Unfortunately, the soldier lacked movement to get to the hexmaster. Soldier phantom took a stab at the Hexmaster, but it was too clumsy to kill the magician.

Hmmmm.  Say, Haspen, purely hypothetically, if a Rescued player (that is, one being actively carried) moves, can they be revitalized by a dance?  If they don't move (or move and are revitalized while being carried, assuming the first question is answered in the affirmative) and then are set down by the person carrying them, can they still move on the turn in question?

A person can only be revitalized if they're standing 'on their own'. So KO'd/Carried peeps cannot be targeted.
