T'liki dispenses with some venom into hobgoblin 1! (1dmg, +Poison:3, +Sickness:3)

Meanwhile, Pips Serpent rigs the dice again and deals with hobgoblin 2! (3dmg)

Enemies Turn:

hobgoblin 1 tries to return the favor, but his stick bonces off T'liki's carapace!

goblin 5 sucker-punches Marie! (-1dmg)

goblin 6 follows along with his heavy stick, whacking Marie! (-1dmg)

goblin 7 attempts to get rid of spooder, but T'liki says no!

hobgoblin 3 swings his stick at Doomblob, but then realizes it was foolish!

goblin 8 stabs Marie in the gut with a kitchen knife! (-1dmg)

ninjagob 1 tries to slay T'liki with his curved sword, but it's too blunt to pierce the carapace!

EPISODE 1: Invasion of the Greenskins!
MISSION 1: Apprehend the Round Creature!

The control computer onboard the escape pod flashed with red and pink lights, until a small, robotic bunny showed up.

"Hi! I'm BON-BON, HoNK's computer mascot! Do not worry!! Everything's running fine!! We're approaching planet Nobelia, Yamato District, Chichirokawa Town, at speeds that are best left untold!!" A timer showed up, counting down from one full minute.

"Keep your seatbelts fastened and prepare for landing! 52 seconds to go!!..."

Meanwhile, down on the surface...

A goblin, with his body wrapped in a Nobelian flag, stepped onto a large, flat rock, to address his fellow greenskins.

"We un gut un-ion-ize, we gun not fite for overlards any-mur! Is not our destineh!!" He shouted at his comrades.

....sssssss...

"We musta maked our un countreh, where goblin and non-goblin can live in arrmony!" Other goblins nodded their heads at his words, agreeing with his viewpoint.

...ssSSSSHHHH...

"Got uh country made an we can build things! Make ice-crim! Ice-crim for all gobluns! This promise you me, if we take things in ur ands! Few of the more-aware goblins began listening it to the background, as there was quite a noise they couldn't simply localize...

...ssSSHHOOOOOOOOMM-

"Erect meh as presidunt, and am promise to-

*CRASH!!*

BON-BON bounced happily on the computer screen.

"We have safely arrived at outskirts of Chichirokawa!! It's twenty-five degrees outside, with sun out and zero clouds and a gentle breeze! Approximately eight thousand baddies have been detected in the half-kilometer radius around the escape pod!! Prepare for immediate combat situation!!" With a loud, metallic 'bomf', the escape pod's blast door was catapulted to the outside, allowing the Heroes to disembark from their craft.

"Good luck! Good luck! Good luck!" BON-BON disappeared from the screen.

A horde of angry goblins, wielding their crude weapons, snarled and hissed at the four Heroes.

It's fightin' time!!!

"Haha, you see... we have two shuttles, one is on a supply run, and the other is down at the capital. So, umm, we've arranged an emergency escape pod to deliver you to the surface. Don't worry though! Engineers have assured us that it will get you guys where you gotta be and the landing will be one-hundred-percent safe and accurate. Ha ha... ha..."

"Hopefully, if we succeed with this task, our budget and our resources will get a boost. The station's half-finished as it is..." Admiral-General nodded solemnly, stroking his beard.

"Well, technically, that too." The Admiral-General nodded.

"The local defense teams are a bit overwhelmed right now, so we're sure they would like to have some help with purging of the greenskins!!" The liaison officer smiled happily. "But, your main task is something else."

"You are to find and capture - or eliminate - the strange round creature as fast as possible. Perhaps its removal will cause the goblins to scatter and run back to their caves." Natalia tapped on her PADD few times.

"Aha! There we go. We weren't sure if you guys were able to get some supplies yet, so I've talked with the Quartermaster to set aside some of the maintenance and medical supplies for you guys. Goblins like to put poisonous plant juices on their weapons, so we've got you some antidotes, elixirs and zap hands - just in case."

The elevator took the group to Deck 3, and soon they were at the makeshift briefing room, which clearly was a Holo-Vid Cinema.

The movie screen, for example, now hosted a 2D map of Nobelian planet, with all five continents, the southern and northern poles, the Big Island Archipelago in southwest, and the Capsule Island in middle of nowhere. A big red dot was flashing on Yamato continent, the easternmost continent on the map.

"Ah, you're here already." Admiral-General looked pleased. "That is good, saves me the trouble... alright! There is a situation developing in Yamato. Several cities have been attacked by the Goblins! That's third time in this decade..."

"This time however, they actually possess more than stones and sticks and bows! The pesky goblins are storming the local defense areas with motorbikes, laser guns and thrown explosives!! This is kind of equipment that the goblins never used before, not to mention, the ethnologists never before saw them smelt copper!"

"The Government believes the goblins are having help from 'the outside'." With click of his PADD, the Admiral-General made the map zoom in on Yamato District, with Chichirokawa city smack dab in the middle.

"There has been sightings of a strange, round-shaped humanoid armed with a club and shouting commands at the hordes of greenskins. Nowhere else this 'creature' have been seen, so we assume it's their leader." Natalia clapped her hands together and smiled.

"I think you guys can guess your mission for today, don't you?"

Episode 005: The Admiral and the Madmen

The 1st Fleet was about to leave Celaeno system, when a distress call from a mining station gave us coordinates for the pirate's hidden base.

It was obliterated, and we got some resources out of it. Very nice.

The fleet was ordered to get back to Earth for repairs, and a refit of the old Porcupines into the Model II.

Turns out the people of Lavascio didn't just disappear - they've migrated underground!

While some xenobiologists are thrilled with prospect of meeting vaulted aliens, most of research department is vastly skeptical that any of the aliens survived.

Sunrays-gathering bacteria? That's new.

I doubt the power output of such bacteria could have use for the military.

Maybe energy production facilities will benefit from the bacterial research more?

Now we have bacteria-shaped solar panels.

I'm allright with that!

Olympia colony is up and running, and can now begin building of industrial and urban districts!

The local vegetation is quite robust, but I'm sure we can find the ways to deal with it later.

The planet is too far for Sol's administration to properly govern it. A new Sector 'Olympia', has been set up.

Recently graduated from People's Academy of Ontario, Governess Ting Sima will rule over the sector.

The Commitee's rush to grab new colonial sites continues!

We will be settling Humans on the distant, tropical paradise of Trabbur II.

With 75% habitability and the love aerosols produced by local flora, it will sure become a sprawling oasis in the darkness of cosmos.

Volatile Motes are basically bits of natural-occuring TNT dust.

Or so we believe. The Hixar system is unfortunately right next to Cynur Kingdom's borders, so we will probably won't be able to grab it.

Speaking of Cynur - they've blocked off USS Darwin from returning!

Elthior system has some agressively running MIning Drones. Mr.Schneider is left with no choice but manually plot a course across the outher edge of Elthior to return to USoE claimed space.

With research done both on Gene Clinics and Survey Protocols, we can set new topics for our scientists to pursue.

At last, there's a plausible way to construct a Fusion Reactor! Switzerland tried to build one shortly before Seven Days War, and since then, humans did not try to harness fusion power.

It is time we reach for this energy breakthrough! Guy Gerard, a Swiss Particle Physicist, has supplanted Mrs.de Chatelnau as head of Physics Department for the duration of the project.

Whilst we failed to get photographical evidence of the 'Mummies', there are message recordings and particle trail data we can pursue.

It might be very well one of the alien races from other side of Cynur's space, as they've met at least 5 different others besides us by now.

And sure thing, the elusive 'Mummies' vessel has been photographed, taking holographic survey of one of the bigger asteroids.

Xenolinguistics department claims it will need about 6-7 months to decipher the alien language.

Terra Nova colony has grew big enough to allow for construction of specialized buildings!

It has been decided that the Gene Clinics will be built. If they become operational soon enough, we can expect our population on Terra Nova to boom.

Are our outer space scientists cursed? One dies to mutiny, other gains a taste for drugs, and other becomes stubbornly incompetent.

Only Mrs.Lombardi, having recently came up to the light, and Mr.Yong, who keeps to our claimed territories, are without a blemish.

Perhaps our research departments are too decentralized and too autonomous. Or perhaps it the old learning practices?

A centralized Science Division will oversee growing up of our scientists as well as management of the cadres.

The 'Mummies' were first to translate our language, and they're called 'Velutarian Commonwealth'.

It is a republican bunch of bureaucrats and firm believers in science and meritocratic values.

Chairwoman Dubois have made peaceful overtures toward the Velutarians. Hopefully they will repay in kind.

With the survey of the continental world of Uxplorix III, the Habitable Systems Survey Project has been completed!

The rewards are okay, but I hoped for more.

An asteroid is on direct path to Olympia colony!

There is a general Emergency declared for the Olympia Sector, and people of Earth are very distressed about this!

1st Fleet of Admiral Tian Deng has been sent to intercept and destroy the asteroid. The 1st Fleet has just recently finished up their Porcupine refits.

We can still forcibly evacuate and resettle the population. If the big rock gets too close, we shall evacuate and abandon Olympia altogether.

Cynur and Velutarian diplomats have approached the Commitee with a quite noble idea - one of creating a 'Galactic Community'.

It would be a forum to discuss matters and one to determine the fate of galaxy.

Humans, as always, love political thingies, and we agreed to support the endeavour.

Our diplomatic efforts towards the Cynur have paid off!

The feathered monarchists have re-opened their borders to our ships. Perhaps there can be understanding and peace between our two races.

Pushing the engines of his ships and abilities of his officers to the limits, Admiral Tian Deng manages to intercept the asteroid!

Using nuclear warheads to shatter the asteroid's surface and then lasers to vaporize the resultant chunks, 1st Fleet should be done with the space rock within few weeks.

Olympia colony has been saved! And we get minerals out of it!

Hailed as heroes, the 1st Fleet under command of Admiral Tian Deng is returning to earth to receive a parade.

Starfleet's demand to increase the size of 1st Fleet has been approved by Chairwoman Dubois; four Porcupine-II's and four Katyushas will be added to Admiral Deng's force.
