"How's the mix?" Simon looks at you, and then raises the glass some.

"It's... good. Fruitier than Sweet Gem Berry." He takes a sip.

"Still a bit too sweet for me."

A) To Louise: "How's spacefaring?"
B) To Louise&Simon: "You two don't talk together much, do you?"
C) To Simon: "You haven't told your aunt what you've told me, did you?"

"We shall stay overnight in Palovilas."

"Thank you."

"I will inform the crew in a moment, Captain. But after we disembark, should our first step be visiting the local company man, or the market?"

"His name is Fernando Equitas, a pleasant old man but rarely a source of information." The Purser explains while the Surgeon makes his way below deck.

A) "To the Company Man!"
B) "To the market!"
C) "We're just staying here a day."

"How about an Orchard? It's sweet, fruit, with some sourness."

"Sounds... like the berry one. But alright. I haven't tried this one yet, so, sure."

"How much for it?"

"90 credits." Louise nods and you start preparing the drink for Simon. He ends up with a tank glass of reddish-orange mix, while Louise lets you scan her credchip again. (+90c)

Simon takes a sip, thinks on it, and then takes another.

He doesn't say anything, but seems happy with his drink.

It is a tense whole hour as the crew is roused from their sleep and made to prepare for the attack of the mermaids or any other sort of confrontation.

But the three mermaids - sometimes two, when one or another dips into the sea for a while - accompany Santa Julia with no ill intent.

It is when the sky starts to grey that the Mermaids, one by one, sink into the waters and leave the ship alone.


The sudden bout of yelling and commotion makes you leave the cabin to ascertain the situation.

"What's happening!"

"Captain, I just saw it happen!" Says the Navigator standing by the steering wheel, pointing at the port side where sailors have gathered, two of them throwing ropes.

"One of the topmen just started screaming, punched his fellow and jumped from the rigging, straight into the sea! More crew gathers on top deck as you approach the port side.

Ultimately, the crew as unable to rescue Topman Guidado, who, as it seems, dissappeared in the water with no trace of him. A while later the First Mate arrives to report, with the Surgeon in tow.

"We've talked with other topmen. Guidado said that the ship is doomed, and the mermaids will kill us all, and he won't end his life in their toothy maws."

"Madness gripped him."

"Aye, it doesn't help that the sailors were awake and told to prepare for the worst tonight. But our Surgeon might have a solution." Rio nods his head.

"Captain, it came to my attention that we have Redleaf in our holds. It's known for its potency to calm even the most agitated minds, even those spooked by horrors of the depths. I could have our cook serve them redleaf tea to go with their usual meals, at least until we reach Palovilas and they can relax on the shore."

"How much you need?"

"I could do with as little as one Sack of Redleaf, Captain."

A) "Alright."
B) "That's cargo for Lusitania. You've got other medicines bought lately, try something different."

"Servants, guards, gifts and valuables! This is prime opportunity to show the wealth and splendor of our kingdom compared to others." The Advisor agrees and your courtiers nod and murmur along.

B) "Ehhh, it's not like we're going to wary anytime soon."

Maia Sanders: Right away, Commander. She walks to the comms station and chats with the operator there.

There's a moment of silence and then:

We've been in contact with Araparanu regional governor and there seems to be a misunderstanding, Commander. Araparanu have unlawfully sent a request using the name of Endean government as a whole, bypassing regulations just to receive your reply sooner. We would like to note that the sole authority that can process and send operational requests to you is the Endean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in tandem with the Bureau of Pan-Maian Council Representative for Endean Union, not a federal government abusing their autonomy priviledges.

Chief Secretary returns, raising her data pad, indicating there's something else she wants to say.
