You move along the river, towards the source of the noise.

You peek from behind some bushes and notice a very frivolous scene.

A group of seven nude maidens is having a little bathing time in the reiver. Five are in the river, prancing about the water and splashing each other, while two are sitting on the other side of the river, washing clothes made of some coarse, green fabric.

They're all golden-haired and have white skin. They chatter and yell and shout at each other in a language you completely do not understand.

A) Peep some more.
B) Well, investgation complete, good work! Now let's get outta here and find a crossing already.
C) Walk out from the bushes and peacefully announce your presence.

2464
Went with B to get this moving.

"Need another drink?"

"Hmm, well, no, thanks." Adam is silent for only just few seconds.

"I know you saw the pad, yet you're not interested in it?"

"I decided to feign ignorance."

"Oh, sorry, well. I was just having a listen to the local communications."

"You were spying on me?"

"Force of habit, my apologies."

Adam sets down his empty glass.

"Hey, can you get me a tank of Ribesnero?"

You pause at the odd request - Ribesnero is made of berries so sour people usually mix it with something sweet, or just have a shot to wake up. But a whole tank?

A) He wants a tank of Ribesnero, he gets a tank of Ribesnero.
B) (HOT-HEADED) "Oh man! You are crazy, right? A whole tank of Ribesnero is gonna twist your mouth into a knot!"
C) (CHATTY) "You know that Ribesnero is quite sour, right? I'm just gonna point that out..."

For all OOC discussion and other such things, go to discussion thread! That's also a place for all questions and mistake-pointing (and do point out mistakes, I'm not omniscient).

Please try to stay IC as often as possible.

Haspen can you build multiple of the same development in the same province, such as two military bases, or three academies, if there's enough room in said Province?

Nope. I gotta write that in.

We starting tomorrow.

2468
Nope, there would always be 2 provinces not adjacent to Capital.

2469
No wonder, I forgot to add the link, lol.

It's fixed now.

Time to revive my favorite strategy game on this forum: Era of Diesel!

Make up a Nation and race other Players to conquer the continent in 1900s atmosphere of technological progress and savagery of near-modern warfare with fancy new toys like: aeroplanes, tanks, and bombers! All this without bothering with naval combat and transports, diplomacy and treaties and multitude of other fancy options.

Spoiler: 1.Rules and Stuff (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: 2.Nation Traits (click to show/hide)

You excuse yourself once more.

Adam only smiles.

You return to the communications console.

You send a ping to the approaching ship, in hopes of-

"Wait, this station has BOOZE? I thought it's been dead for months!" You hear something akin to a young person howling in excitement. "Of course I and my crew will come over for drinks! Prepare your Cherrybomb tanks, whoever you are! Lucifer DiMaggio and his folks are gonna drink till they're dry! Woohoo!"

Well, it seems you will be having some very excited customers, very soon.

As you return behind the bar, you notice Adam quickly taking out a small device out of his ear and pocketing some sort of pad in the same time.

A) Start asking the obvious questions.
B) Feign ignorance. "Need another drink?"

You enter the forest to investigate the lights.

They dance away from you!

Patiently, step by step, you make your way towards the lights. They keep 'dancing' away from you, but you keep the pace.

It's not long until the swarm of fireflies brings you to a glade with gruesome sight.

An ancient burial slab, about knee tall, a rotten human corpse on it, and a bronze short sword in the corpse's hands.

Quote

You understand everything; this is the burial site of a Forest Warrior, who once waged war against humans, long before Remoria was founded, you believe. And the flickering fireflies are the remains of his or her spirit, if the old treatises are to be believed. Watching over the remains, the little wisps are ready to deliver curses and death upon predators, thieves and graverobbers.

You also realise what is wrong here; the corpse was supposed to be covered with stones. Someone, maybe the dead warrior's comrades, were unable to complete the burial. The fireflies were waiting for someone to finish it.

With great care, you gather flat stones from around the glade and cover the rotting body. You make sure not to touch the corpse or its weapon, lest the fireflies misinterpret your intentions.

Once finished, you leave the glade behind, just as the fireflies fly into the skies and dissipate.

The forest 'comes to life', and it no longer feels dark and cold. Stepping out from behind the trees, you see that its night already, and the mist is gone.

You camp for the night, undisturbed by anyone.

(Supplies: 10)

In the morning, you march forward into the nearby plains.

Just as the sun reaches the zenith, you stumbled upon a river, its banks peppered with small spruces and tall bushes. The river isn't very wide but peeking at the rushing waters, you're not sure how deep it might be - the fact that you can barely make out the depths isn't helping either.

It is then that you hear... laughter? A distant laughter of some maidens playing, although you do not see them.

A) Investigate the source of girly laughs.
B) Cross the river here and now.
C) Find a crossing, in opposite direction from the laughter.

2474
Steadfast, you continue your move alongside the forest.

As the sun slowly sets towards the horizon, you believe you've reached the 'other side' of the forest.

The problem is, the mist has not dissipated yet, which is most unnatural occurence.

While pondering what to do about that, you notice a shine in the forest - and once again the lights have come to tempt you. This time, however, its a vast cloud of them, zipping and dancing behind the trees faster and wilder than ever before.

A) Ignore the mist, the fireflies, set camp, and go sleep.
B) Enter the forest to investigate the lights.
C) Run into the mist so that the lights won't 'get you'.

You turn your back to the forest and fall asleep.

The next morning, you wake up hungry, cold, and surrounded by mist. You quickly re-ingite the campfire and eat some food before the continuing your journey.

(Supplies: 11)

As you continue your road alongside the forest, the mist starts feeling very oppressive. Its like a wall of milky haze, the freezing moisture within it making you shiver.

And an hour into your trek, another bunch of blue fireflies starts dancing amongst the trees. Compared to the coldness of the mist, the well-lit forest and its dancing lights feel almost inviting.

A) Obviously, something important is in there. Or perhaps unseen hand wants to guide me? I must venture into the woods!
B) Obviously, these lights are persistent hunters. Which means I must be equally persistent in not falling for their ploys!
