Well, while I wait here for his arrival, you should investigate the locale... it seems like some sort of festival or a mercantile day going on, though I don't remember hearing about any. See if you might get something from the passerbies and students." The Captain moved a step closer to the group. "Move in groups if possible, though. For a long while now, the university militia is keeping an eye on us." And indeed, whoever would look to the left, would see a trio of uniformed macemen - they were alternating between giving passing glances to the visitors, and bluntly staring at Captain Astleich or people from his group.

It's was then when a man in clashing palette of colors approached the group.
"You must be Captain Astleich, correct?"
"That's right."
"Sergeant Siegfried Bonefaz. My boss couldn't see you and the Headmaster is currently at a meeting. What brings you here?"
"You're Lord Bonefaz's...?"
"He's my uncle. Got me the job. So what brings you here? I'm a busy man myself." Captain Astleich spent few minutes recalling the happenings of the last one-and-half chapter, and because everyone keeps up with the IC thread, it does not need to be repeated.
"...I see. I will send men to bury the bodies. I shall report this to the local militia, too, so they keep their eyes open. I will ask my uncle to see you as soon as possible."
"One more question, if you don't mind?" The green-haired man's stare obviously betrayed the fact he didn't like it. "You mentioned that your 'boss' is away?"
"Captain Oislef? Yeah, he's on an errand to... Wyrmpeak, I think was it. Escorting an important parcel. Anything else?"
"No, thank you." The Captain waited for Siegfried Bonefaz to get away before turning part-ways towards Shaelynn.
"I would love to know the magic that lets one man simultaneously deliver a parcel while also visiting his family. How about you, Miss Shaelynn?"

"Let's move."Chapter 3: The Goveron University
Ah, the Goveron University! Centre of learning, enchanting, and manufacture of arcane items for this side of Overseasland! And, apparently, of rebel activity as well!...
It was quite filled with people at the moment, too. The gates were wide open, and pack mules and horses were being led in and out by, quite possibly, merchants of esoteric material. Happy and relaxed students were leaving in pairs and groups for the surrounding inns, taverns, brot- markets and shops. Those coming in looked like learned persons and researchers and sages of their own.
There was also a lot of militia keeping an eye on those coming and going. Captain Astleich approached one of them.
"Greetings, Captain Astleich of the Reich Army. I wish to inquire whether you could ask Lord Archibald Bonefaz for an audience, in my name? We have urgent matters to discuss, including report of an assault on the way here.""Lord Bonefaz is busy at a meeting right now."
"I see... can you ask your superior to come, then?""Captain Oislef has left on a trip to his family home-"
"His assistant, then. Surely someone in charge is currently available." The maceman glared at Captain Astleich, smacked his lips, and then grumbled."I will get the Sergeant for you. Also get inside, don't block the passageways. We're busy." The maceman led the grup inside the main building.
The pillared hall was four-story high, and the balconies and corridors and staircases were flooded with people - students mingling up with noble-looking ladies and gentlemen, snobby scholars squeezed between merchants whose servants were carrying staves, heavy tomes, bottles and boxes in big heaps.
The tall statue of one of the Emperors, dominated the centre of the courtyard, however - a tall man in his thirties, supporting himself with a simple walking stick. A large plaque, with letters large enough to be read from afar, said:
'TO OUR BENEFACTOR, EMPEROR
MATIAS I, FOR HIS GENEROSITY
AND SUPPORT OF MAGICAL ARTS.
----ERECTED IN YEAR 350----'
A rather short line-up of busts of elderly-looking men stood on the right side of the courtyard, not far from the statue.
"Elegant statue." The Captain commented, which seemed to displease the maceman."Right. Stay here then, I will fetch the Sergeant." The Captain placed his hands at his belt then, and seemingly was content with waiting as ordered.

"Probably the faculty too... but why Reich's own high officials would plot against it? Who else is involved, and are there actual Overseaslanders behind this? Well, the Governor and I hope to find out. Are you with us, Mister Jann?"

In this run, it's absolute primogeniture, because such is Father's and Mother's wish for the eldest to inherit (and is why youngest get least). It's why the nobles are making such a fuss aboot it. Putting youngest over elder is also a reason for the pious ones to make a fuss, btw.

In the letter, he reassures you that Arina will be treated with highest honors as the wife of Marti and the peoples of Kastoria will receive the greatest priviledges available, down to a taxation exempts on few things.
Your court is enraged by the reply - its blatant rejection of your suggestion, after all.
There's lots of shouting, because your nobles are angery that there's no better way to solve this than to break law, either religious or royal.
A) "What else to do but annul the marriage? Arina will have another husband one day!"
B) "I would rather see Kastoria a subject than a law-breaker!"
C) "Little Marti can have Arina, but one of my other children will rule Kastoria instead!"
D) Definitely send for the Spymaster this time.
