"Leave horsey alone, you bastards!" You unsheathe your sword and run at the lizards! You gonna stab their brains out for what they've done.

Quote
6

You skillfully dodge the maw of the reptile that was interested in you, and plunge your sword between its eyes. It gurgles and hisses in shock, quickly turning onto its back as dark red blood sputters from the terrible wound.

One down, two to go! The damn reptiles quickly catch up at what is transpiring and charge you!

Quote
4*

The reptiles prove persistent combatants, but you avoid their maws and get to their sides. One gets a stab in the side of its underbelly, the other almost loses its tail to a powerful swing of your sword. Their enthusiasm and combat ability disappears quite fast.

Quote
3

Then one of them bites your free hand! You pull it away from the maw of the dangerous reptile, and step away. Blood seeps from needle-like bite marks all over your palm.

Adrenaline is powerful drug however, and you quickly retake the initiative.

Soon enough, one tail gets fully chopped off, and another reptile's ugly head is pierced. The bodies of the strange green lizards twitch and coil in final spasms, before becoming motionless.

You approach your horse, which is wheezing as blood pools from the wounds on its neck, head and legs. You stab it in the head to relieve it from the pains of death.

Your hand is bleeding somewhat. You should take care of it.

A) I will just wrap it up and carry on. Without my horse, I must hurry!
B) Better clean up the wound, patch it up, and stay around for a while so it heals at least partially.

The reptiles, however, seem rather dense beasts. Mayhaps their flesh could prove nutritious? Who knows, it might be even tasty, all you need is to roast it up before maggots and flies take interest in the dead reptiles.

A) I better not indulge on exotic foods, lest they turn out poisonous or something.
B) I will feast on the roasted reptile meat in honor of my dead horse!

MF Bone Apart vs HMS Doggo:
DC1 Main: 3+1+0+1-1 = 4 < 5, miss!
DC2 Secondary: 6+1+0+1-1 = 7 > 5, hit! Comproll: 8, UC3 Engine Room is hit for 1 Damage!
DC4 Tertiary: 4+1+1+0+1-1 = 6 > 5, hit! Comproll: 4, DC4 Secondary Battery is hit for 1 Damage!

The barrage from MF Bone Apart damaged HMS Doggo, the most critical of the hits being at the engine room!

@Luckus:

Cedric walked back and forth for a moment and then looked at Lucas. When Markus brought in new info, the youth gasped.

"I don't know... I don't..."

@Hobointerceptors:

The bearded vagabond howled when Marietta poked him with the blade.

"Hans duns know anything, Hans just wants food, dun hurt Hans, dunhurtHansdunknowsanythingpleasedunhurt!" He began to bawl about.

@Sylvianne:

As if guided by an (un)lucky star, Sylvianne stepped into a small room inside the old keep that was used as meat storage, where rebels dried their foodstuffs.

In a pool of blood, Master Godfried laid, still and unmoving.

Then, he turned his head! He reached with his hand, mumbling something toward Sylvianne.

//As an MF navy Armoured Cruiser, Archer Fish has 2 Damcom teams, so you can fix multiple items! Unfortunately your Ammo Magazine is damaged, so only 1 battery can fire per turn.

MF Archer Fish vs HMS Doggo:
DC2 Main: 2+1+0-1 = 2 < 5, miss!

The excellent engineers of the MF academy began working Archer Fish back into fighting shape. The battery fire was slow and ineffective.

@Markus:

Very quickly, Markus found tracks of many hooves in the wet ground, leading toward the other, smaller gate, which led northwards. In that direction, few hours away, lie farmlands of Lufin and the town itself.

@Marion:

Marion did not find Sister Luitgard anywhere - neither her, or her body at least. Considering that all other rebels were left where they died, there was a slimmer of hope...

Then, Marion almost got bumped onto by a small, smelly, bearded man in a hooded cloak. He was dragging with him a large bag, and a knife glimmered in his hands. Seeing Marion, he let something resembling an wheezing gasp.

Startled, he turned around and started running away! Only to end in front of bloodthirsty Marietta.

"You no hurt Hans! Hans did nothing! Hans here only for food!" The hobo howled, and turned to run away from Marietta as well.

HMS Doggo vs MF Archer Fish:
DC4 Secondary: 1+1+0-1+1 = 2 < 5, miss!

After Captain Redwolf was incapacitated from the latest blast, First Officer Khang takes control of the ship! Unfortunately, the gunners miss his designated target.

You decide to stay in the keep.

It's decrepit gate opens with a gentle push from your hand. The courtyard is overgrown and you can barely see the flat path stones under all the grass and bushes. A local stream has broke through the ground, or under one of the walls - or maybe it was incorporated into the design of this place - and most of the ground to your far left, within the castle grounds, is a murky bog of tall grasses and lilypads.

You enter the main building, the only one with its roof intact. Much to your surprise, it's not a throne room, but looks like an old mead hall. Rows of rotten woods flank the central path, and the sturdy stone supports grow cobwebs at the places they meet with the roof.

You find bread furnaces and firepits in the back.

You decide to make a fire with help of some flint you have and twigs from outside.

Once the fire gets going, you decide its a good spot as any to spend the night.

(Supplies: 9)

In the morning, a sudden whine of your horse makes you jump out of your slumber. You rush out of the keep, sword in hand... and see your horse, being wrestled down by two large, flat, green lizards! Whatever are those beasts!? They have triangular maws with many needle-like fangs, and two slitted eyes.

They're munchin down on the neck and legs of your horse, which is haplessly trying to survive the encounter.

A third one suddenly slides out of the tall grasses of the murky pool, it's six stumpy legs forcing it to zigzag across the ground. Instead, however, of helping its brethren with the horse, it opens its maw in your direction, letting out a guttural hiss.

A) Forget the horse, I'm outta here!
B) Leave horsey alone, you bastards!

Cedric moved between buildings and peeking inside them, but it was clear he was less searching and running around like a headless chicken.

Someone should find any clues, or better, yet, survivors.

Who shall uncover the plot!? Is there anything left than just console Cedric? Who knows~!

Markus was thus first - after Cedric - to witness the carnage within the rebel camp.

Numerous bodies, were laying haphazardly on the ground, their faces drowning in mud and blood. No one was spared, not even the elderly matrons doing the cooking and young kids that were doing errands for the rebels... all of them were dead.

No wonder that the gate was unguarded - for there was no one left alive to guard it.

"G... Godfried! Luitgard!!" Cedric ran deeper into the camp, towards the ruined buildings that housed most of the rebels most of the time.

Disregarding safety - and his comrades words, Cedric hopped off his horse and ran up to the gate, pushing against it.

He managed to open it slightly, a clear sign that the door was not barred from the inside, and he moved inside the camp.

Then there was silence.

"Finally! Let's move!" And Cedric the slave-driver rebel boy led his group back home. The rain returned, stronger than before, creating tiny streams of muddy water between the members of the group every so often.

The palisades surrounding the old keep were tall and sturdy, and the gate was closed. The sentry house, built hastily above the gate, was often housed by at least one, if not two sentries at once, but...

"Ludwig? Robert? Anton!" Cedric stared at the sentry house, but only silence replied to him.
