...because every FEF is a different world, continents, cultures, campaign goals and everything in-between?

You can't make a default character for something that varies with each game ;v

Stop being lazy and make a sheet if you want to play, nobody's gonna do your work for you v;

EDIT: Ninja'd

There's no default character.

You must make your own from scratch, from stats, skills, to backstory, and, very often, the mug itself ;v

Also I forgot about the caravans this year, so I rolled just now; salt brought usual profits and so did jewellry.

You announce that you will use your charisma and political maneuvering to solve the crisis and make Kastoria the senior partner of this!

Your nobles murmur and nod in agreement, but its obvious they're not believing your capabilities this time.

Nonetheless, you send the letters to King Anreu and his court.

416 AEC, Late Winter

The funding of villages continues, as people build new homes and new grants are being issued every week or so.

416 AEC, End of the Year

You wait for the reply, but it not coming. At least, not yet.

The days kept passing by until it is finally year's end. And here comes the Advisor with Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

"My liege! Our Kingdom continues to prosper, and our Treasury is full of money. I would like to suggest spending it on something that shall bring benefit to our Kingdom!"

A) "Sure, let's donate to the poor and the homeless, so they all learn of my generosity!"
B) "How about we send a gift to one of our neighbours to gain their trust!" (pick a neighbouring country)
C) "Fetch the Drakish artificers, then, we shall commission an artiafct!"
D) "Let us refurbish the old forts and construct new border keeps, then!"
E) "Nah, better not!"
F) "Send lavish gifts to my noblemen, they sure work hard for the country!"
G) "That means we ought to draft new soldiers and build new warships!"

You decide to play negotiator and mediate between the zealot clergy and the heathen count.

Quote
7!*

Despite all the angry shouting, all the (mutual) accusations of heathenry, and working against the Kingdom, you finally broker an agreement in which the Cult of the Father and the Mother will compensate Count Baltena for the loss of his gardens with a hefty sum of money from the Cult's coffers.

Courtiers praise you on your skill of negotiatons, and would hail you as 'The Negotiator' if you weren't already known under a different title!

416 AEC, Winter

Tragedy strikes! Your son Kemen is dead!

It was a nice family dinner until the dreaded roasted chicken was put on the table. Kemen, always a big eater (despite his small stature), took a whole piece of a breast into his mouth. Suddenly, he started to choke!

All was for naught; neither the smacking on the back, the hugging, or the digging with a spoon to make him vomit. Your little boy gurgled and choked to death in your own arms.

Such is life - it is made so easily, and undone even easier.

You have his sarcophagus added to the family tombs whilst the scholars announce to all his passing, and the ascension of your daughter Arina as the Crown Princess and the heiress to the throne of Kastoria.

416 AEC, Midwinter

Doesn't take long for most of your courtiers to realize that the future of your dynasty line, and thus, the future of independent Kastoria, is in peril.

After all, your daughter Arina is destined to marry Marti, Crown Prince of Xane-Peon. As the law dictates, Arina will rule Kastoria and Marti will rule Xane-Peon, but any child born from their relationship shall be considered a Garsean first and a Lycwyllian second. That will result in them becoming rulers of Xane-Peon first and foremost, leaving Kastoria as a junior partner in such a personal union. Or, if the court at Xane so decides, Kastoria will be integrated into Xane-Peon, its lands made into your neighbour's new provinces - something your noblemen dread.

"We can't allow another to rule our country!" Some courtiers cry out, finding lots of accepting murmurs and nodding heads amongst their ilk. "Have we overthrown the Tyrant simply to live under the yoke of foreigners?"

"What do you want us to do? Break the bethrothal with a fellow Familial dynasty? What will gods say about this sacriledge? The bonds of matrimony, current and future, are sacred and unviolable!" Some of the more conservative voices are quickly riposted by the less traditional ones:

"Mayhaps we should break it off. Shame and dishonor isn't the worst we've had to swallow so far."

"Why are you all so negative?" Says the Duke Circo himself. "Our monarch is a shrewd politician and a charming speaker. We might have a chance to turn it around and have Xane-Peon accept us as senior partners in the relationship!" There's lots of scoffing, laughing, arguing and shouting before someone points out the obvious: "No sane, self-respecting man of high honor would allow for this!"

The court is in uproar, the future of Kastoria depends on your choice - and the choice is now yours...

A) "The marriage must be annulled. Gods strike me down, but I would rather die than see my countrymen made subjects of another!"
B) "The marriage shall proceed as planned. We must all accept our fate as it is!"
C) "I shall send envoys and letters to Anreu of Xane-Peon, asking him to consider Arina as the future leader of our nations."
D) Say nothing to the crowd - instead, ask a nearby courtier to fetch you the Spymaster at once, for there's a plot to hatch.
E) -

Yeh but your victory condition isn't Doggo's survival, but rather Kaga's sinking ;v

You attempt to convince a further relationship by the means of a trade deal.

"Sadly, no, we are not. Your gesture will be noted, and I'm sure that in coming years King Afonso might present an offer of his own. May Father and Mother watch over you, King Lycwl." The diplomats leave soon enough.

416 AEC, Autumn

The gold bullion arrives on schedule! It is sent right into the Treasury, much to the delight of the Treasurer.

416 AEC, Mid-Autumn

A dispute has erupted in the capital's city council.

Apparently, workers of Count Huino Baltena, during renovation of expansion of his family's estate gardens have struck polished rocks. Further excavation exposed an ancient temple, the arrangement of stones and tiles pointing it to one of the old temples of the Father and the Mother, the archaic floorplan dating it to very early years of the religion, just before collapse of Etreria!

Unfortunately, Count Baltena, a Dogan devout, is not willing to budge to the clergy's request for his estate's gardens to be passed into hands of the cult for renovation of the temple as a holy site. This of course angered the clerics, who claim that Count Baltena is a heretic and a traitor to the Kastorian way of living.

Courtiers murmur, as many are friends of Count Baltena, whilst other are supporters of the Familial faith and don't like Baltena's heathenry.

What do?

A) I will compensate Count Baltena by buying his gardens on the Cult's behalf!
B) I ain't touching this, let them find a way themselves!
C) The cult of the Father and the Mother cannot turn over someone's estate for a pile of old rubble, and I shall explain to them why.
D) Maybe if I offer to sponsor renovation of one of their other old temples in the region, the Cult will leave Count Baltena's estate in peace?
E) It's time for me to intervene and negotiate between the Count and the Cult, for the good of all!
F) Count Baltena needs to see the importance of the ancient temple site for our brethren - I must persuade him to relent.
