You try to quickly retreat the ambushers and regroup the army in preparation for deadly melee.
3*
Despite your leadership, many younger soldiers retreat too far or just run away from the field!
You still have numerical advantage, but will that be enough against brute force of Fomorians? Their screaming approach means you will soon find out.
6*
The brutish giants approach the wall of spears and axes, and that's when you order the archers and slingers to do their job. Small rocks and arrows rain upon the Fomorians, who get confused by sudden hail of projectiles. You follow up with commanding the soldiers to advance, and groups of brave Rugians hack and stab and slash away at the Fomorians.
Within an hour, the dust settles. All of the Fomorians lie dead, and jubilant soldiers quickly realize that only few dozen of their comrades have perished, giving you a decisive victory over this group of raiders.
While the common soldier drinks in celebration and memory of fallen comrades, the Marshal, the officers, and you, gather in the tent to debate the next move.
You decide to...
A) Find out where the Fomorian chief is and strike the heart of this hairy menace.
B) Go through each ruined hamlet and skewer every Fomorian there is.
