1341 AD, Summer

There's a new fashion amongst your noblemen - elven alchemists.

These so-called 'alchemists' are using various sorts of salts, liquids and colored marbles to create marvelous potions. They have yet to create Fireblood, although many of them are capable of 'enriching the primes', which appears to do something with turning base metals into precious ones.

Your own alchemists scoff at them, believing that they are charlatans; the elves taking cash for their tricks and toys while they toil day and night alloying metals and mixing up Fireblood for you.

A) A harmless fun, this elven alchemy!
B) Hey, and why exactly I wasn't visited by an elf yet? I demand a 30-day trial at least!
C) Elven charlatanery has no place in the world of science! Outlaw the practice!
D) Haven't I've read about this somewhere...?

Proposal for 710BC-2:

Semi-historical setup; you can only choose Martial Roma (red), Maritime Cartago (white), Oligarchic Macedonia (cyan), Plutocratic Athens (teal), Martial Sparta (orange), Oligarchic Men-Nefer (yellow), Maritime Phoenicia (that lavender thingy color), Oligarchic Assyria (silver) or Oligarchic Babilon (purple).

That would create Roma-Carthago power struggle (separated only by Sardinia/Sicily island access), Macedonia-Athens-Sparta careful cold war status (with Athens having the unfortunate distinction of being just 1 sea attack away from both) and Babilon-Assyria paranoiafest (they would start as direct land neighbours). Meanwhile, Men-Nefer would end landlocked for at least 1-2 turns, while Phoenicia would need to establish its network quickly before dust settles in Mesopotamia.

On the first mystery, I've found Police Revolver and 5 bullets.

Then got an extra pack of cigarettes, a compass, and only one Student ally... with +1 Perception.

Then I've landslided through the mysteries, even rescuing Dog from botched forest festival.

One-shot-whipped Scissors Woman in one turn, and Takashi-San got the same treatment.

Doom? Only 72% at the very end.

"We could invite Master Guicardius to your court, Your Majesty." Clamor some of your nobles. "Having a painter like him at our service will surely give us attention of our neighbours, near and far."
