We are the Indian Sultanate of Kashmir. Much like most of Indian states in the area (sans Rajputs), our Muslim elites are ruling over thousands of Hindu subjects.
We have a decent, military ruler with a decent heir quite close to the adulthood (Allah save him from ultimely death).

Oh, and we happen to start while being at war with the Great Conqueror of Persia, Khan Timur Timurid, and his hordes of murderous nomads.
"Oh boy, Haspen, how do you win this!?" Pfft, easy question, easy answer!

You get distracted by an offer of alliance from the mighty Sultanate of Delhi itself?
Sure thing. Sure!

How are we not dead yet.
I've seen some peace treaties with Georgia and Jalayrids involved, so... they sure are conquering in the west.
But where the heck is Timur??

Already dead, it turns out. With various snippets and black-red flags popping up around Timurid territories, it seems a pretender took over.
Does that mean we can take their provinces?

We can at least pass out some decisions.
When we get a Theologian, few more will be available, including a bunch that will boost our missionary numbers, which will be crucial if we want to go innovative (and thus, tech fast enough).

Overall, with Jizya plus these two, we get a penalty to stability, national revolt risk increase, in return for extra money, and +1 missionary per year. Cool with me.
Timurid murder hordes still not anywhere close to Kashmiri borders.

One province is in our hands!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! We barely have 1% war score, and they're already coming!
Someone send them a treaty, quick!! Will they accept our defeat!? Do they want a tribute? I don't wanna think about economy if they-

Sure. Okay.
Let's go with that.
This means that our greatest and most life-threatening of problems went out of the window for at least few years. What do we do now?

We gather some money, apparently.
How can we expand, though? One way is Timurids, the other is our ally, Delhi.

We make some marriage offers and get alliance offers in return.
Maybe we don't need to be friends with Delhi after all!

Not sure what Bihar thought while declaring a crusade against Delhi, but we join in on the fun.
We can't really help, of course, but hey - free war tax is good tax!

The war ends after just half a year, when Bihar asks for white peace.
Then we get 3 ducats from a very good harvest.

While Delhi is plunged into horrific civil war with at least 3 pretenders to the throne involved, we celebrate.
The coming of age of Ali Shah, that's it.
I've also decided that because we cannot be a military power (yet), we might as well make inroads into Indian centres of trade, like Kutch, and Bihar.

Man, I'm glad I've decided to not play as Delhi at the last minute.
Everyone is out there to murder Delhi! And nobody bothers with the tiny Kashmir. Phew! I think we're quite well off...
Wait, I'm forgetting something really-

Aaaaaaahh shit.
