Jeopardy! article on wikipedia

TL;DR: Under tiles with numbers, there are clues. Based on the clue, you form a question for which the 'clue' would be an answer. If you form question correctly, you gain points, if you do it wrong, you lose points.

1st Bay12 Jeopardy rules:

1. The game shall start when at least 5 people make 'PTW' posts in this thread. However, new users can join and and post at any moment during the game.
2. First person that makes 'PTW' post is also the person who will choose the very first Jeopardy! question.
3. After 3rd incorrect question, GM automatically resolves the question and points are forfeit.
4. Game Board is NOT updated with every post; instead, an updated version of the board will be posted whenever a player 'in charge of board' says so.
5. After 3rd correct question by one person in a row, that person cannot reply to the next clue.
6. If you post an incorrect question, you cannot post again for the same clue.
7. Special tiles:
Double-Deal: Doubles the amount of points of this tile, both when question is correct OR incorrect (be careful!); there are 3 such tiles hidden on the board.
Safespot: You won't lose points if you will formulate wrong question; there's one such tile hidden on the board.

I would like to start NEF2 by the weekend (Friday evening?), so if you guys could, please start making your character sheets n .n

Oscar quietly followed after the Princess, not chiming on either his roots nor the battle plan. It was better not to discuss either from his standpoint.

21366
"Isn't there a desert somewhere in the middle of the continent?"

Oh and if you people can't decide what kind of character to make:

You will definitely want a Thief (or other lockpick-bearer) and a Mage (or other magical guy, as long as he deals high damage).

Otherwise you're free to make whatever :P

21368
Once they were outside of the throne room, Oscar walked closer to the Princess.

"Empress is clearly in league with Ansel, or is at least conspiring with him in secret." Said Oscar, ever the optimist.

"My other happy theory is that she is planning to murder us all the moment Ansel is dead. This one, unfortunately, seems more possible to me..."

Cast it into the fires of Mount Doom V:

@Someone in the past:

Yes, skills from First Class carry over to Promoted. The only two exceptions are mercenaries promoting to heroes and wyvern riders promoting to wyvern knights (it's somewhere at the end of spoiler in FEF2)

@Rolepgeek:

I don't think I saw you anywhere else than NEF1, so welcome aboard.

21371
NEF2 requires a FEF Veteran to be a newbie guide :P

* Haspen pokes peoples.

Posting to watch people gain a false sense of security. :3

Oh you.

Welcome to Noble Emblem 2, a series of games which will serve as 'Beginner's' game of the FEF games.

FEF means 'Fire Emblem on Forums' and is a forum game that bases its rules, classes and general 'feel' on the Fire Emblem series, a fairly popular franchise of tactical RPGs hailing from Japan. The series (and FEFs as well) are characterized by lengthy plot, much character development and quite high difficulty.

Noble Emblem introduces several changes that will allow new players - who had little knowledge of Fire Emblem or never played it - to get themselves accustomed to the difficulty and complexity of the game in slow, not-so-murderous way.

Useful links for new players:

Example character sheet
Player's Handbook 1.20 (sendspace.com)

2nd Noble Emblem links:

IC Thread!
Regional Fluff
Map of the Southern Region

Furthermore, all Terrain, Class and other homebrewed changes that apply in NEFs come from FEF2. Take a read to make sure you avoid unnecessary problems.

Recruitment:

For NEF2, there are 7 player slots: NPC Lady's friend (must be female), and 6 loyal, young guards.

The NPC Lady's friend slot is reserved for an FEF Veteran, a person who played FEF1. This person will provide guidance to the newbie players, from character creation to tactical help and everything in-between.

Young guards slots' are reserved for newbies. It's hard to define a newbie, but if I saw you in my FEF or some other FEFs, chances are you're not really a newbie anymore :P

NEF vs FEF:

Compared to FEF, Noble Emblem is shorter, linear and easier than FEF and other-player incarnations of the game.
NEF Characters start as lvl1, First Class, with Iron-grade weapon and one Vulnerary (3/3).
NEF2 will consist of Prologue, 2-3 Chapters and Final Chapter.

Cast of Characters:

Main Character:
1. Eleonore Eferos, Priestess (Lord), (NPC!)
Eleonore's Friends and Confidantes: (FEF Veterans)
2. Jorund, Bandit (SeriousConcentrate)
Eferian Royal Guards: (newbies)
3. Einar Tal, Bow Knight (Swordstar)
4. Cidney Wellison, Scavenger (Rolepgeek)
5. Colt Nimbus, Mage (birdy51)
6. O'Connor, Wyvern Rider (darkpaladin109)
Allies/NPC:
7. Prince Asoth, Cavalier (Lord), (NPC!)
8. Altmorin, Cavalier, (NPC!)
9. Castor, Bishop, (NPC!) (Chapter 2 only)
Dropped:
1. Nerea Abasolo, Priestess (USEC_OFFICER) (Prologue to Chapter 1)
Dead:
1. Halldora Asdis, Myrmidon (Powder Miner) (died during Chapter 2)

Party Gold: 190 coins

Recruitment closed.

The only staff I'm currently counting is Matilda's rejunevation, considering it has 8 uses.

And of course Hell tomes, as these are siege magics.
