get two torches, toss one to Vittori and attempt to light his own at the fire.
By pure chance Vittori wakes up Siegfried the scribe.
One of the torches is lit, and bow with quiver is procured.
But the brave men didn't even went away for five metres before the distant howling ended. The wolves must have gone away or something. It was quiet and peaceful again. The only real noise now was the sizzling of the fireplace.
And in the same moment but some other place...
Fight back.

Osred valiantly punches and smacks and kicks the wolves that try to eat him alive. He does that for a while before he is knocked down to the ground by some of the predators!

He tries to fight back but soon he only screams as the hungry wolves bite and latch on his body parts, tearing the flesh apart.
His mind relaxes...
...his eyesight dims...
...and then he is at peace.
