Start writing a journal seen in eyes of one dwarf, leader perhaps?
If you will write down their lives and events, there's always a chance you will want to see 'how badly this year will go compared to previous invasion of skeleton alligators' or something I have problems de-taching myself from this old 40d fort just because I can't leave 15 game years of journals and stuff.
Embark on difficult places - no iron nor flux + terrifying region with skeletal sturgeons.
Start with nothing else than a single pick. And using that one tool, try to make your dorfs survive and thrive.

« on: April 23, 2011, 08:13:06 am »I was thinking of learning a new language. Maybe Espanol, as being bilingual in that regard would make myself a more valuable asset when looking for jobs.
In all honesty though, I just feel somewhat bad that anything else that even resembles another language to me is just gibberish, so I’d like to learn another. So my question is: Is there a free, effective software that I can download to learn a new language? I'm always distrustful of my google searches.
Protip: Same root languages are easiest to learn. If you're English, it means other latin mixed ones - French, German, Espanol, Italian...
