I was talking about total conversions, like the zombie, wasteland, or dark dwarf mods, none are fully packaged(IE: A whole different copy).

You're lying. There's at least one TConversion mod that's packed as diff copy. And if you're lazy to make own copy and paste the raws, how can you wait a year in DF? If mods' authors would be lazy, you would have to make the mods yourself :P [/random_post]

If you had built a fortress at your world before, you might want to wander there, grab a pick and fight with it for Mining skill for extra exp.

No, you cannot dig in Adveture mode.

Acting like some damn Bookkeeping Manager.

Beside journal of Rigothar*, "Craftflesh" if you wish (tundra, berserking children, dehydration and usual), I keep list of:

-Citizens (wave in which they came, their family, on-place children birth dates also noted)
-Dead dwarves (just a number, gotta make a full detailed list)
-Gods (Who, how depicted, their 'spheres' and how many believers of them are in Rigothar)

When something happens (like, another baby pops up), I pause the game and write all necessary info onto the list.

*I think I will tweak the journal and post it in Community Stories sometime.

I can't wait until something similar is automated :)

Then it will be un-fun! :(

how do you remove arrows from wounds? i'm in a place where i can't quicktravel :D

'I'nteract -> Find a purple colored "Arrow", Enter, "Pull it out".

And quicktravel don't magically pulls them out.

-The Hellish Monster
-The Poisoned Flag
-The Beast of Doom
-The Worst Propability

Well, filter for "noak" in the historical figure list of a new world returns one elf with a name like "Spleenoak."  I get no more errors from it in the error log.  Turns out I had the biome token wrong, though still nothing appears now that it is fixed.

Maybe noaks only spawn in the underworld...

Because filtering works only with names, not species. You won't find 'noak' this way. You have to search through the list manually. And if they're supposed to be civs, they will surely be somewhere.

Some tags in the game, when missing, just default to some particular value. So all of the above-ground plants (or other plants missing GROWDUR) will grow at the same default rate. I forget what the rate is, and the wiki doesn't seem to list it, that I can find.

Ah, okay. I had a feel that was what happened. 

Does anyone happen to know what the default [GROWDUR] is?

There's way to find out. With some math I concluded that 1 day is equivalent to [GROWDUR:12]. Plant an above-ground, uh, plant and count the amount of days after it mature, multiply by 12 and voila! You have default [GROWDUR] for plants who miss it.

I would do it myself but my better PC is in repairs, and the one I'm on now is just crap.

But DON'T have:
-Magma
-Flux
-Sand

You can wear jewelry in Adventure Mode.  Rings go on your fingers!  I didn't expect it to actually work.

I don't think there's a limit to how many you can wear either.

I once found a human who was wearing over three pages of rings.

My memory is fuzzy, but I -think- you can only wear as many rings as you have fingers.
You can also wear amulets around your neck, too!

You can wear as much as you want. But I wonder how all those +goblin bone rings+ can fit on my thumb.
