Well two clerics are/will be running toward other wings of the second-largest castle on the continent and that other one right outside to vicinity of the castle grounds which one could guess is heavily patrolled area.

Yes, you do, by manually accessing either staircase which will put you at appropriate side of the next map. Ch.4 won't end till all of you choose and ascend the staircases. It was all written at beginning of teh battle map for fokker's sake v:

You're at same distance from throne room as NPCs and there's only handful of enemies around on your side now. Don't complain you can't reach throne room alongside greens. Then just kill the boss and resume looting v:
