We go to war with Novgorod - the reason for war is simple 'Imperialism', and a more thorough one is that Polotsk recently gained a core on their land.
Any reason to make our rivals smaller and our vassals larger is a good reason for war!

Doesn't take long to cripple Novgorod.
Bryansk is given away to our loyal vassal, the Duke of Polotsk, for free.

The rebellious peasants demand freedoms! Although they are already pretty free, they still want more.
King Friedrich IV is not willing to entertain 30+ stacks of peasant forces in western Germany, so he accepts the demands.
Stupid rebellious peasants...

Oh, how nice! Wilhelm Friedrich finds time to astonish his peers with poetry and novelettes!
I mean, what is there for him to do, if his father's enlightened rule has brought peace and stability to Germany in the last two decades?

+25% Discipline is basically +25% more damage. There's no kill like overkill!
In the background, you see us fighting Crimea - the nomadic raiders still believe its early 15th century. Poor guys.

People of Brittany have finally accepted our overlordship!
There should be no more revolts in that region, even during wartime.

King Friedrich IV has decided that, instead of simply defeating the Crimean tatars, we might instead educate and civilize them.
After all, some scenic villages on the coast of the Black Sea might make a wonderful spa resorts in the future!

TREACHERY!! DISHONOR!! MURDER!!
First time in history of Prussia and Germany, one of our rulers have been assassinated!
We do not know what is worse - that's its the benevolent, enlightened Friedrich IV that did it, or was it our amicable neighbours, the Urbinese.

At least Wilhelm Friedrich has a heir, a bit underage though, ready to replace him if anything happens.
As expected, Kingdom of Urbino is not remorseful at all, and took our accusation as an insult.
Now, it is time to avenge King Friedrich. Over 160k German troops are making their way to Trent and Tirol, for there will be war!

The Urbinese called for help from Naples and few minor Italian states.
That won't stop us from pulverizing their sorry Kingdom into dust!

We were wondering why Siena, the Urbinese ally, didn't feel suicidal enough to join the war.
Turns out, they have their own problems.
Urbinese fleet has been contained and their strategic cities are under siege. Their main army lost the Battle of Ancona and is in full retreat.

The Second Battle of Ancona sees the Army of Naples, some 25k men, destroyed, while Army of Urbino is severely depleted.
It retreats to Firenze, where Herr Johann Leopold Hertel and the 1st Army defeat them once again.
Belgians, bloodthirsty for combat, besiege and assault their northern holdings.

Urbino has surrendered to our demands and we impose a harsh treaty upon them.
They have to release their northern holdings as Kingdom of Ferrara, which will be made into German puppet, sooner or later.

While Crimea needs re-education, and enemies of Germany creep in the shadows, it is time to end this.
...And I should fix that ending text already.
Auf Wiedersehen, Deutschland!
