After a string of terror missions and sub-salvaging gone wrong, my funds went into a debt. I've tried to sack most of scieentists and engineers I don't need and scour few small ships for selling, alas, month later the funding comitee decided to terminate X-COM project.

And soon Earth became a water world.

Let's continue the festival of blood.

Axe the Zombie Prez shouts stories sentences of courage and valor, inspiring the freshly arriving members of the Princess' guard.

While Tarakai went into defensive, his shield in front of him, Gloria Helmec lunged at Axe who wasn't paying attention. And he stopped paying attention forever after her heavy mace smashed his face into his skull.

This apparently caused some consternation amongst the guards, as Perry Govier went into defensive; much like Mr.Blast began defending his comrade Maceter McMacemace.

The maceman in question, Maceter McMacemace, began his assault at the closest enemy, who was no one else than Tarakai. The defender easily avoided or deflected the attacks with his skill and shield, protecting his bdoy from harm.

In the same moment, Fave Ravien attacked Gloria Helmec. The two fine warrior ladies exchanged blows and parries so expertly that ultimately, neither of the two managed to even scratch their respective opponent.

And that's when Alex Mercer came into the equation. His mace swung above Gloria's head, and then he swung it lower. Poor axelady didn't manage to move away fast enough and she was sent against the wall. As her broken body slumped to the ground, her soul escaped her body with her last breath.

Tarakai remains alone. Is is worth dying for the Crown?

Objectives have changed for Side A.
Side A is on verge of losing this stage of battle!

Armored shoes can be heard now, coming from the same direction from which royalist reinforcements came!

But the combatanats had littel time to listen to those sounds, as the battle continued. Kaffehausen von Scriver tried to kill his rival, Axe the Zombie Prez. Their duel, yet again, was loud and fast, and yet again, neither of them managed to hit his target, as if the two were cursed or something.

In the meanwhile, Tarakai charged against one of his enemies, namely, Mr.Blast. Tarakai's mace swung horizontally, but Mr.Blast ducked. Then it swung from above, and Mr.Blast evaded the blow. Third time the charm, they say, and indeed - at the third strike, from above, at an angle, Mr.Blast didn't managed to move away quickly and felt the heavy weapon hit against his shoulder. It will leave hell of a bruise.

Gloria Helmec then raised her hatchet at Axe the Zombie Prez. The commander in question didn't manage to escape the onslaught of the valiant woman and the edge of the small axe smashed into his chainmail, rending his abdomen until blood trickled out. It was a miracle he was still standing.

With a deafening roar, Perry Govier rushed at Kaffehausen who was in open. This time there was no escape for the plate-covered officer. With skill and angst, Perry cut off Kaffehausen's left arm. As the man yelled in pain, the axe swung from the side and crashed into the side of the head, sending the corpse to the ground.

Cristobal Hunt decided to enact vengeance upon the axemaster; alas, the fate was against him. Or maybe it was Perry's skill? No matter, the shield deflected Cristobal's strikes and soon the hot-headed maceman yelled in pain as well, the axe striking at his shoulder, making the blood gush out and stain the carpet with another shade of red.

Then Cristobal gasped in surprise and pain, and looked down. The bloodied spearhead was poking from the middle of his stomach; the spear belonged to Mr.Blast. Cristobal fell onto his knees, and then forward onto the carpet, allowing his killer to dislodge the spear from between Cristobal's ribs.

Meanwhile, Tarakai was assaulted by Maceter McMacemace. Whilst at first the maceman had initiative, soon Tarakai was pushing at the foe, forcing him to defend himself. And even that wasn't enough - at one moment, Tarakai's mace passed the defense and a loud 'thud' was heard, when the weapon slammed against Maceter's chest, somehow not breaking a single rib. It could be called a stroke of luck.

That however was the end of the royalist's luck. The armored boots proved to be no one else's than reinforcements of the Princess' Guard! How did they got there from the other side, will possibly be a mystery; the two tough-looking guards immediatelly joined the battle.

Fane Ravien and Alex Mercer reinforce Side B!
Side A is at terrible disadvantage over Side B's bloated numbers!
