You decide to use the priviledge of 'royal presence' to visit the Seimus.

Surprisingly enough, there's little bickering between the factions. Some don't care, most want the refugees out.

"They're godless and do not respect their Kings!" Say the Royalists, while Industrialist stance is: "They're uneducated and can't speak our language, what kind of good worker you can expect of them?"

The Seimus is in majority agreeing to make a law that makes mandatory expulsion of Reumian refugees camping in cities and villages in extreme eastern Rufia.

A) How can they be so heartless? Reumians must be saved!
B) Non Jacobus contra plures, I'm afraid.

You decide that Rufian soil is to be exploited by Rufians, not some ruffians from across the border!

1000 CCE, 2nd Week of Late Spring

Rufegees from war-torn Reumia are fleeing across the extreme eastern Rufian border into the country.

Most of them are uneducated, religious, and do not speak Rufian language, which is a point of contentment amongst the political 'parties' of the Seimus. In fact, an extraordinary session of Seimus has been convened so that the beard-wearing politicians can discuss the issue and perhaps a law to deal with the whole refugee problem.

A) Hey, hey! Wait for me!
B) I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Year 336.1

Having killed the Demon King C'is, the shamans and diviners of Sicis declare that they're saviors and new leaders of the Toadmen. They proclaim that the place for Toadmen to expand to is not north or south, like the deranged King said, but to the east, where the Great Lake is. A new wave of migration and expansion follows!

Meanwhile, very similar to the one that fell at Slugman Duchies, a meteorite falls just west of Great Scar University!

Year 334:

Seeing his people swayed away by wrong interpretations of the star-fall, King C'is begins an assault against the clergy, to break their power and install his subordinates as the new shamans and diviners of Sicis!

Year 333.4: Toadmen shamans of Sicis proclaim that the Falling Star is an omen, one that King C'is believes is a sign from heavens for his right to rule all Toadmen! Roll to see how does the star-falling propaganda goes!

You decide to have the Catacombs reconstructed.

Proper orders are issued to the Treasury and your ministers.

1000 CCE, 1st Week of Late Spring

A month remains until your marriage with Princess Elspeth of Lamia, and their parents have sent you a letter, in which they're grateful for the monetary gift and express their pride in having you as their future son-in-law.

Nikla Draguvic, bastard son of the late Dragu I Draguvic, has launched a campaign of terror and dirty fighting to reclaim his family throne. A new civil war grips Reumia, making it the fourth in past twenty years.

A delegation of industrialists from the neighbouring Kingdom of Rugen has arrived! They're asking to be sold the rights to exploit the coal and iron deposits in southern Rufia. These lands are mostly agrarian and only shortly before the war the local ores and coal have been discovered and dug out.

A) Send them away - foreigners will not be allowed to exploit our riches!
B) Send them to the Seimus, my ministers and bureaucrats are better fit to conduct business talks.
C) Send them to my palace! I shall strike the deal myself.

Year 329:

King C'is believes that the home marshes of Sicis, whilst comfy, restrain his people too much. He sends groups of less fortunate Toadmen to build new settlements for the Sicis, and most of the settlers go north or south from the Twenty Hamlets, to find suitable areas - be they marshlands, lakesides or river valleys.

Preparations take several months and the whole ordeal is the largest migratory project ever undertaken by the Toadmen, but C'is believes ancestors and gods favor his ideas!

You lead her to her bedchambers and order the servants to help her make at home, then return to your duties.

The healers are optimistic about Prince August's health. His fever went down and he looks much better after few good meals and a night of rest.

1000 CCE, 3rd Week of Mid-Spring

The flooding has subsided and thanks to the Engineering Corps of the Royal Army, the damage has been made minimal, and the subsequent cleanup will take much less time.

Governors of the affected provinces are immensely grateful and people praise your name!

1000 CCE, 4th Week of Mid-Spring

Now that the Revolution is over, you've had the time to check the damage done to the Royal Catacombs, located in the city of Sas, a day's travel from the capital.

What you find is a depressing sight; the main mausoleum was torched and its wood-and-stone cupola collapsed, destroying the shrine underneath. Several sarcophagi have been smashed by the godless Revolutionaries, and the Gilded Urn of Jacobus I, who died fighting a red drake, has been stolen, no doubt sold on the black market to some unscrupulous collector. Lower levels, where royal cousins and aunts and uncles were laid to rest have been flooded and ruined as well, with many of the naves completely collapsed with rubble and rock.

Your architects doubt what would come out as cheaper and easier to do - clean up the Royal Catacombs and rebuild the Funerary Temple, or erect new cemetery complex for your ancestors (and you, when it comes to it) somewhere else, perhaps using some of the remaining temple stones as construction material.

A) We will clean the Catacombs and rebuild the Temple, making it brighter and more opulent than it ever was!
B) Destruction of the Catacombs occured because it was a place of opulence and luxury, begging to be robbed. Its time my family is put to rest in a simpler construction!
C) What has been destroyed cannot be remade - but we can build a new resting place nearby, so that the funerary tradition of my family is upheld!

You dispatch a message to the Marshal, ordering the Royal Army to travel to regions affected by the floods to do some engineering.

The two 'exiled' royals, Prince August and Princess Loria, have arrived at your palace.

And just in time, too; Prince August has complained of fever on the last days of the journey and is now bedridden, the healers blaming malnutrition and bad weather as the main causes of his illness.

His younger sister visits you to thank you for your mercy.

"I'm glad that, despite the times being what they are, we could depend on fellow royal to take us in. Once my family gathers its troops and retakes Lauretania from clutches of the vile rebels, my parents will surely reward you and your nation, good King Jacobus."

You can't help but be smitten; Princess Loria is a statuesque stunner, a head taller than you, with great assets and even greater waterfall of pitch black hair reaching almost to her belt. She carries herself with grace and modesty but her voice is full of confidence. She's giving your this flirty look and her lips are delicately curved in a sly smile.

You wonder...

A) Whether Princess Loria would mind a little tour of the palace? The gardens are especially beatiful in afternoon light.
B) Whether Princess Loria would prefer to become Queen of Rufia?
C) Whether your loins are being too demanding. Bad Jacobus, bad! You're already bethrothed to another!
