TURN 8 - CITY-STATE 2

Quote from: North Egyptian attack against South Egypt
North Nubia rolls: 4+2, 5+2, 4+2 = 19
Western Nubia rolls: 4, 4, 1 = 9
Difference: +10, territory captured!

The war between South and North Egypt has come to an end, and the Northern Egyptians are victorious! The rulers of Southern Egypt are deposed, their cities plundered and peoples enslaved, and now the banner of North Egypt flutters in the South.

TURN 8 - CITY-STATE 2

Quote from: North Nubian attack against Western Nubia
North Nubia rolls: 1, 6, 6
Western Nubia rolls: 3, 3, 3
Difference: +4, random resource is removed: 2, Sheep

Soldiers of Northern Nubia raided the Western Nubian tribe, killing and stealing their flocks of sheep in large numbers.

Quote from: Construction Progress
North Egypt Temple: +5 Culture (Limestone x1, Sandstone x1) and +7 Wealth (Flax x2, Fruit Trees x1, Silver x1)
= 5/15 Culture, 7/15 Wealth
Southeastern Mesopotamia Palace: +2 Culture (Sandstone x1) and +5 Wealth (Cattle x1, Fruit Trees x1, Gold x1)
= 2/10 Culture, 5/20 Wealth
Southern Nubia Temple: +4 Culture (Emeralds x1, Sandstone x1) and +6 Wealth (Cattle x2, Emeralds x1)
= 4/15 Cultute, 6/15 Wealth

Quote from: Development rolls
North Nubia: 10, 1

In Central Egypt, Barley was grown en masse while the Copper mines in Southeastern Egypt began working around the same time. In Southern Anatolia, local miners started exploiting rich veins of Iron and Opals. In Western Persia, Opals were mined for first time while large blocks of Granite were carved from the mountains of Western Parthia. Eastern Mesopotamians smelted Copper, mixing it with Northeastern Mesopotamian Tin, creating the first bronze items of civilized world. The settlements of Northern Nubia began domesticating herds of Cattle and cutting Sandstone from nearby the Nile's shores.

The people of Nubia have settled the savannas of Northeastern Nubia.

After lengthy deliberation and dozen of wine vessels shattered in pre-celebratory manner, the goal is chosen: the wealthy south!

807 AD, A week later

An army has been spotted an hour to the southwest! It seems that regional governor and city mayors have banded together and cobbled up an army of four thousand! They're all militias, hunters, and mercenaries. Excepting some scouts and leaders, they have no horses at all. They do have a lot of axes and archers, scouts say.

A) We smash into the center and scatter them like strong wind scatters leaves on the ground!
B) Let's put up a defensive position and have the rabble crash against us like waves against the cliff!
C) One part of army attacks their flank, the other their center, and they will run away in panic before our mighty tactic!

Slight delay because of minecraft stuff :P

But here we go, the choicening:

Prologue:
a Bodyguard and childhood friend maybe with a crush: Stefan Daalmans (Wolfhunter107) by technicality; nobody else applied for specifically this bodyguard slot, so when I realized that, it was an easy choice
a faithful Servant/Aide/Maid since forever: Levi van de Aardemar (GiglameshDespair) I would want all 3 but I asked random.org for help and this what the RNG came with!
a dutiful Bodyguard sent by Cecilia's beloved elder brother: Lijsbeth de Lange (Gaterhyme) I have negative resistance to fancy armor cute mugs interesting characters.
Chapter 1:
a reasonable Acquaitance of law and justice, seeking truth: Nuallán Beaumont (Caellath) as nobody else given slightest indication of taking this spot
Chapter 2:
an impartial Gallian noble, seeking truth as well: Jean-Luc D'Alembert (Solymr) because nobody else challenged this spot, it was pretty much a given

That's all for now. Congratz to those who got in, those who didn't get in should keep their sheets on hand - there will be openings every few chapters because I aim to accrue a cast of 8 characters by midgame.

Affinity Tarot for the Choosen Five:

Quote
Death, Wheel of Fortune

Wolfhunter107: Wind, or reroll?

Quote
The World, the Hanged Man
The Devil, Death

Question: if we start building a monument can we have other territories help latter?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, just remember to assign them.

Lydia

We shall colonize North Levant and make the miraculous discovery in Southern Anatolia that our mines happen to contain strange grey metal inside them that we shall dub "Iron"

You sure you want only 1 tile developed instead of two, Fluffe?

"I don't think he would stay in his business for over a decade if that was the case, miss." Epirus remarked, but rubbed his chin in consternation as well.

Few mintues later, the group cross the fields between the village and the manor. It was without a second floor, but there were scaffoldings and materials indicating Mr.Corlann was spending his wealth rather than hoarding it.

Screaming, shrieking, and sounds of toppling furniture came from the inside. And just as Prince's and Epirus' combined team arrived at the front door, it opened.

Four maids, each holding a knife, were blocking the way, their stares blank and their dresses and aprons stained with blood. One of the maidens had blood all around her face, but perhaps it is better not to think about that too much.

"My lord."
"My lord?"
"My lord..."
"My lord!"

"This is creepy."

"Ladies! Please, we're here to help you!"

"Prince Aland, I am not sure they're listening... or capable of listening at this point."

"..." The Prince looked at the kitchenmaids, all glaring at the intruders with murderouds intent in their eyes.

"I would like this to end like at the temple... but I fear we might have to use force in self-defense. There must be a source of this madness. Find and destroy it! If Corlann is still alive at this point, find and apprehend him as well!"

Enemy stats are here!
Allies stats are here!

Objectives:
*Find and destroy the source of the local madness.
*Find and apprehend Albertus "Sir Purplecloak" Corlann, if he is still alive.

As for the fixes of previous sheetus:

TricMagic: Moon Remembered is a bit too much bookkeeping for a bit too much bonus. Almost ready!
Now it looks gucci for me. OK!

Wolfhunter107: Backstory in, as requested. OK!

Vokmar: This is a ready sheetu. OK!

I want to say I will choose the characters today, but I might delay it some more until Tuesday morning for me (~15 hours from now).
