Dear spearmen,

When I tell you to go outside the walls to fight the detestable Xiongnu horsemen, please walk faster so you don't get bottlenecked in a narrow street whilst half of the enemy forces simply go the other way and set fire to my palace.

I liked that palace.

Right, right. You now remember, these are your tools. The bed creaks as you stand up and move closer, so you can check that those tools are...

A: ...Your needles and pins, and other cloth-making tools.
B: ...Your hammer, tongs and several unfinished spearheads.
C: ...Your painting tools and several ceramic jugs and pots waiting to be decorated.

You wake up.

Your head hurts, so you feel it up, but you feel nothing wrong about it. Strange, maybe you just slept on a wrong side or something, your bed isn't filled with feathers and silks, after all...

Some light shines through the small window near the bed, the sun rays falling onto the table. On the table, you see...

A: Iron helmet with red feather plume and golden decorations.
B: A set of tools and some bags.
C: Abacus with colorful beads, sheets of paper, and a bronze seal.

Screams of murder mix with the rumble of the thunder above.

Cromwell Jackson lunged at Lordo III, but the skilled swordmaster simply ducked from the blow, and when his enemy passed him, Lordo III stabbed at his side. Blood trickled from Cromwell's body as he tumbled away from his more fortunate 'target'.

That's when Cromwell Jackson got attacked by Dr. Pimpmeister Mc. Bonecarver. Cromwell, losing his cool for a moment, just madly swung his long sword, and it seemed to work - the weapon slashed right across Dr. Pimpmeister's chest, the aketon's leather cut as easily as the flesh under it.

In the meanwhile, Guy Alexander took defensive stance, whilst nearby, Ruthbert the Ruthful paced around, ready to counterattack any and all attemps at his own life.

Caim rushed at Guy Alexander, but thanks to the posture of his, he managed to block the lethal morning star.

Woe! Here comes Luke II and his trusted axe. He swings it, he slashes with it, but Guy Alexander manages to block and dodge the strikes. Only one of them connect with his body - his chin, to be exact, cutting into the jawbone. If he manages to survive the day, he will have one nice tale to tell to his grandchildren.

Rage Knight, full of rage and foam at lips, swung his battleaxe at Ruthbert the Ruthful. The axe slashed into the shoulder of the halberdier, the aketon cut easily. Blood gushed from the wound as Ruthbert took few steps to get himself away from Rage Knight's weapon.

Lordo III then idles for a while, not interested in active combat it seems.

There were two more duels, one between Count Kyle and Lordo III, as well as Ms. Pretty Obvious and Guy Alexander, but because they were evenly matched and no blood was spilled, there's nothing to write in detail about them.

No deaths this time!

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread

Reading all this makes me quite sad, as I barely ever remember my dreams. I dreamt a fair bit more when I was a child. Fo the last eight years though, I might remember one dream a month. Curiously though, they seem to be almost prescient. Only by up to a few days, and quite abstract but still... They're never very nice dreams, so I'd happily trade them for more regular light-hearted ones.

Do what I do: keep a 'dream notepad' near your bed. When you wake up, write the dream details into it as soon as possible. It helped me, might help you as well :P

I was in ASCII dungeon crawler. No, really.

The goal was to descend very very low and activate some kind of crystal. Lots of levels were trap/themed levels, often with deadly opponents. There was also a level with treasury with many burial items, like Ankhs, or those chinese paper slips, and lots of jade carvings. Another room was full of black egyptian jackals, and one other room was filled with acid swamp.

There was a level where the only enemies were quicksilver guys who moved at extra super fast speed. Then, there was a trap level with widn current that tossed you around and 'Endless Stairs' which took you so long to climb you actually managed to age, game-wise.

I don't remember everything, sadly, but there was a wizard guy who tried to woo me and rob me from my treasures, as well as floating skull who laughed at me in times of trouble, accompanied by dramatic musical interlude.

I do remember I got the crystal thing from the bottom, and won the game.

~~Enemy Turn!~~

Some more formation movement. Suprisingly, no sleep curses were thrown.

~~Allies Turn!~~

"Hey Falconknight lady!" Anja waved at Danya. The Berebian knight snapped with her reins and flew downwards toward the gypsy.

"What is it?"

"Can you take me closer to the armor guy? I have delivery to make."

"Allright. And the name is Danya." She helped Anja climb the pegasus and then she flew closer to Alex, depositing Anja right next to him.

"Thanks, Fal- Danya. Hey armor guy, catch!" The gypsy girl tossed the pair of shoes at Alexander's hands.

"Those are magical fancy shoes that Chris found in that hut down the hill. Wear them!"

~~Player Turn 13~~

The wind became weaker again, and even snow was gone; now just single snowflakes falling down from the clouds.
