EDIT: Holy shit. Ladies and gentlemen, the Lord British Postulate in action.

Ohshit, and they were so close.

But well, the old saying goes... 'It has stats. It can be killed.' :P

"It had fine meaty aftertaste to it, if you ask for details."

Spend the moment further practising drummer skills.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Your oldest fort?
« on: October 18, 2011, 11:01:02 am »
So yes, a poll and maybe a small memorial to your oldest fort? Or maybe it is still running?

Mine was Melbilonshen, 25 years old fort when it was abandoned. It featured countless sieges of goblins and steel-clad four-armed giants, legendary weaponsmith making iron sword of death (Destruction of Heavens), friendly megabeasts on furniture toppling rampages, superpowered soldiers killed by silly things and twice more dead dwarves than alive ones.

And it ended in bloody tantrum spiral that took the alive population from 220+ to 2 in several irl minutes. Only survivors were a miserable farmer sulking somewhere in the deeps and a lone crossbowdwarf who sit through whole tantrum spiral in his watch tower. He was without friends/family and propably that was what spared him from bloodshed, anger and madness.

Oh and of course it started with superpopular mayor and few kids getting killed by ill-timed ambush.

What about your oldest fort? Any epic stories of sadness/badassery/FUN to tell?

It happened again! Caves full of giant lizard youngs, what.
So how will you be purging them?
Fire? Cave-ins? Insane, drunken beards frothing at the dwarf with blind fury, blood, and booze?
or something less conventional?

You mean purging of annoying dwarves or goblin prisoners?

Yeah, I will toss them to lizards.

First time ever I was noticed that wild animal gave birth. It's perfect 'what woah awesome!' moment in mah life, like back then when one of my dwarf ladies gave birth to twins.

EDIT: It happened again! Caves full of giant lizard youngs, what.

Not a bad choice. Something for the soul, something for the mind, and something to ease your way into the job market(meaning Italian language).

Yar. I'm mostly here for languages and history. I always liked mythology, languages and such things...

Why the fuck I agreed to go to chemistry last year, blah, that was terrible decision. Now started anew, and I know this is much better choice~~

Started the university work as SRS BSNS from today (previous week was adjusting~~).
What are you studying, mister?

Classical Philology with Meditterranean Civilization :P

Which is latin/greek/italian, but with larger amount of geography/history/art.

Actually Logic proved to be quite easy, and latin is easy too thanks to it's similarity (in terms of wording) to english and few other european languages. Greek Literature is awesome thanks to handsome gay absolutely interesting professor. Only Theory of Literature hurt my brain, what with all that analysis and interpretations, and that old, rapsy voice of that old woman... blah.

Even Latin Grammar with the foreign professor is easier to understand.

Also, turned yesterday slab of roasted beef into beef stew with mushrooms and spices and generally om nom nom. Happiness around~~
