Sounds of knocked furniture and rummaging about came from behind the door, before the door was opened and a young woman, with her brown hair in state of complete discord, appeared.

"Oh, yes, I took a nap, am I late? No? Thanks for waking me up." She then placed a kiss on Noel's forehead and marched out of her house, ready to fulfill her duties to the village.

The door opened with a creak.

It was once a treasure room. Lined with copper statues, bookshelves full of precious manuscripts, and marvelous coats and robes hanging off mannequins and hooks.

Now the statues were green from patina, bookshelves hosted piles of dust and leathery flakes, and strings of thread and dusty cloth hanged from the half-rotten mannequins.

Fortunately, the two chests, at 8.15 and 10.15 were still in a good shape. Hopefully the things inside them were fine as well.
