"You will be paid from the pockets of our supporters and by the movement members wherever you go. Most often that means supplies, quality weapons and superior magic rather than bags of gold."

@Fezz:

And so Fezz bought a chest key.

Later that day...

Everyone finally gathered at Duke's office.

"Ah, I'm grateful you have waited. Whilst you were away, I've spoken with my daughter and I could prepare your rewards beforehand." He nodded as the guards began to give the mercenaries not only bags of money, but several other things as well...

Leo gets 3000 Gold!
Tacey gets 500 Gold!
Sakura gets Worm!
Julius gets Lockpicks!

"Now we need to talk about more serious business, my friends." The doors behind the mercenaries opened and several guards poured in, and Matilda, who was absent beforehand, entered as well.

"The documents you have helped fetch here are letters that could bring another purge in the Empire. Those are letters of various landowners and military officials supporting our secret movement, which aims for the downfall of the current Troian Emperor, Jurgen. A vile man like him cannot occupy the throne. Anyone could do, even one of the Imperial Generals, if only they weren't mostly rotten themselves."

"You need to understand one thing, though." Matilda interrupted. "We don't aim for the downfall and destruction of the Empire. We want to, hmm, 'vacate the throne' so someone better can sit on it."

"My daugther speaks not only for us, and people of Mireos, but for others too. Neithart didn't start the peace talks until we have introduced him to our movement. We have all this planned for a year now. It is time to set this plan in motion and you people will help Matilda and me achieve that goal." Some more guards appeared in the corridor and in the room as well.

"If one or more of you are loyal to the Empire, or do not wish to partake in this quest, you are free to refuse. Of course you understand that we have to protect our secret. Whoever refuses to join us, will be dead within next minute." The Duke nodded to the guards.

"Do you join our little rebellion, mercenaries?"

I just want to be helpful and will point out that in this turn 2 sages will get in range to paralyse you. You might want to hasten your exodus from the castle :P

* Haspen is also aware that there might have been slight movement error or two somewhere v:

That's fine, dude. No need to apologize. I for one respect your ability to keep up with something that requires this much number crunching for a standard turn and if you want to take a break for a few hours it's all good.

Few hours, huh? You would be surprised how many times I wanted to toss this all to trash and start a new forum game/go spend time on playing games :P

22806
You guys here be ready to, after I'm done with FEF1 update I'm fastforwarding to meeting with Duke :v

22807
Lucky you. My Saturday has been pretty crap so far and doesn't look likely to improve :/

Actually I just wanted to spend a day doing some fun and games instead of GMing and making FEF things all the time.

It's excruciating sometimes v:

22808
Okay I had whole saturday full of star trek episodes, total annihilation: kingdoms and gamemaking.

Time to move this crazy shit :V!

Is shopping still available?

Considering that RP shenanigans are still going, I can't really proceed, so: aye, shop as much as you want.

22810
@Julius:

The poor heroic thiefdude didn't find any place that would sell knives except the adventurer's shop, and even there it was a single set of knives.

@Grifen:

"I can give ya onehundred and fifty for that bow."

22811
What have I missed?

Glorious things. At least three of them got to the fanart spoiler.

22812
Sorry guys brain damage from all the shiny old retro games.

But I will reply to all in the morning v:!

22813
Furt's missing too v:

22814
Sorry for lateness, but an idea sprang up and I began developing RPG game that's a mix of Evulland (old game of mine), FEF and RtD games v:

But there, I replied to all (I hope).

@Candy:

"Err, you're what? Actually, nevermind. There was a beast, and we killed it." The guards turned on their heels and left, as the boy kept staring at Candy for a moment.

"Woaah, magical demon-destroying fairy!" He ran off excited, prolly to tell his friends a tale or three.

And then Candy heard something for the last time.

That whisper.

"You will be always my Candy~"

@Fezz:

"Nice to see a young man with oil in his head." Fezz lost the tome and got some coinage.

@Sheileo:

There was a theatre nearby, but it would be open in few hours, after the sunset. The today's performance is 'Leia the Crimson Princess', and apparently it was based on real princess from antiquity and the tale was full of murder, betrayal, heroic deeds and familial tragedy.

On the market plaza, a group of bards was plinging on their lutes some kind of cheerful melody whilst a juggler was tossing five differently coloured balls between his two hands.
