@Colt:

Colt did find a treatrise on wind magic, called 'Blades of Wind', which described how to better manipulate the power of wind by modulating the ether around the mage as well as to increase energy of the wind by mixing it with magic over time rather than with a single strong burst. Of course this method required time, sometimes up to several minutes if to believe the author of the book. But later there were some other methods described, each dealing with different part of a wind spell - from range to timing, from wide blasts to thin whipping slashes, and some even explained the nuances of creating a magical tornado.

It was an extremely detailed treatrise rich in diagrams and schematics. It was rare to find such book in old Eferia! This heap of information will surely be helpful in the future.

Colt gains +1 rank in Wind subcategory!

  • Managed to overcome my translatory laziness and translated one of my newest Zeus: Master of Olympus adventures to english and uploaded it to HG server
  • Woke up without an ounce of tiredness or fever, two things that haunted my whole yesterday evening! Sleep fixes everything~

And Tiron is the only offender in case of NPC ineptitude. Danya was stabby whenever possible, Matilda was rejunevating/healing when possible, Anja was dancing/fluting when possible. Stop angsting so much

Too sick and tired to think coherently about numbers, too. Had to fix calculations four times by now and you guys didn't even notice the glaring errors :P Now all is fixed and I go sleep.

Nobody told him to do anything v:

* Haspen grumbles and goes heal someone.

@Nerea:

The monk was visibly bothered by the question.

"Uh, that damned enchanter... well, it is truth. From time to time I make healing staves and write down books of dark and light magic. And I sell them to pay most of the rent and religion tax. So you know, they're pricey." He dissappeared behind a door and then came back, holding several staves and books - then he told what is what and how much he wants for these items:

Quote
Heal (staff): 700 gold
Mend (staff, 1): 1400 gold
Antidote (staff, 1): 400 gold
Soothe (staff, 1): 950 gold
Sleep (staff, 1): 750 gold
Photon (1): 450 gold
Hustle (1): 500 gold
Ray (1): 750 gold
Luna (1): 1000 gold

@Einar:

Einar of course couldn't get anywhere else than the Archives. The elderly man behind the counter glared at him and his bow.

"Yes?"

@Halldora:

The genealogies book had one, terrible flaw. Until Revus the Second, the genealogies didn't list the Emperor's wives, and his daughters were merely mentioned as 'and 3 daughters' 'and a daughter who died in infancy' and such...

But from Revus the Second, an Emperor two centuries in the past, the genealogies went into other extreme of the spectrum; each child had its spouse listed, and how many children they had together as well. There were even 'royal concubines' listed for each of the Emperors, most of them having children with the Emperor; because of this, sometimes there were up to twenty or even thirty names written tightly, in tiny font, in the same line.

There wasn't a single mention of Eleonore nor any foreign princess, which might be fault of the scarce, male-centered chronologies in the first part of the book.

@Nerea:

The monk stopped sweeping and looked up at Nerea. His face was chiseled with wrinkles of old age, but somehow he managed to retain the blackness of his facial hair.

"Welcome to Chapel of Isis, Lady of Dawn and Maiden of Dusk. How may I help you child? It is unusual for someone to come outside the prayer hours."

~~Enemies Turn!~~

The three wyvern riders flied inside while more riders showed up at the manor's perimeter. One of these stabbed at Seyena, only to get smacked in the face by her javelin.

Seyena retaliates!

Seyena counters again!

~~Allies Turn!~~

"Sure thing!" And then Anja played the song of her people for Olison and Valor.

Danya in the meanwhile went to kill the paralyzed swordsman, only to gasp in terror.

"Oh shit! Guys, there's entire falconknight troop coming at us from the north!"

Quote from: Danya vs Sergeant C

Danya attacks again!

Matilda then finished off the poor sergeant while Tiron, at the sight of wyverns, quickly hid behind Olison's mount and called some magic to heal the cavalier.

@O'Connor:

"Really." The elder looked over O'Connor's armor and clothes, certainly not approving of the latest surge of militant 'scholars' invading his archives...

"Please wait here." The old man quickly moved from behind the counter and went upstairs. Soon he showed up at the top with Eleonore in tow, curiously peeking at the ground floor.

"Oh, oh yes! That's one of my companions. He was going to be a bit late. I haven't told you that, sir? My apologies." The elder just scoffed and went downstairs, then back behind his counter. Eleonore smiled to O'Connor and then went back between the bookshelves to continue her research.

"The 'biographies and population censuses' section is behind the door on the right, in the back. Three shelves in the middle."

@Colt:

Colt quickly found the pages devoted to the two gemstones. The sections were in different part of the book, but the description of both of these artifacts was identical: "a sphere of pink crystal, known to speak in unknown language at times and glow brightly whenever a wish of a person is being fulfilled."

While Crystal of Wishes had only one chronological entry, the Wishing Pearl apparently appeared seven times in seven different locations. The newest entry was of course about the gemstone held currenly by Baron Lavyerque; the oldest entry mentioned the Wishing Pearl being housed in Kingdom of Ysmir but the gemstone apparently dissappeared shortly before the conquest of Eferia by the Rivan Empire of the old, and then it resurfaced some sixty years later in collection of a merchant in Grand Duchy of Cadus.

@Halldora:

'Unification of the South' dealt primarily with descriptions of conquest of Eferia and Ysmir. Victories both in field and in sieges were described brightly and loudly, while defeats had only marginalized mentions. Then, there was this paragraph about the final years of the conquest:

"While the City of Ture remained free and continued mocking the armies of Rivan Empire, a swift attack at the capital of Eferia saw the downfall of the kingdom; indeed, the barbaric King sold his fair daughter, the last Princess of Eferia, to the young Prince of Rivan. The marriage of the two royal children also served as permament peace treaty and orders were sent to the brave and stubborn defenders of Ture to lay down their weapons. The Kingdom of Eferia continued to exist as a puppet state for next seven years, before it was dissolved along with freshly conquered Kingdom of Ysmir and its land labeled was 'Western Territory', the name it bears until today."

@Einar:

Einar quickly found out that Margoth was apparently not a lady; he was rather obese, with thick grey mesh on the double-chin, and shaggy brown hair resting against his shoulders.

"Hello there. How can I help you, son?" The owner of the shop asked in a low voice while a brown-haired youth emerged from a door in the back and began filling a nearby shelf with sets of crossbow bolts wrapped together with wire.

@Nerea:

Nerea got to the chapel and after venturing inside, she found herself in small, dimly-lit room, the numerous lit candles giving little light. There were rows of chairs, and an altar, upon which the very same woman, holding sun and moon, stood - the figurine being no taller than three feet.

The chapel was empty besides an elderly monk sweeping the floor in the corner with a broom. He was so absorbed in his sweeping that he seemingly didn't notice Nerea enter... nor he heard the wooden door creak horribly thanks to the old hinges.
