Champion [CHMP]
A youngster that grew up into a battle-hardened young adult, master of sword, spear, hammer, flail, bi-knives, war-fists, hook-axe, battle-net and sickle-staff. Then they discarded all their skills to concentrate on wielding claymores and heavy shields instead. Considered dumb and brutish, Champions nonetheless make most loyal of allies and a good joke material all-year round.

Faerie [FAIE]
Some sort of humanoid with beautiful face, beautiful hair, beautiful skin, beatiful everything. Over the centuries, their perfectionism made them rather narcissist and arrogant to other races, especially those stupid, weak, ugly humans. Ugh, humans! Faeries are the only race in existence that still worships the ancient world-goddess, Faea, who's said to return in year 30131 to bring about a new era of prosperity upon Faerie.

Gorgon [GORG]
Snek-person with red, scaly skin, luscious flowing hair, and with a rather unfortunate habit of barely wearing any clothes (loincloths and chestwraps being the standard). For some reason, Gorgon females are more popular than males, especially among human and faerie teenagers. Gorgons use their natural abilities in combat, and are able to slow and paralyze their enemies before finishing them off.

Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Arachnid [GIFT]
Nobody knows from which circle of hell those cheerful, brown-skinned, fuzzy spiders came from, but once they've left it, they've decided to settle in Nobelia for good. Usually, they keep to themselves, happily living out their lives in dark forests and forgotten ruins. However, some of them possess adventurous spirits, which send them out into the world to kill some baddies and feast on their succulen- I mean, save the world.

An artist who uses their fists and feet to fight (and create art, too). Their fight style is messy, and some believe that the paints they use might have way too toxic fumes to be considered 'safe'. It probably messes up with their brains, too, but don't tell them that.

Chicken Broth (1): Masterchef prepares the cure-all used by every babushka in the world - chicken soup! At start of next Turn, Masterchef and their allies will clear themselves of up to 2 Ailments.
Spicy Boi Roll (1): Masterchef prepares a special, spicy bread roll for a chosen warrior. At start of next Turn, a chosen Ally will lose 1 HP, but gain +1 Hit and +2 Damage bonus for 3 Turns.
Mystery Ingredient (1): Turns one of Consumable Items in the inventory into a 'Mystery Ingredient'. Masterchef can use this skill up to 3 times per Turn, as long as they have enough AP.

Necrolover [NCRL]
A person with some strange interests that might or might not include leather, restraints and other items perceived as rather uncomfortable by majority of Nobelian citizenry. They weaken, maim and then kill their opponents, and some morality-oriented Nobelians question their approach to combat. Rumors of them being actually dead, reanimated bodies, are greatly exaggerated.

Skills:
Heel Strike (1): Attacks the enemy with the stiletto-heel boot of the Necrolover, dealing 1 Piercing Damage and lowering target's Evasion and Hit by 1 for next 2 Turns. (Nowhere it is mentioned that the boot goes off your foot during this.)
Wound Salt (1): Boosts an Ally (or Self) by applying a special powder against their wounds, providing a bonus +1 Damage for next 4 Turns. Obviously, cannot be used on Allies who have full HP.
Waise Fwom Your Gwave! (2): Raises 1d6 dead Mooks as Allies for 3 Turns.
The Black Kiss (3): After applying their favorite black lipstick, the Necrolover sends a kiss toward one enemy, inflicting Doom ailment on them.
Saturday Night Fever (3): Inflicts Sickness, Weak and Quickness on the Target for 4 Turns.
Total Eclipse of the Heart (4): Dark curse that targets one Enemy. The enemy rolls for Evasion; if they fail, their HP is lowered to 1. If they succeed, Total Eclipse of the Heart lowers their HP by 1.

Ninja-Samurai [NISA]
Warriors from eastern borderlands of Nobelia, they're considered (by themselves) to be pinnacles of martial prowess and upholders of warrior's honor. Others consider them narcissist and arrogant. Ninja-Samurai wield double-handed, curved sword, whilst heir belts are decorated with side weapons, espionage tools, magic scrolls and other useful items.

Armorbreak (2): An attack blessed by ancestor spirits, dealing 4 Damage and inflicting Rust ailment on Target for 2 Turns.
Spiritbreak (2): An attack blessed by warrior spirits, dealing 4 Damage and lowering target's AP by 3.
Demonscroll (4): Flames of underworld engulf all enemies, dealing 1 Fire Damage and inflicting On Fire! on them for 3 Turns.

A young lad or lass wielding a rapier, dressed in a white blouse, a cuirass matching the color of their hair, and a frilly, colorful miniskirt - yes, the lads too. They're sworn defenders of Nobelia, using their finesse and deadly-accurate attacks to bring down foes, be they hordes of mooks or armored death knights from another dimension.

Skills:
Through Their Defenses, Piercing Stab! (1): Attacks the enemy, dealing Weapon's damage value, with added Piercing modifier.
Disabling the Enemy, Surgical Strike! (1): Attacks the enemy, dealing Weapon's damage value, and inflicts Armbind ailment for 2 Turns.
Dazzling Footwork, Quick Jab! (1): Attacks the enemy so fast that their Evasion against this particular attack is lowered by 2.
Multi-Armed and Dangerous, Triple Attack! (2): Attacks the enemy three times.
Straight to the Point, Heart Crash! (2): Attacks the enemy for double the Weapon's damage, and lowers their AP by 2 points.

A magician who taps into the enthropy and chaos governing the universe, and use that to wreak havoc upon the battlefield. And no, they're not gamblers: gamblers gamble for thrill and profit, while Numerologists roll the dice to determine fates of universe - and then gamble for thrill and profit.

A human teen wearing a specialized combat-flight-suit. Usually such teens have pretty normal lives, up until that one traumatic event which ends with them falling into a prototype bodysuit, giving them powers of destruction and uneasy belief that the world needs saving. Since then, their lives have been filled with feelings of awesome and awkward. Might be terminal, actually.

Skills:
Charge Up (1): Charge Up's the Positron Artillery Beam (max. 4 times). The damage increased is +1/+3/+7/+12 until Positron Artillery Beam is fired.
Positron Artillery Beam (1): Fires a devastating beam of positrons, that deals 3 Damage to the target and 1 Damage to enemies adjacent to it. If Charge Up counter is above 0, resets it back to 0.
Energy Barrier (2): Pilotmecha's suit generates a barrier of static energy that can negate damage. Energy Barrier persists until it nullifies 7 damage total, or until Pilotmecha's next Turn.
Pulse-Jet Engine (2): Pilotmecha engages the Pulse Jet Engines located at their back, allowing for brief flight, increasing their Evasion by +4 for 2 Turns.
Micromissiles (2 or 4): Fires 2 or 4 micromissiles at one target, each dealing 3 Damage.
Plasma Sword (3): A slash of super-charged blade-shaped energy, dealing 4 Magical Damage to the target, and inflicting them with Plasma Burn and Irradiated! ailments.

A person specialized in use of war dolls. Basically, a hero with their own set of mooks that can be easily repaired. Actually, what do you need allies for? Dump them in the nearest junkyard and go save the world all by yourself! Pfft, allies.

Guardian Doll (1): A bulky doll with 11 HP and basic attack that deals 2 Damage. Big enough to Defend Puppet Master or their allies.
Magic Doll (1): A small doll with 5 HP. Skills (no AP): Afterimage, Light Flash, Magic Missile.
Warrior Doll (1): A ferocious doll with 9 HP and basic attack that deals 3 Damage.
Mini-Efreet (2): A doll in turban and with a scimitar, it has 10 HP and a basic attack that deals 2 Damage. Skills (no AP): Conflagration.
Mini-Thor (2): A doll wielding a magical thunder-hammer, it has 11 HP and a basic attack that deals 3 Magical Damage.

A/an [insert your preferred race here]-faced robotic guardian. Within its metallic body there is an arsenal of deadly weapons of destruction and oblivion. They are product of years of research and assembly by the most skilled of Nobelian engineers.

Lock-On (1): All team members (including R.O.B.O) gain +3 Hit vs Target for next 2 Turns.
Cryo-Beam (1): Inflicts Slow ailment on the Target for 2 Turns. If the Target is already Slowed, Cryo-Beam deals 2 Ice Damage and inflicts Frozen ailment until next Turn.
Self-Repair (2): Restores R.O.B.O's HP by 7 amd removes 1 Ailment.

First Aid (0): Sage provides simple first-aid for one ally, removing 1 ailment. If no ailments are present, restores 2 HP of the ally.
Encyclopedic Check (1): Sage delves into his research notes to search for weakpoints on the enemy, providing a +1 Damage bonus against the Target for next 3 Turns.
Resuscitation (1): Sage ressurects one fallen Ally with 1 HP.
Medical Lecture (2): Sage lectures his allies on battlefield medicine and first-aid. For next 3 Turns, all Healing Items used by Sage's allies will restore 2 HP extra.

Skyranger [SKRE]
Mysterious and enigmatic protectors of Nobelian forests and borders, using ornithopters to travel. Usually, Skyranger captains are noblemen who renounced (or had to renounce) their titles to focus on protection of their homelands. Skyrangers use stealth to cripple and kill their enemies, but when that does not work, they don't shy away from high explosives and shotguns.

Tough-as-nails member of the ancient and highly prestigious Legion Ültra, the only Nobelian organization that managed to bring Invasion of Ra-Pootah to a halt. They primarily wield saw-blades, but have a small utility belt at the ready, packed with wondrous (and murderous) gadgets.

Magic Missile (1): Deals 2 Magical damage to target.
Water Rod (1): Summons a magical, Rod-shaped water elemental, which replaces current weapon for 4 Turns. 1 Magical Damage, inflicts Wet! on hit.
Light Flash (2): Conjures bright, dazzling light that inflicts Blindness on All Enemies for next 2 Turns.
Chain Lighting (2): Deals 3 Magical damage to target; then 2 Magical damage to random enemy, and finally 1 Magical damage to another random enemy. Doubled damage if the enemy is suffering from Wet! ailment.
Stone Skin (3): Turns Wizzard's skin into a rocky shell, increasing their Armor by 3 for next 5 Turns.

Zubatman [UBAT]
A member of the animal-person tribe living in the caves under the Nobelian mountains and hills. Zubatmen live in large families, and routinely help trapped miners and lost adventurers return to the surface. They're often hired by mining guilds to help navigate natural cave systems. Zubatmen aren't particularily strong, but are quite agile and capable of flight.

SKREEEE!! (2): Deals 4 Piercing Damage to the Target.
Life Drain (2): Zubatman takes a sip of delicious life jooz! Lowers Target's HP by 1, and restores 1 HP of Zubatman.
Call of Zubat (3): Zubatman calls up one of their numerous relatives to assist on the field in exchange for a Food item. Summoned Zubatman will run away if their HP gets below 4, or after the Battle ends.

Acid: Uses a counter to determine how much Damage is dealt to the unit at start of a Turn. After dealing damage, the counter is reduced by 1; if counter hits 0, this Ailment is cleared. If struck with Wet! ailment, the two ailments cancel each other out.
Armbind: Cannot Attack or use Skills that require Weapon use.
Blindness: Lowers Hit of this unit by 3.
Doom: Starts with counter of 4. At start of each Turn, the counter is lowered by 1. When the counter hits 0, the unit is killed.
Forgetfulness: Unable to use all Skills that cost 1 or more AP.
Frozen: Unable to move until cleared. If hit with On Fire! ailment, the two ailments cancel each other out.
Irradiated!: Deals 1 Damage and applies Weak ailment at start of each Turn, until cleared.
Marked!: Required for some skills used by Martial Artist.
On Fire!: Suffers 1-4 Damage at start of each Turn. If hit with Frozen ailment, the two ailments cancel each other out.
Petrification: Has three possible stages. -1 Evasion and +1 Armor on stage 1. -3 Evasion and +2 Armor on stage 2. On stage 3, the unit is killed.
Plasma Burn: Suffers 2 Damage at start of each Turn, and takes double Magical Damage from all sources.
Poison: Suffers 1 Damage at start of each Turn, and additional +1 Damage from every other Ailment they suffer from. Poison cannot kill the unit that suffers from it.
Quickening: Can perform twice in a Turn. If suffering from Doom ailment, the Doom counter is halved. Suffers effects of Acid, Irradiated!, On Fire!, Plasma Burn, Poison and Sickness ailments twice per Turn. If hit with Slow ailment, the two ailments cancel each other out.
Rust: Lowers Armor of this unit by 3.
Sickness: Deals 1-6 Damage at start of each Even Turn. Randomly inflicts either Blindness, Poison, Slow or Weak for 3 Turns on each Odd Turn.
Shadowbind: Cannot switch places with Allies. Maximum Evasion can be 0.
