns equipped with SDI (I swear Persians were sleeping on money in that game).

So I went for normal conquest and just flooded their lands with aforementioned howitzers and tanks... it went OK for about fifteen turns, I conquered several cities, caused much havoc.

Then I got the prompt 'Persians develop Fusion Power!' and few turns later I was reminded what I did mod in for the last tech in the tree.

Deathbots. Deathbots everywhere. Deathbots singlehandedly crushing my swarms of tanks. Deathbots retaking conquered cities in 2 turns. Deathbots shrugging off my entire stockpile of cruise missiles (about 90 missiles, but I did kill 6 deathbots out of maybe 25 they had at that point).

Deathbots being transported to my home continent.

Deathbots stomping my cities.

I think I made them a bit too OP.

Becayse bay12 people cannot get the big picture done, how about we doodle with the field 1/4 size instead? :P
I yanked rules (with tiny edits) from Mageziya's old thread for this purpose:

How It Works
You call dibs on making an edit. Obviously if some has called dibs before you then you can't make an edit until they're done.
It is required to make a dibs post before you start editing the image.
Upon calling dibs you have 30 minutes to make an edit.
The time rule is to mainly deal with people who disappear after claiming dibs.
If you are still trying to edit when time is up, let us know. We can wait a bit.
You can edit one square at a time.
The one pixel thick border around the square you edit is also considered part of the square and can be edited.
You can edit any square on the image, regardless of where the previous edit was. Try not to edit other peoples' squares unless they're OK with that.
Try not to mess up the quality when saving (use .png format).
When you're done, edit your post claiming dibs with the new image.
There is nothing wrong with going back and editing your one of your previous edits when you claim dibs. Just mention it when you post the image to prevent confusion.
Have fun! Though, maybe not !!FUN!!

All in all this should be pretty interesting. Don't be afraid to remove your square's border or meld with other edits. You can work with people or work alone to slowly create multi-square pixel-y masterpieces.
