You decide that fighting shall decide the (near) future of Glennuaine! The Marshal bows his head in respect.

"My liege, are you interested in leading the combat yourself?"

A) "I vest my hopes in the hands of your capable commanders, dear Marshal!"
B) "I myself shall set an example of courage and leadership! Onwards!"

3332
You decide to send an offer of amnesty to Yoe.

1339 AD, Mid-Spring

The messenger never returned, and Yoe has managed to convince few undecided garrison commanders to join his cause!

"His forces number about two and half thousand. Besides regiments of pikemen and firemen, he has about a hundred of light cavalry." The Marshal summarizes his report. "We can still have a numbers advantage in fair combat, my liege, but only if we do not linger anymore and fight the rebel!"

A) "But wait, there was more options! We can try bribing him first!"
B) "Nah, I think I will wait this out in my keep. It's sturdy and safe."
C) "Very well then! The first blood I shed will be that of traitor scum!"

First vote and already this, why you torment me ;<;

Just joking guys I'm proud of you being able to start off like this. It's tradition!

...and while the allmighty Methiantese Empire was suffering from civil wars and vassals breaking free, a new menace has arrived in the war-torn lands. In the 1st Spring of Year 1300 AD, a flaming stone has fallen from the night sky, crashing in the plains between Tisilenteliya Forest and the Northern Mountains.

Within a year, reports of the strange, huge insectoids arrived in the southern Kingdoms. The Chitines have arrived; huge, eight-legged beasts, with rugged, tough chitin that was resilient to steel. Sharp mandibles able to tear flesh and bone clean from a grown man's body. Soon the plains were overran as the fast-breeding insects found plenty of flesh to feast upon and enough places to ensure safety of their eggs and raise their hideous larvae. Eldrican, Albionese and Sylevessef settlements soon became ruins in which only a dreaded chittering could be heard.

Elves of Tisilenteliya left their Forest, bringing forth the secrets of Magic to fight the Chitines. The insects have died to the sudden thunderstorms. The Dwarven Runesmiths has roused the earth, and so earthquakes and ruptures have crushed the eggs and swallowed the larvae.

But within the year, the Elves were in full retreat, for the Chitines, exposed to magic, have obtained a resistance to the forces. The huge forest of Tisilenteliya, with its vast canopies and dimly lit passages was a perfect breeding ground.

The elves went into exodus as their abodes and tree-bound palaces were overrun by the skulking insects. The dwarves in their halls of Mistemon and Mebekar had to collapse their tunnels, for the dampness of the mines and darkness of the underground halls were also favorites of the Chitines.

But there was as solution - Fireblood-propelled bullets were found to be more than enough to pierce through the tought carapaces of the Chitines, and the liquid Fireblood poured on their young and eggs destroyed them in blink of eye. Faced with the dreaded insects from heavens, the Elves and Dwarves sold many of their secrets, skills and services to obtain the devices with which they could defeat the Chitines.

Decades passed, and with Chitines (relatively) contained, elven, dwarven and human kingdoms and petty states turned against each other, once again vying for power.

Turmoil is everywhere...

1339 AD

Victory! The corrupt and cruel Brean of Glennuaine has been slain by you and your companions! Both men and hurthlings can now breathe easier, knowing that the tyrant is dead. Your co-conspirators, confident in your abilities, have decided to elect you, Eyrdri, as the next King of Glennuaine! You are wise man, learned in laws, histories, plants and prayers to the Pantheon.

But the Kingdom of Glennuaine is former shadow of itself, the former vineyards overgrown and the fertile valleys no longer produce foodstuffs once delivered to the tables of Eldrican and Methiantese monarchs. Many believe that a long night is falling upon Glennuaine, a dusk of its history.

You and your fellows are in good mood, however. And look! Here comes the Advisor, and in his arms, the Scrolls of Kingdom Status!

Happiness: 3
Population: 3
Economy: 5
Army: 3

You have a vague idea what those numbers mean, and the Advisor's convoluted speech is not helping. Oh well, time to get to work!

1339 AD, Spring

The Advisor hastily enters your study, with the Marshal in tow. The middle-aged man takes off his square hat.

"My liege, there are reports that Firemen troops that garrisoned the western border forts are deserting en masse to join a rebellion against your rule! They're led by Yoe of Tech, a young officer who was also one of favorites of Brean."

The Marshal salutes you, touching his pointy helmet.

"The western garrisons are small in number and size. He won't be able to muster more than two thousand. If we take those loyal to you, we can easily double their numbers if we force a battle within the coming week or so."

You decide to...

A) Offer Yoe of Tech amnesty and position in your forces, if he calls off the fight and bends the knee.
B) Send bribes to Yoe's officers and advisors, to end this rebellion before it becomes truly bloody.
C) Wait in safety of your keep.
D) Muster the army and rush to engage in combat with Yoe and his fellow traitors!

Crying Suns is cool - FTL with tactical combat (hex based RPS of different units). I like the atmosphere. A little frustrated with the endurance of enemies - some fights are just a bit better than even and takes ages to chip down the enemy hull. Makes it less snappy than FTL and more frustrating if you lose a run.

Fighters. You want fighters.

They're fast to travel, and their decent damage is made better by fast rate of fire. They are my first choice to destroy enemy battleships.

Back then in the 1200s AD, things were going okay. Now, it's 1300s AD, and nothing is the same anymore!

And a new challenger appears!!

Name: Make up some (I might frown on names based on previous dynasticals, though)
Trait: Martial, Charismatic, Wise, Healthy, Lucky
Kingdom's boon: Happiness, Population, Economy, Army
State: Dawn, Zenith, Dusk

3345
All you need to do is keep ZHOU (capital), QIN and SHU, and then grab 2 out of 3: JIN, SONG, CHU, and you've won the game.

RNG willing, this game might be over as soon as next update.
