After soaking my adventurer in the blood of hundred or so sliths (including a veteran spearmaster), I've made a mistake of stepping onto evil swamp, and a pair of ghasts ambushed me.
I had few nephilim companions to aid me. I left the swamp alone. Rest in peace, kitties.

Time for merry assasination of Emperor Hawthorne?
Nope:
1st try: Hawthorne's Royal Guards & Golems.
2nd try: Healing items ran out, see above.
3rd try: Hawthorne's Royal Wizards.
4th try: Forgot to use Beast Ceremony before fight. That was quick.
5th try: Demons summoned by Hawthorne's Royal Wizards.

So, I unlocked Zoltan Cruiser and gave it a try. Got second Halberd Beam on the very first explored beacon in first Sector + another Zoltan crew few beacons later...
RNG of course trolled me with 2-shield ships as soon as at second Sector. Also, asteroid fields. Asteroid fields at least at half of the beacons, pelting away the supershield in few seconds.
Managed to get to third sector before getting obliterated by lasers and asteroids :v

Played all main-line Final Fantasies up to 13, but went through maybe half of them.
And sorry, but 6&5 are best
The series are, imho, going downhill after X, with 13th being the worst in my eyes. It just turned into fancy-graphics summon/aeon/sci-fi* centered game rather than enchanting tale of heroes and dark villains.
*Give me back my precious fantasy-steampunk themes, dammit
