If you recruit him, his ring is no longer droppable.
FYI: He sells the ring at later date to save a little girl from starvation but she gets mugged by bandits few minutes later and he watches her die.

« on: March 09, 2014, 07:04:42 am »Might not have to deal with him at all. That talk of "new employers" makes me think that Shimnir is recruitable. Plus he has a mugshot, which as any FE player knows signifies either a recruitable unit or a boss.
He's the only enemy with a mug. He's almost definitely the boss. And even if he was recruitable, we'd probably have to throw money/loot at him, something of which we are in short supply.
Because I would toss a chapter boss at you which you can nab in 3 turns.

Thus, everyone gathered in the southern hall.
The wind picked up on strength. The holes in the roof of the room, cracks in the walls and missing doors in corridors let it swirl and blow around the manor, it's whistling and booing making something akin to music at this point.
A very high-pitched, haunting music that's it.
Suddenly, the cracking of snow, distant voices and sounds of weapons being draw alerted the mercenaries that the enemies have arrived - mostly from eastern side. Except one certain man.
"Uh, what a dread place. And a bit of hassle when it comes to siegeing that thing-" Loud grumble came from the stranger's stomach, who placed a hand on it.
"Shimnir kill that woman, Shimnir choke this child, sorry Shimnir you will be paid later... Fuck that. I will just kill one of them, rob the corpse and make a run for it. Time to look for better employer anyways." He took a small, ornate knife from his pocket. Then he began to ponder...
Dark clouds are coming from the south. Together with the strong winds already present, there might be a blizzard soon...
