Goblins launched 2 ambushes against me.
Guess who won out of ten iron clad very good axedwarves who are legendary at shield using, and three marksgoblins along with several goblin pikemen.

But the fortress survived?

A small, around 1997 or so made/releaed game. Made by one guy, if I recall...

It is a tetris like game, were blocks of color fall from the sky and you can arrange it to create units, like soldiers, archers, dragons, golems, necromancers... and so on that would appear at the button of the screen, fighting the units the other player summoned in that manner. You could pick your wizard/summoner/castle at the start and play against a human or ai... very pixly.

Siege might have been part of the name

It is actually called Siege ;)

Good luck with finding it, though. With just such one common word...

Ah, but you did not think of me and my google-fu. You'll probably need both links, first has a download to Siege!, second is a download of some missing dll file.

A child grabbed some alabaster and Blind Cave Ogre bone to make....
A ring.
Goddammit.

send his parent against the badgers. make him tantrum in sadness, kill him by using a legendary hammerer armed with a wooden hammer, or a whip. enjoy seeing him suffer.

I don't know... he made a fancy ring. It's not a weaponsmith who used a ton of adamantine to make a hammer. Or something idiotic/useless like that.

And it's alabaster and blind cave ogre, it didn't even pumped his wealth high enough to trigger 300+ goblin siege.

No point in killing kid for me :P

Well given that he is a diplomat of people who live aboveground and sleep in mud instead of beds or cozy rocks...

I would do go as well and chill in something like a bathhouse, especially that he doesn't have one at home :P

He is saying 'What' and not 'Why' :c

I very, very dimly remember a game a friend showed me a good few years back. I think it was somthing along the lines of running a viking village, and all that I recall with any clarity was some sort of quest or somthing where a guy needed some mead, and I remember that you could find chests around the map, some of which contained guys with bows. The graphics were a bit cartoony, I think, and it was isometric. I'm not getting my hopes up, but anyone got any ideas?

Cultures 2

Wikings, mead quest in tutorial, warriors and potions hidden in chests. I remember the game cuz I loved to play it :P

Reminds me of the metal cover of Hall of Mountain King :P

I will visit a dozen or so worlds, strip-mine and steal all their gold and silver, and then I will build a Fort Knox.

Except build it out of the gold and silver instead of building it to guard the gold and silver?  :P

No, no, no...

He will build it out of gold and silver to store the rest of gold and silver in chests.

Hmm, Kelvin's, because that Celsius with nicer zero. Metric is generally a nice thing, what with base ten.

What I like to measure? Obviously it's CENSORED :P

So apparently my fortress design became a dystopian Empire at some point.

...

Anything else I can inflict on these Hopeless Productive citizens?

Divide each level in half. Fill one half with magma, then rig your 5-year clock to move the magma from one side to the other. Make your selected dwarfs race the magma to the safety of the stairwell to the next level. Bonus: This will weed out the slow ones too.

Hmm... This is an interesting Idea, I'll have to set the room sup to be floodable, then ensure they drain properly, THEN make sure all the furniture isn't flammable.

Iron is your best friend. Cheap, abundant, magma-resistant.

I will be playing on priv server, prolly with three or four friends or something like that. Slowly, we will build our fortress of awesome and then do some epic stuff.

And then I will do that again, but alone to experience harder difficulty :P
