Ah, spells in Morrowind. I remember them fondly...

When I played my heavy-armor (ebony everything + Daedric Face of God) knight, my boots had permament Slowfall(1), my belt had permament Water Breath, my chest armor had permament Fortify Strength(6), my shirt had permament Restore Fatigue(4) and Restore Health(1), my pendant had Unlock(100), and one of my ebony pauldrons had Recall. Oh, and a spare ring with Levitation(5pts, 10sec) + pendants of Divine and Almsivi teleport.

He was able to get anywhere he wanted without drinking ton of potions or being super-mage.

My daedric axe, on other hand, had Damage Intelligence (at range of 30-50pts, iirc) per strike. Any mages who stood against me were basically doomed at the start of the battle :P

General Discussion / Hard questions that bother me today.
« on: August 04, 2012, 03:45:03 am »
Basically it's what my cousins (7 and 11 yrs old) asked me today and whilst I provided them satisfactory answers (for their interrogative young minds), I fell into 'ponder spiral' and thus have to ask others on the subject.

The questions were:

1. What is 'life', what makes a rock different from a giraffe?

2. What keeps all the people in the world from suddenly snapping and killing each other?

My answer to the first was:
Alive things are mobile, are intelligent, are able to procreate, have a definite 'starting' and 'ending' point (birth/death). Rock is unable to do anything of the above, whilst giraffe is mobile, is intelligent (to a degree), is able to procreate, and have the starting and ending point.

My answer to the second was:
Most propably the valid answer would be the fear of severe consequences that come with killing someone, consequences imposed either by the law and/or the vengeful relatives/friends of the killed person.

Storming home from school just to be before 3pm and thus, be there whilst Dragon Ball Z starts on local network (polish speaker over french dubs xD)

Oh, and using the screwdriver to do the magic thing with cassette reader for my Commodore 64 so I could play Boulder Dash, Tomahawk and few others.

Do you read the whole history of a generated world from top to bottom before starting to play it in Dwarf Fortress?

You don't?

I thought every good player spends at least an hour browsing through history o.o

What I want to know is why they're incapable of employing a quality video player. Every other site in the universe has a good video player. They don't even have to make one! They could just buy or steal one from another site and change the color scheme! It is that simple!

And whilst youtuberepeat.com was made ages ago, youtube still doesn't have something as simple as repeat button :P

28945
All of them are retardedly time consuming to scroll past on the mobile version of the site.

See? You're making MoM sad, that's enough of a reason to stop :P

28946
Guys, quote pyramids are frowned upon >:I

28947
What... what is mooshing? And you started with a textile entrepreneur? And what do the dashed lines mean? But still pretty damn funny even without context.

Sent you definition of 'mooshing' :P

Dashed lines mean I never made direct family relation to other chars, but they certainly are family :3

28948
So after few years of RPing I've decided to gather bits of info and make a family tree of my characters.

It turned out pretty convoluted and perverted hillarious :D

How so?

I've sent you a PM. Given the nature and age of characters involved, it ain't for such places like this :P

And hillarious because I haven't had idea it grew so large! To think I've started with just one character, oh dear.
