Some rule questions:

- Can you conquer more than one territory in a turn?
- Can you conquer Zhou before you have a kingdom?

Yes, you can conquer as many adjacencies you want, as long as you dedicate at least 1 Rice (not that your chances will be high, but still).
Yes, you can, it's only unavailable to pick at start. Note that you can also create Kingdom of Zhou, and then conquer any other 3 Kingdom-states, to create a new Empire.

What are the rules on changing orders?

Good question. I will agree with NQH and say that order edits are banned.

I will make it a rule even.

A new game... well, sort-of. I remember playing one game where people were Dukes of British Isles, and tried to create Kingdoms and take control of the whole land.

You decide to order a partial retreat toward the city walls, so that your men could be assisted by archers and javelineers standing above.

Quote
6

The retreat is masterfully pulled off, so that by the time Oro's men engage yours in melee, a hail of arrows and javelins is already falling upon their heads!

Quote
5*

It seems that Duke Oro is leading the fighting himself, because despite the support, your men still have a hard day trying to fend the enemy off! They do succeed, and soon forces loyal to the traitor begin to rout! You order your men after them, not so much as to mow them down (well, okay, that too), but to prevent Duke Oro's escape

Quote
6

There's no escape for them! Your soldiers fervently pursue anyone who isn't fast enough to escape. More than two thousand bodies clad in colors of Oro family add their blood to the fields north of the capital. Its a slaughter, and complete failure of the rebellion as a whole.

What's better is that a mangled body of the elderly Duke Oro is presented to you by a pair of young soldiers! You bestow upon them pensions and nobility titles for their mighty deed.

Besides Duke Oro, his youngest son, Arrat, was the one killed by you. One of Oro's grandsons also perished, during the rout. The three remaining men of the family, Oro's first son Xon, and his grandsons Arrat and Mikel (the last one being the one whose capture you've witnessed) have been captured as well.

Not only you've crushed the rebellion in single battle, but also within your hands lies the future of the powerful noble family. After a three-day celebration within the capital, the court gathers for a meeting. The beaten and tied up sons and grandsons of Oro are presented to the gathered noblemen, wearing naught but rags and shackles. They say nothing, but various degrees of fear show within their eyes.

Everyone's stares are on you now. It's time to decide the captives' fate.

A) Down with the House of Oro! Execute these three, and then, their immediate families!
B) The eldest shall bear the punishment of execution, the rest shall be exiled!
C) Exile these three, but let their wives and children remain in Kastoria.
D) They will be let go. Their scheming, disloyal father has already paid the price, after all.

You charge against them and duel them to the death!

Quote
4*

Despite being outnumbered 2 to 1, you maintain your grp on your weapon and remain on your horse. One by one, the blows of your opponents are parried by your blade before you can counterattack, dealing a gash here and a cut there.

Quote
4*

This continues for a while, and one of the combatants, no doubt younger and less stoic than his companion, finally gets unhorsed by you. You turn to the remaining combatant! Death or glory!!

Quote
3

You receive a wound from his mace at your left arm, and you feel a radiating pain from the wound. No doubt the bone has been damaged, if not broken altogether!

Quote
6

Then, a window of opportunity presents itself when the man misses his blow. You turn around and then thrust with your sword into his abdomen. He yells in pain as the blade strikes him between the ribs! His horse gets startled and he falls off onto the ground, his body not moving.

A moment later, some of your soldiers and orcish bodyguards rejoin with you, and one of the orcs throws a weighted-down rope around the legs of the other, still alive man, who tried to duel you. The man trips over, his ankles tangled, and is taken captive!

You run back behind the safety of your men as the captive is taken further back.

The melee continues, but in the same time a trumpet announces presence of a general - Duke Oro himself has moved his troops to your position, intending for a pitched battle! It seems that you will have an opportunity to settle the score here, at the northern encampment.

A) CHARGE THEN! DEATH AND GLORY!
B) I ain't ready to fight him! Retreat!
C) Let's try to draw his forces up to the capital's walls!

You decide to carry forth with teh assault!

Quote
2*

The next camp you strike is well aware of your fighting and has prepared nasty traps and stocked their archers with arrows! Many of your men die before you realize that the battle is greatly against you!

What's even worse, you're isolated from your men and the orcs. That caused two men clad in Oro's cloaks to ride forth, their dueling maces held high! His sons? Grandsons maybe? Important knights or veteran officers??

A) CHAAAAAAARGEE!!
B) RUN AWAAAYYY!!

You decide not only to allow for the counterattack, but proclaim that you shall join it itself to strike down the rebel scum! The officers and nobles are impressed with your bravery.

The same noon, you mount the war horse prepared for you and lead the charge through the eastern gates!

Quote
3

The initial charge isn't very successful, and one could say it was a failure! The stakes planted by Oro's archers killed several horsemen up front (luckily, not you), and then the massed infantry and archers started dealing severe damage to your forces!

Quote
4*

The charge turns into a static melee, and now your men are pushing, for the camp siegeing this side of the capital is obviously smaller than the whole garrisoned force that spilled onto the fields with you. The enemy tents are set on fire while their soldiers are being overwhelmed, if not by skill of your men, then simply by their numbers.

A) We still have the advantage! Press onto the next camp before Oro's forces regroups!
B) Okay, we did the thing, let's go back behind the walls!

The drinking shooting game at Ensign Jenkins' birthday party had more accurate shots than the cannon fire from RN Virtually Sunk Already's batteries!

You decide to dismiss the messenger, and make a good show of it by having him shot while your own messenger proudly announces from the gate that this is the future fate of all traitors rising against rightful Kings and Queens of Kastoria!

446 AEC, Summer

The siege continues and the capital is cut off as forces of Duke Oro have managed to lay claim to all surrounding areas.

446 AEC, Midsummer

Due to the heat, the water is getting scarce, and both people and army engineers tried to dig up new wells.

Quote
3

They've failed, and thirst is getting people upset!

446 AEC, Late Summer

Duke Oro has assembled catapults and battering rams at last, and has launched an assault!

Quote
3*

While most of the fortifications and entrances to the city hold, the main eastern gate gives in! The soldiers of the traitor are on the streets of the capital!

Quote
5

Fortunately your own garrison of nine thousand manages to withstand the assault and repel the rebels!

As the fighting at the gates is coming to a close, a hurried delegation of your nobles and officers is asking you to give an order to launch a counter attack, raid Duke Oro's camp and kill him off!

A) WE SHALL RIDE ALL, MIGHTY AND STRONG!!
B) Let them attack, they might win!
C) Nah, hurriedly repair the gate and back to sitting game we go!
